June 22, 2020 at 5:07 pm #251806I want to clarify that I have a file in my child theme,
archive-event.php, which is generating the events archive page. Since it is not a page that is accessible from the dashboard, I can’t assign a background image in the way you described. Can I add anything to my archive template file or functions file that can trigger overriding the default page background? Is there another way to get at it? I only want to change it for the Event CPT Archive page.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Invalid API License Key

okay, so now I’m using the advanced buttons with 4 buttons on one of my pages and I’d like to use similar buttons on other page, I tried making it a reusable block but then I can’t seem to edit it. is there a way to get the styling from buttons or some other block from one page to use it on another page. I have a similar situation with galleries, instead of redoing all the styling is there any way to copy it to another page?

June 22, 2020 at 2:14 pm #251796Hi Hannah, Thanks for the quick reply. I have a default background set, but I’m not sure how to override it for a custom post type archive page. I am able to override for each of the single pages for the custom post type, but I don’t have an actual page for the archive page… Is it simply calling a global variable and declaring something in the php or is it a filter/hook? Something else?

Thanks Ben,
So I’ll set up a gallery and save it as a re-usable block since this display needs to appear on a number of pages.
I note that the gallery tr-starts at the first image each time the page is loaded. Is there a way for the gallery to resume where it left off each time a user goes to a different page then comes back to a page with the gallery?
Very many thanks,
Phil.In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Blog – post layout

That is done using the blog page template, can you try setting the page template and setting the posts to show as a list. Can you send a link to what you have so I can see?Ben

In forum: Ascend ThemeHey Andy,
I will do my best to point you in the right direction:) To create a page with the same effect as the About page you linked to, you would actually want to turn the transparent header off. So in your edit page under Page Title and Subtitle you want to set “Hide Page Title Area” to “Show” and “Transparent Header?” to “False”. If you want to send login info I would be happy to set this up for you. Just set as a private reply.Best,
HannahIn forum: Kadence ThemeHi Dujon,
The demo that you inserted was built using Page Builder by Siteorigin. While Elementor is fully compatible with Virtue, we, unfortunately, do not have demo content for Virtue built out using Elementor. If you want to use Elementor over page builder by siteorigin you would need to re-create the pages. Let us know if we can help you with that!
In the future you can ask questions here: https://www.kadencewp.com/support-forums/forum/virtue-theme/ This forum is for our Kadence theme.Best,

Hi Dujon,
It looks like right now you have Virtue Premium theme running. Are you hoping to switch to Kadence theme? What happens when you try to use the Kadence Importer plugin? Looks like you do have demo content inserted? To get the homepage set up as the demo style 2 navigate to Theme Options > Home Layout and you can enable Portfolio Full in the Homepage Layout Manager. Then you can scroll down to Home Portfolio Full Settings and customize as desired.
Let me know how I can help further!Best,

In forum: Kadence ThemeTopic: Problems with tax labels
Hi there, I’ve searched for this for hours with no luck, I know this is not Virtue and is related to woocommerce functionality, but I’m really stuck and have only posted because of that.
We sell to our home country of New Zealand with 15% tax (called GST):
– Price display suffix is set to INCL GST
– Tax Setting is Display prices including Tax
– Default customer location is set to Shop Base Address
– Tax is setup as STANDARD, one entry NZ, 15.0000 Tax Name GST | one entry as *, 0.0000, name ZERO TAX
– The product in question has STANDARD TAX selected
– I have tried removing that 2nd line and setting it up in the zero tax class, and also having it in both.
– A plugin called Woo Discount Rules manages a price break based on quantityArriving at the store, GST is calculated and shown correctly right through to the end of checkout
However if a visitors enters an address for outside NZ (we sell to the world), then the GST price amount disappears correctly.
However, if the visitor now does not complete the sale on the checkout page and returns to the cart OR the product, it correctly displays the zero tax price but has the price suffix notation on both pages of “INCL GST”.
Despite spending hours on this, I can find no way to get the suffix AND the (includes xx.xx GST) notations to recognise the tax state of the order. The majority of our customers are NZ, and prices have to be shown GST included. For the non-NZ buyer everything works except swapping the labels, the tax rate name just doesn’t do it.
Have you come across this problem, and would you have any ideas on how to fix it?
Thank you, John
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi There,
I have had ongoing issues with portfolio pages showing as 404 errors.
My developer has suggested I get in touch as he had to ammend a parent theme file to fix: themes/virtue_premium/lib/post-types.php
he added:
39 //'rewrite' => false,
40 'rewrite' => array( 'slug' => 'portfolio' ),We are using a child theme and never edit the parent theme, so hoping you can advise on this.
The site has been up for many years and we have only just started having this issue. It’s working with the fix for now.
Thanks for your help.
