In reply to: Checkout reCAPTCA disabled but still applying
August 11, 2020 at 10:34 pm #254654Hey,
Are you enabling for reCAPTCHA for “registration” in your reCAPTCHA settings? and then also enabling registration on your checkout page for example “Allow customers to create an account during checkout”? If so you need to enable reCAPTCHA on your checkout page or turn it off for registration, that would be two settings conflicting with each other.Perhaps I’ll add in some way to force in a ReCaptcha if the user checks the box for account creation but currently you need to decide if you want forms to be protected or not.
I hope that clarifies!

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Kadence slider pro slides issue
August 11, 2020 at 10:06 pm #254651Hey John,
You can certainly use Kadence slider pro, in the current development I don’t have plans to add many more features to it but I will keep it updated for WordPress. The ability to “unpublish” a slider or in different terms hide it could be pretty simple to add. Can you tell me more how you are using this. Does that mean you have say 3 slider shortcodes in a page and two of them just output nothing?
WordPress is changing so much that as we process with it much of the focus is on Gutenberg blocks so we do have an advanced slider block that can do a lot of things right in the editor. It’s not so much a replacement for KAdence Slider as an alternative that many people could use since most sliders are fairly simple in how they are created.

In forum: Kadence BlocksIn reply to: Random order for the Post Grid/Carousel block?
August 11, 2020 at 10:00 pm #254650Hey,
I’ll put this in a feature request.FYI I generally discourage using random in most situations because of the following reasons.
1. You usually want to show your users the best posts and not leave it to chance what they see.
2. People generally like to click back to a page and can be thrown off when they are looking for a specific post they previously saw there that is now not there.
3. Random makes your content appear like an advertisement because it changes often and that will discourage people from clicking.
4 Ramdon is bad for performance, some hosts even prevent it.Of course, there are times when it makes sense to use. I should write a blog post about all this… 🙂
all the best,
Ben
In forum: Kadence BlocksIn reply to: Feature request – Tabs block – accordion for mobile
August 11, 2020 at 9:52 pm #254649Hey,
So the reason I don’t have that as a built-in option or as the default is because it’s generally a much worst user experience on mobile for accordions to close when you open one on mobile. This is because of how mobile browsers handle scroll and when you change the browser height many browsers don’t handle the change well. It means that you can click to open an accordion and it will seem as though you scrolled down or up the page and cause what you see to not be the contains of the accordion. This especially true with accordions when the content of each varies a lot which is more often the case on mobile because of screen size.So for the sake of usability, I would actually suggest to you that you not do this, however, I do appreciate the request and will add it to my list.

August 11, 2020 at 9:47 pm #254648Hey,
This account doesn’t show any orders, perhaps you have another account you purchased with. Or you can send me your license number. You would have to have the API key and API email setup in the appearance > getting started page.Ben

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Side bar is not rendering properly
This css will override the application you’re using and limit its width:
@media (min-width: 992px) { .page-id-1297 div#main { width: 66%; float: left; } }You can paste that into your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings.
Hope it helps!Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeVery strange one. Virtue Premium theme *Login to see link h/ that has been working beautifully for several years when suddenly certain categories including but not limited to ‘VR Tech’ and ‘Product Reviews’ return blank pages or the error below:
“Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0”
Other categories such as ‘Food Tech’ work fine.
I have a row of category buttons at the top of the Home page and a drop down in the side bar and both return the same issues.
Any help appreciated as I am baffled.
Thanks,

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Woo Commerce Widgets not performing in Ascend
Hello,
Looking further, that just looks to be for the template layout of the single product pages that can be applied to select or all products. Those widgets get populated by the WooCommerce shop when you enter the product details and select the template from the drop-down template selector when creating products in Woo itself.
Let me know if this answers your questions.
Thanks!
In forum: Kadence ThemeTopic: Including a Porfolio
August 11, 2020 at 8:33 am #254610I’m building a site for a freelance writer who wants a portfolio page included to showcase some of their work.
After looking in the KB, I installed the Kadence Toolkit, to give me a portfolio feature. However, I don’t seem to have any portfolio page options, or any way of displaying portfolio posts on page. I’m guessing this is probably a limitation of using the free version of Kadence?
A couple of questions arise.
1. Will the pro version of Kadence include portfolio capability?
2. As there is no release date yet for the pro version I may have to use a third party portfolio plugin. The only one I have found that may be suitable for displaying articles is Visual Portfolio *Login to see link Although it appears to be designed more for displaying pics, it looks like it should work for articles as well. I’m just wondering if anyone has any other recommendations that I could look at?
I hope someone can advise. 🙂

In forum: Membership ForumsTopic: Elementor Home Page
Hi we are redoing our website and have now redone the homepage using elementor, calling it “new homepage”
our original page was done using site origin
The issue is we are wanting to take our “new homepage” and override, or delete the oringal homepage.
However,
1) We cannot seem to connect this new homepage at all
2) We cannot even delete the original homepage
3) The original homepage has now basically gone haywire, so doesn’t even look like it used to 🙁Any help urgently (will even pay) would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
LaraIn forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Category Filter link?
Hi Destin,
Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in function for this. You can, of course, link to a specific category page. But there isn’t a way to enable the category filter when doing so. A workaround would be to add a sidebar to your product category page and enable a product category widget. Or you could use a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-ajax-filters/
Hope that helps!Best,
