Let’s say you have an Ascend theme website with a transparent header. The home page has a light logo on a dark background, but the rest of the website has a dark logo on a light background. Now, since most pages would be utilizing the dark logo… you would set your logo choice in theme options to the dark logo, and that would cover 99% of your website.

But, the remaining 1% is the home page… and the home page requires a light logo because the dark header background. How would you change the logo for just the home page?

What CSS would you use?
Or would this be a PHP code snippet?
Or would this be a javascript script?

Please let me know.

Hey @karla I’m having the same problem with a client site. In the bottom part of this page you can see a list of CPT created with Metabox
https://www.matteosalvi.net/servizi-urologia/
They don’t have URL property, page and archive. I’m using the CPT to make it easy to manage and add other things in the list.
WP is preventing me to have more than 10 items loaded. How can I fix this?

There’s no option for that on the Post/Page Settings – https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/how-to-setup-page-post-settings/

But you can definitely add a custom CSS code to hide them.

Alternatively, if you have the pro-add-ons for both the Kadence theme and Kadence Blocks plugin, you can create a single post template to be applied to specific pages/posts. This can be done using the “Hooked Elements” feature – https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/creating-a-template-element/

Hi

I have an issue with large distance between product main information like gallery, pricing, sizes etc. and full description.
When adjusting in woocommerce everything looks good but when opening as a standard customer there is large gap between these sections (both mobile and desctop).
Any ideas how to solve?

I am new to Kadence wp theme, coming from Virtue in my former blog.

I started my new blog at blog2.datium.eu fresh, and added a Starter Template (Real Estate). But I can’t figure out how font colours work (I choose a palette where colours 3 to 6 are black and grey, and 7 to 9 whites
But then, I cannot understand by title in pages (just on top of the image) is white (which is right, since image is dark), but individual posts are white as well, which is wrong, since background is white as well.
I am tackling with customize (Colours and Fonts) with no success.

May I have a clue to solve this situation? Should be something very basic.

At the same time, where can I have more palettes on hand, I only see 8 of them.

Thank you, Architabasandrai. I’m looking for a second, different image on hover (not color overlay, etc.).

For example:
Normal: shows image1.jpg (feature image dynamic content)
On Hover: shows image2.jpg (Custom image field dynamic content)

I was able to create it with a section block using a background image + Overlay Background image.

But it would be nice to see an option to do this either with “image overlay” or “Icon info box,” to have easier image ratio options and better lazy loading performance instead of using background images.

Or, is it possible to have some sort of lazy loading with background images, the way I’m using the section option in this example? Because with this option, I guess page loading time will be very slow since it will wait to load every background image at the same time, instead of loading in a hierarchy option through the viewport, thus providing a better user experience.

Is there a way to generate a link to see how my pages look on a tablet and mobile? But without accessing site preview in admin mode. The previews available in template are useless. Everything looks completely messed up and adjusting anything in tablet mode screws up the desktop view. I’m beyond frustrated. This should not be that hard.
Also, anyone has the issues with how pages look in draft vs how pages look in previews? Screenshots attched.

If you only need to paste the shortcode on a page, you can use the Gutenberg Shortcode block:

You can also add that shortcode across the pages/posts/archives using the Kadence Hooked Element:

I currently have a shortcode with my old theme and am moving everything over to Kadence; however, I cannot find a place to add a shortcode. I specifically need it for a little snippet of text about my privacy policy at the top of the page. I like using shortcodes so Google doesn’t pick up the text when scanning the site as it would show up in search results.

Is there a way to create shortcodes or something similar for this reason?

Thanks for your reply Victor.

I understand your point of view. But in my case, since I’m just using the ‘Post Blocks’ feature to display posts on ‘Home’ page, the ONLY way to get ‘H1s’ tags is by selecting them from there.

I have also tried to change the ‘entry-loop-title.php’ template, but all of those HTML tags become H1 (probably I’m doing something wrong).

At this point, is there any solution to apply H1 to a specific post by using ‘Post Blocks’ or by modifying the ‘entry-loop-title.php’ template?

Thanks for reaching out.

It is intentional that we do not have the H1 option available for the Posts block. Having multiple H1 Headings on a page would hurt the page’s SEO.

It’s always a best practice to have a single H1 for every page. If you’d like to submit a feature request for Kadence Blocks, you can do so by Clicking Here.

when using pagination in a tab block, the page link heads to the “opening tab” even if the grid block is not in that tab.
Can you tell me if there is a way to force the pagination link to remain on the right tab instead ?

Thanks for the link to your website.

The issue seems to be coming from the header, but I couldn’t see which style is causing it.

Can you please clear the website cache and try to deactivate the plugins temporarily? See if it makes a difference.

If it does not, please try to reduce the Content Max Width (e.g., 1200px) in Customizer > General > Layout as it looks like you are already using Full Width page/post layout.
