Hey, so you’re adding text to the short description box and it’s not showing up on the front end, correct? Is this happening on all your product pages? My guess is a plugin issue. Try deactivating and see if that changes anything.

Hi,
I have a flex slider at the top of my home page and then have few other things below (home widget area with text, portfolio carousel, and home page content). There is a lot of white space below the flex slider. I played with the padding of the slider, but that didn’t seem to fix it. Also, I noticed that as I scroll, the content below the slider appears to sort of “jump” or move on the page to suddenly be closer to the slider and then back to its original position. This jumping also happens sometimes when not scrolling just looking at the content below the slider. I tried the page on several browsers and another computer and it was doing the same.

I would like to reduce the white space to about half of what is between the slider and the text content, and avoid this “jumping” issue. I’m not sure if it’s a padding issue or some setting that I have in place that’s causing this. I tried several css codes I found in the forum here to change the padding, but it only ever moved the slider up or down, but never reduced the space below the slider.

Any ideas on how I can achieve this? Thank you!

Thanks, I figured out a way around it with the page builder. I wasn’t aware that it was completely not possible to add the link as I was asking. Still learning my way around the theme and around designing my site!

Also, is there a limit to the number of Portfolio posts per page? I am likely to have about 30 galleries, which I will want to filter down to Travel, Food and Drink, Animals, People, etc. but I will want an image showing for each gallery linking directly to the relevant page.

I am trying to put a text in the description of each icon in icon menu ( I am on theme options –> Homepage layout) but it looks like that the icon adjusts the height depending on the length of the text entered in the description.

How can I give fixed height to each icon?

I would like to have all the icons to have the same dimensions.

I’m setting up a photographic website with numerous galleries. I want to be able to use this portfolio page to link to my gallery pages, narrowing down to groups of galleries, such as Travel, Food and Drink, etc. I’ve played around with the tutorial, and have the gist of how things work, but can’t figure how to make my Portfolio page link to my actual gallery, i.e.have the portfolio show all galleries, narrow down from the tab to Travel galleries, click on image of Pyramid and be taken to Egypt gallery, etc. rather than just being taken to the featured image?

In summary, I need to be able to click on the featured image in the portfolio, and be taken to the gallery that the image represents. I’m sure it can be done and would be grateful to be pointed in the right direction.

Hello,
it is not neccesarry for me to install any third party plugins for a simple search.
When I use the themes’ build in search the URL goes like this:
http://mydomain.com/?s=searchstring
Then only the default search result page shows up which is missing the “add to card” button and the prices.
BUT when you use the follwing search url
http://mydomain.com/?s=searchstring&post_type=product
It’s pretty good. You see “Add to cart” and the prices. I don’t need anything else.
How can I do this?

I’ve been trying to work out why in all of my category pages there is a wide margin to the right. The photos therefore do not go all the way across the width of the screen and you will see an unused space along the right margin.

Hello. I import the Demo Content in my webside and now i got this error in the home page:

Also, I have the PDF file linked in my blog post, but that link is shown as just plain text on the home page (loses its formatting).

My goal is to keep it looking like it currently looks on my site, but to be able to click the thumbnail image and have it point to the PDF file, rather than linking to the blog post. I’ve played around with the widgets and page builder, but haven’t found something that will accomplish this. Can anyone offer any advice? Thank you!

Mainly look at your plugins make sure you don’t have a menu plugin. One that could actually effect your menu or effect the category pages.

Deactivating a plugin shouldn’t remove any of the settings. For example any time a plugin is updated it is deactivated.

What plugins should I deactivate. It has one that stream live video but it doesn’t show on the category page. If I deactivate it, will it erase all the settings or Will I be able to activate it with the original settings?
