Hi Oliver,
I am trying to apply this, but as I do not know the language of developers I got lost.
So can you please answer these quesions for me:
1- For a one page website, with the plug in, I create 1 page with Pagebuilder with all content into sections or I create all the website pages?
2- How can I find the ID of the section? I tried to use the Inspect tool in Chrome, but got lost. is it in the CSS part or the HMTL? in which part?I am sorry this should not be your issue, but using a plugin as this will make the website more efficient that using the anchoring HTML code.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards

Thanks Ben,
Can I just ask if the anchor is on a text widget, what then should I put in the URL window of the menu item? This also need to navigate to from every page so I guess I’d need the whole URL from http onwards.
Also, I used the Visual Editor widget in the footer to add the Javascript, is this correct?
Apologies for my ranting earlier on I thought that my question was being ignored and fell into the support policy black hole, also the frustration of struggling with reading forum after forum on page scroll options and Pagebuilder, why on earth they haven’t written this elegant solution on their site I have no idea, it’s probably there somewhere.
Good to know you are watching and supporting, you’re a star.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben
I am attempting to use the plugin Restocking Alerts by Bolder Elements.
The plugin aims to invite customers, when a product or the variant of a product is out of stock, to enter their email address and automatically receive a notification when the item is back in stock.
It is compatible with the latest version of WordPress and Woocommerce, which I am using.
The problem I have is that when you first land on a product page when no default variation is set, the plugin leaps to the conclusion that the product is out of stock. Upon choosing a variation, it correctly updates to remove the out of stock email form, but by then it is probably too late, since the customer will have left, disappointed.
This is incorrect behaviour – the form should not be shown until an out-of-stock variation is selected.
The plugin works correctly on the author’s demo site, and I tested it with the new Storefront theme from Woo, and it worked correctly.
Therefore there is a problem with Virtue and the plugin and it looks like Virtue must have modified some of the templates files containing the hooks the plugin uses.
Do you have any ideas how I can get around this problem? I’d love to be able to use the plugin.
Many thanks
Andrew

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: contact form
In forum: Virtue ThemeI am attempting to use the revolution slider for my homepage but I’m having an issue with it where the slider takes up the entire page instead of staying within the width of the rest of the homepage. For example, say my blog posts and recent activity entries are centered and taking up about 80% of the screen width, revolution takes up 100% and does not fall inline with the width of the rest of the page elements. I do have it set for “Auto Responsive” because I need it to scale to mobile devices. The other sliders do not experience the same issue. Any thoughts??
In forum: Virtue ThemeNovember 24, 2014 at 8:52 pm #23398Hello. My goal is to add a picture gallery to a page, in the content and in the featured area.
I have found in this forum that there is a Virtue Gallery, but I cannot find it anywhere. If there is no plugin, can you recommend a simple one?
I want to add a thumbnail gallery to a page. Where can I create the gallery?
Also, after the gallery is created, can I show it in the featured area in a page? I tried to add a kadence slider as featured option, but it shows a cropped full image, not thumbnails. I also tried a revolution slider, but again it only shows full size pictures, not thumbnails. Can you tell me if I can achieve it using these 2 sliders?
Thanks

November 24, 2014 at 5:16 pm #23375Hey Oliver,
I’m sorry for the delay in answering. Also sorry that you have been frustrated. To be clear I would have answered your question. Just hadn’t gotten to it.There are lots of ways to add anchor links to a page build section or row. One example would just be to add
<a name="mycustomanchor"></a>in a text widget on pagebuilder. As for adding the scroll – to effect you can add a little javascript to a footer widget in your site and it will make the menu links scroll to the anchor tags.
<script type="text/javascript">jQuery(document).ready(function ($) {$('#nav-main').localScroll({offset: 0});});</script>All that said using plugins works just fine to and I’m glad you’ve found a solution.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Problem with footer and WPML
Hi Hanna. I do understand that WPM does not do the translation. I am doing the translation and placing it on the string translation tool box of WPML, but as soon as I do it, all the content in all french pages is replaced by that translation. What you see on the website is a test so you guys can see what I mean.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Problem with footer and WPML
Hello Virtue Team! I have a problem with the WPML plugin translating the footer from English to French. As a general idea, I am using the page builder to create the website. Now, when I use the string translation tool of the WPML plugin and translate the footer string, what happens is that it replaces (IN THE FRENCH SIDE) all panels CONTENT that I have on my french pages. You can actually see it at the website, I am not changing it, so you can see what I mean (*Login to see link Could you please let me know if i am doing something wrong or what should i do to avoid this from happening? Many thanks in advanced for your help.
GusIn forum: Virtue ThemeMy Settings/Reader/Front Page Display is currently set to ‘Your Latest Posts’ but I would like to change it to ‘Static Page’ so that I can set up a Home Page in the ‘Pages’ section (currently I do not have a ‘Home’ page here). I want to use Page Maker to make some changes to the home page, not radically but everything below the menus would be worked on. (see anotherworldago.com)
I would like to keep my website as is while I do all of this redesign, which will mean a lot of trial and error while I build… can I treat this new ‘Home’ page as Private and therefore work on it behind the scenes. Then when I’m ready, go into Settings/Reader and change that Front page display to ‘Static Page’ and poof! my newly designed page is good to go??

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Padding on Portfolio Page and Portfolio Item Page
Try this to increase the space:
.contentclass { padding-bottom: 50px; }So I’m guessing the 4 is there because you have/had other pages in your site with the same name. You need to delete these other pages. Putting them in the trash wont work, you would need to permanently delete them. Then in your portfolio edit page you can edit the permalink under the title.Hope this makes sense.

Hi Hannah,
The site is at: http://www.ldanalyticsllc.com, and the portfolio page in question is at: http://www.ldanalyticsllc.com/work-4/
I’m trying to make more room between the grid and the footer on this page.
Also, if you have any tips on how to get rid of “4” in the “work-4”, let me know! I’ve been having trouble with this.
Thanks so much!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: How to control header and inter widget space
November 24, 2014 at 10:37 am #23351Hello Ben, thanks for the reply.
The code you sent reduces the space, but it messes some parts. If I dont have a title for the widget, the search maximizer glass gets loosen. See it in my page http://acolombiantraveler.com. Should I also move that maximiser glass icon?
In forum: Virtue ThemeI am using the Virtue Premium theme and I would like to know if it is possible to have a single page that acts like a bulletin board where I can provide some headings and then people visiting the site can add/edit that particular page themselves without having access to edit anything else on the site – just that page.
My objective is to list art galleries and shops, and then let people add themselves under the ones that show their work. It would be ideal if I could assign them an id of sorts that would let them do this rather than giving access to the public at large. Thanks
