In forum: Kadence ThemeHello Milosz,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Currently, the Post Grid block does not have the option to add this kind of sorting on the front end. The only filter you can enable is for the taxonomy.
Unfortunately, I do not see any plugin that quite works like this – all sorting is done on the backend. You can add a feature request regarding this here – https://www.kadencewp.com/roadmap-kadence-theme/feature-requests/. However, please note that feature requests do not have an ETA of when they’ll be available.

I’m trying to find a way to let users to change the order how the posts are displayed in Posts Grid. I can obviously set it in block’s setting (and have it at NEWEST to OLDEST, but would like new users to be allowed to change that order so they can see them OLDEST to NEWEST. Is anything like that possible with Kadence Blocks at all? If not – can anyone recommend a plugin to handle this please?
Thank you

May 16, 2021 at 2:27 am #265842Hi there
New to your plugins but loving their functionality. I downloaded Pro today as I specifically wanted the Posts Grid so I can select individual posts to show – until now I’ve been doing this ‘by hand’. However, I can’t see a way to display posts in a traditional sense, with the title and excerpt under the post rather than in the overlayed portfolio style, as you can do in the regular Posts block (which can’t be used to select posts individually).
Is there a work around or a CSS solution I can use?
Many thanksIn forum: Kadence BlocksMay 14, 2021 at 6:41 am #265821Hey,
Our Post Carousel/Grid block or our Portfolio Carousel/Grid block have this option.Ben
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Randomie posts in Home Blog Settings
Hey Janek,
Thanks for reaching out! Is your homepage set as your latest post page? What do you have the “Blog pages show at most” set to in Settings > Reading?
To randomize your blog posts you can use a shortcode like this:[blog_posts type=”grid” orderby=”rand” columns=”3″ items=”21″]
Hope it helps!Best,
HannahIn forum: Kadence ThemeHey,
There isn’t a built-in way to set this up, but you can create custom category and subcategory pages using the post grid carousel block or a woocommerce block. Or you can use css to hide the sidebar from your category pages but show it on subcategory pages. Let me know how I can best help going forward!Best,
HannahIn forum: Kadence ThemeHello Joost,
Is there any way to change the number of posts showing on the archive pages?
You’ll have to set that up in Dashboard > Settings > Reading > Blog pages show at most option.Regarding the pagination in the blog page – please note that the pagination buttons will follow the Initial background and text colors set in Customizer > General > Buttons for the active page button. The border color of the other page buttons on hover will also follow the Initial background color here.
Here’s a screen recording for your reference – https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQuwLzXX.
The pagination of the Post Grid/Carousel uses the colors from the global palette which is why they differ.
There is no built-in option to style them, but you can add custom CSS code to adjust their styles.
Hope this helps.

I’m trying to get my archive pages to look the same as my blog page (which uses Post Grid / Caroussel).
My blog page has 3 columns and shows my 15 latest posts.
May archive page is showing my 10 latest posts in any category, which looks a little awkward, as you’re getting this effect:
[post][post][post]
[post][post][post]
[post][post][post]
[post]1 2 3 >
So this gap shows in the bottom, even though there are more pages.
Is there any way to change the number of posts showing on the archive pages?
Also, the pagination between Post Grid / Archive Lay Out looks completely different from one another. Is there any way in which I can make them look the same? I’m not seeing any way to change the looks of the pagination for either the Post Grid or the Archive Lay Out.
Thanks in advance,
Joost

Hello,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Go to Customizer > General > Layout and you’ll see the Single Post Boxed Shadow and Archive Grid Boxed Shadow options. Please note that these shadows will only show if you’re using the Boxed Content Style.
On the other hand, if you want to show a box-shadow in your product pages, set the content style to Boxed and add this in Customizer > Additional CSS:
.single-product.content-style-boxed .product.entry { box-shadow: 0px 15px 25px -10px blue; }Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.
Best Regards,

Hi Jochen,
Sorry that this has been confusing for you! The Posts block is meant to be basic and simple. It is avaiable in the free version of Kadence Blocks. The Post Grid/Carousel block is a more feature-heavy block. It is only avaiable in Kadence blocks pro. The Portfolio Grid/Carousel block is similar, but has a portfolio design rather than post. I hope this clears it up a little! Let me know if you have further questions around this.Kindly,

April 23, 2021 at 6:50 am #265311Edit:
I don’t understand that 3 listings blocks:
Posts
Post Grid/Carousel
Portfolio Grid/CarouselThey seam to be 99% feature identical. Why not just combine them and stop confusing us?

Hi Jochen,
I don’t believe there’s a built-in function for this as of now. You can individually select which post to show, but there isn’t a way to exclude the current post. There is a feature request for this that you can vote on: https://www.kadencewp.com/roadmap-blocks/feature-requests/option-to-exclude-current-post-for-post-grid-portfolio-carousel-posts-blocks/All the best,

I found out, that the last BLOCKS Pro updates fixed the issues with padding and advanced galleries. BLAZING FEST! Big thank you :)!
Please forget “2. The advanced gallery have issues with alignwide/ alignfull classes”But additional options: “left, centered, right” would be nice.
And I don’t know why the second grid is not showing up (last post).
It would be nice if I could edit my forum posts, I can only reply…
Thank you,
TobiasIn forum: Membership ForumsTopic: Testimonials
I’ve just bought into Kadence and am transitioning my site over from a theme called Impreza.
So far so good, but there’s a feature I’m really missing. In my old theme I had the ability to create testimonial ‘posts’ – a bit like a normal post but with extra fields for star-ratings, URL etc. It meant that testimonials could be created centrally in the admin back-end and planted anywhere on the site using a grid and without having to manually enter them each time. It also enabled the creation of a dedicated testimonials page which could display all of them with minimal effort.
Is there any such facility in Kadence, or any plans to introduce it?
