Trying to add a hero image to the homepage above the achieve post

Please anyone can tell me how to do it?

I only want to use kadence them and kadence blocks not a page builder.

I have tried creating a page called home and used a predefined block but can’t figure out how to get the post archive showing below it

Hi Ben,

Fount what breaks the post. It’s emojis.
Like you said, I have made a post with page builder and copied from the previous post and went straight to text editor again.
And did the same thing but this time excluded emoji and it did work!

I get emojis from http://getemoji.com/,
Could you help me to use emojis on my site please?

Dynamic accordion titles are what I need as well.

I am creating a FAQ page using Toolset Types and Blocks with a Kadence Blocks accordion.

I really do need the accordion title to be a dynamic block because this is where I would place the question.

If the page visitor likes the question then they click the question which reveals the answer anderneath – the answer I can do as a dynamic block already.

At the moment the question is static content I entered in but the answer is from a custom field.

Not much use to me at all unfortunately if the question and answer cannot both be dynamic.

If they are both dynamic then I can dynamically display Q&A on other pages based upon a third field I have in the custom post type which allows the FAQs to be displayed by product or service type.

I would envisage using this on multiple websites because it is so useful.

If there is no chance of this changing please let me know so I can source another solution.

On /wp-admin/themes.php?page=kadence the Customize link for Hooked Elements leads to /wp-admin/customize.php?autofocus%5Bundefined%5D=undefined which does not seem correct. It should be linking to /edit.php?post_type=kadence_element.

Thanks for the quick reply Ben! What you’ve said makes complete sense regarding containers. I would, however, argue that a container on the ‘Main Row & Bottom Row’ would be more important than a container on the ‘Top Row & Main Row’. There are many e-commerce sites that wold utilize the header builder much like the attached screenshot.

Can you tell me a bit more about the custom sticky items? Sounds like a separate section that you can build with menus/widgets that will appear at the top after the header scrolls off-page. Is that correct?

Thanks Chris,

That has fixed the display of “Other Demonstrations” on a demonstration page.

But if we look at a training page, the display of “Other training courses available” still has that gap at the bottom of each panel. Is there a way using CSS to set the height automatically to that of the longest title – “Writing a brief for developing/improving a website – how to help your website designers”?

Hey,
In our Kadence Theme you can install the beta pro extension (you should see this in your downloads page).

It has header addons and you can enable this in your appearance > kadence. Then go to the header area of the customizer and add the account item to your header, it’s got options for login and then once logged in options for member items.

Hey,

cls score has to do with unprovoked movement, the menu changing is different because you click on it to make it open.

I would, however, suggest optimizing the page load so your site loads faster, loading faster would prevent any unprovoked movement while the site is loading.

In your theme options > mobile header, you can enable the simple mobile header and set that to be sticky.

By the way with that header the menu doesn’t push content down.

Hey,
You would have to push in breadcrumbs shortcode in after the slider shortcode because the breadcrumbs are designed to output in the page header but with that switched to a slider it doesn’t.

Hi Chris,

I’d only seen one instance in each the news section and I had looked at both the visual and text viewers just to make sure there wasn’t more than once instance entered. I could go in, remove the text editor from the News section and adding a new instance back in with basically a new instance of that particular shortcode to see if that would make a difference.

It looks like you’re still editing that page, so I can try to go in once you’re done.

Hey,
You can’t use two optimization plugins. You were using both :
PageSpeed Ninja and Webcraftic Clearfy and those conflict with each other.

You must just use one.

I deactivated PageSpeed Ninja so you can see things working.

Hello,

For targeting the far left “See More” link I used the following CSS:

.kt-layout-id_fd1a53-be .kt-inside-inner-col !important{
    margin: 0 auto;
}

You have a “View More” button on the page. Is this the button you’re currently trying to target or is it the “See More” icon you were working on centering that you needed to target for hover changes?

This is an issue I am working on. The customizer doesn’t load widget area settings unless that widget area is on the page so when you load the customizer before adding the header widget area or the toggle one there is no widget area settings to view. Right now just saving and reloading the customizer fixes but I’m working on a way to trick the customizer into loading those widget area settings even if it’s not being used on the page so that there is no confusion.

I want to add an Instagram link in the header on every page (including home) with hover text of “Follow me on Instagram”. I can put this in the widgets area, but the title is always displayed and it’s in a huge font – can’t figure out where to adjust the size or how to make it just appear on hover.

Also – in an ideal world, I’d like this to appear just below the logo and site title on the right. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I don’t know if the specifically related to kadence or just a general WordPress issue.

I have Content Links Style defined as Standard, however all the links are underline. See the page *Login to see link How do I remove the underline from the text links?
