Hello, I just started using the Kadence theme and its great.
I am running into an issue and hoping someone could help me out.
My homepage has Gallery(adv) in all the 5 places.
But when I check the same Homepage in Mobile/tablet view, the images are NOT displaying.
I have attached images for reference.

Hi Carla, your responses to different queries have been very useful to me. I am a bit confused about something. I have the authors’ biographical info in the users settings but it does not show on author’s pages. I know I can create separate element for author archives but my website is multi author so i can not create separate author pages using element. Can you please tell me how can I add customized info to authors pages and if I can not create customized authors pages separately then please tell me how to add the basic information along with social media profiles on authors page where it is currently showing only the posts by authors.

I added the word because I cannot get any search engine other than google to have the website appear. I thought perhaps because I had deleted it from the actual front page it was the reason the website isn’t appearing. According to the Google Console it is being indexed (along with apparently FEEDs (RSS) and haven’t a clue why, where that’s coming from, and such) and a page that is my name… and that page is no where to be found in drafts, pages, etc.

But, in regards to this:

So, I can just delete the word “HOME” from the front page and perhaps eventually the site will show up on other search engines?

I deactivated SPECTRA for the time being. I loaded the Kadence Gutenberg Plug in. I am trying to “just simply” have the word HOME not appear on the FRONT PAGE. Here is a screen capture. The hide button works on all the other pages except the one I want it to work on. So, how do I fix this (I am not a coder).

I am using SiteOrigin PageBuilder on the home page and there is a space below the Kadence Slider and above the page builder I can’t seem to get rid of.
Tried all margin setting in the builder but it seems to be a slider setting??
Any CSS to remove that spacing below the slider?

Hi Jim,

I can see the blue box you are referring to.

You mentioned that you have LiteSpeed Cache and Autoptimize installed. You have removed Autoptimize and added it back. Did the issue start after adding Autoptimize back?

It is most likely being caused by a specific optimization feature on your website.

I am also seeing that the mobile header navigation is not working on your website.

You can try including these JS files in JS Deferred Excludes:

Hi there!

Could you send us a link to your page? Also, the screenshot you sent doesn’t seem to show the Vimeo video.

On the other hand, if you want the video to fill up the Row Layout better, you can add this to the Row Layout block’s Custom CSS:

selector .kb-blocks-bg-video-container.embedded .kb-blocks-bg-video {
  transform: scale(1.2);
}

You can change the value inside scale() to adjust the video size further.

Hi there!

I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

You can avoid nesting Row Layout blocks to avoid a large DOM size. For example, set 6 columns for the row and select the column layout where 3 columns will show per row.

After that, set the images as background images for each column. You can utilize the “background overlay” setting of the columns (Section blocks).

Use custom CSS codes to hide/show each column’s contents.

Unfortunately, I had already tried this solution, and the products still only display in one column.
I don’t understand why it works on your side and not mine.
I made a scrrenshot of the additional CSS in my customizer, and the result in smartphone screen :

Could it be that the page width, which I set to default a long time ago, is causing the problem?
Or another display setting?

Yes, the Section background does not have the “force background image inline”.

After a quick search in our logs, I have found that a feature request has been already made for this to be possible in the future.

Thanks for the reply Bonn!

I have cleared my caches using W3 Total Cache and in my browser, have done so with multiple browsers and no luck. I have disabled all plugins (except Kadence Gutenberg Blocks). Screenshots of those things attached. Any idea of what else it could be?

I’ve been working on this site for awhile and it’s been through many revisions, is there something lingering in the HTML of the header/footer that I’m not aware of? The homepage is available at https://www.mzdata.co/ to look at.

I have Bluehost, a new site so all clear settings, and I keep getting an error message when I try to use any starter template. I have pro and the plugins all installed fine. The page when trying a starter templaye says Error installing, try again later.
The actual error when I look it up is an auto index error (no matching directory index). Bluehost can’t figure it out and I’ve been sitting on a ticket with Kadence (not sure of their normal timeline). I feel like I can’t be the only one with this issue since everything is baseline with both a popular hosting site AND theme!

Hi, Randy!

I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

If you want to have a pagination, Gutenberg’s Query Loop block might work better for you. Here’s a link to its tutorial – https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/query-loop-block/.

On the other hand, this page will still not replace the “Posts Page”. The blog is an archive page and it does use a different template.

Should you want to use the normal page to act as your “blog” page, then you can add that page’s link to your “blog” menu link. Another thing you can do is to add a redirect to that page if a user goes to the real blog/archive page URL.

The Kadence theme doesn’t have the search.php file. The “Search Results” page also makes use of the archive.php file inside the template-parts/content folder.

On the other hand, should you do an override, you can add the search.php file to your child theme. This file should be used by the search results page – https://share.zight.com/mXuzB7py

The Menu Order in the Post Grid or Post Grid/Carousel block does not apply to blog posts.

The Menu Order is assigned by WordPress and is usually used for things like pages because pages have a page attributes section where you can assign order numbers.

The theme info you are probably seeing is the “Coming Soon” plugin I was using, which I had turned off but just now deactivated entirely. Sorry for the confusion, you should be able to see the home page now.

I did a Zight share to show you the behavior, you should see that it’s Kadence in there. Let me know what you think the issue is, thanks!

There is no option/block to display an inline conversion banner.

In this link https://streamable.com/ktvgih I show how I am going to the Customizer and have a header and footer customized, but then when switching back to the editor and previewing the page that the header/footer are not properly applying the changes as I see them in the Customizer.

If there is a part of the process you would like me to record I can do that, just let me know what to do.
