I see, it’s made with elementor post grid, that won’t output in amp, you would have to add custom amp content for that page. But since it’s an archive it’s not really going to be supported in amp unless you create it manually so turning it off would be best.

    Hey,
For clarification, In your page settings for the portfolio grid template, you can choose “date” instead of menu order in the order by options and that will show the most recent first.

    2. It’s not an option within the theme to add an external link in the portfolio post archives. You could add in custom support for that by overriding templates and adding a meta box where you added the external link to each post meta settings but it would require custom coding and management of extra metaboxs and overriding theme templates.

    3. The latest updates to Kadence Blocks Pro makes the testimonial posts accessible in the post grid block.

I’m looking to have the blog grids only show Picture & Title.

The Theme Options seem to have a count of 20 words as the min. allowed.

    Hello,

I updated yesterday some plugins. Now my page is broken. Switching all plugins off does not fix it. Only when I switch to the Twenty Twenty theme it is fixed. So, what is going on with the theme?

    mrcardboard.eu

Edit/Things tried and did not fix it:
    – Deactivate all plugins
    – Switch to PHP 7.3
    – Upload a fresh 2.5.6 Theme file
    – Cleared the Custom CSS section

    Best regards,
    Hendrik

Hi, i am using the “Kadence Block Pro 1.3.5” plugin and “Kadence Blocks – Gutenberg Page Builder Toolkit 1.7.7”. And in the module Post Grid/Carousel i’ve tried to change Title Tag from H2 to H3 or H4. But nothing change in front-end.

    Please see these image below:

    Thank you!

You could display your portfolio posts via shortcode like this:
    [portfolio_posts orderby=date style="pgrid" columns=4 items=80 ratio="square" lightbox=true showtypes=true]
Just paste that into a text widget within your home widget area (appearance > widgets). And make sure your home widget area is enabled in Theme Options > Home Layout.

You can increase the number of portfolio posts to show on the homepage from Theme Options > Home Layout > Module Portfolio Grid. There isn’t a way to add pagination on the homepage though.

    Hi

When Custom 404 Page is enabled

If at the end of custom 404 page there is a blog_grid or blog_posts code, then the content of the page is shown twice, double content, the whole content including any existed text and the posts.

    Hey,
You can add your portfolio posts via shortcode like this:
    [portfolio_posts orderby=date style="pgrid" columns=4 items=4 ratio="square" lightbox=true showtypes=true type=photos]
You would just paste that into the content area of any page.
    Hope it helps!

    #241148

You can assign an order to your portfolios by adding this to the shortcode: order="ASC"

    1. You can show/hide images using css and page id’s. If you provide a link for specific pages and which image you would like on that page I would be happy to help with the css.

    2. Do you mean for portfolio posts? In Theme Options > Portfolio Options you can set the Portfolio Style to Normal Grid.

    3. Are you using the block editor and Kadence Blocks? If so, you can do this using the testimonial block. Or you can use a shortcode like this: [testimonial_posts orderby="date" items="1" columns="1" group="photos"] Just create a testimonial group then assign “Joe Bloggs” testimonial to that specific group.

    Hope that’s helpful!

    Also,

    1. For the portfolio i have two types Website Design and Logo Design. Is it possible to have a different image for each type? For example if I create a page in my portfolio for a client I have done both website and logo work for when I view the logo design page I would rather see just the logo than the website image showing? But would still like them both to go to the same page?

    2. Can i have a link that says view website if people hover over the thumbnail rather than the lightbox?

    3. Can I show a single testimonial on a portfolio page. For example If people are viewing Joe Bloggs portfolio page can I show only Joe Bloggs’ testimonial? (It would be handy if the Post / Grid item in the Kadence Blocks Pro had the testimonials in it as well).

    Thank you

Yes but in a more “portfolio” style. So similar to how you can create a post grid with any post type, there will be a “portfolio” grid that will allow any post type.

    #240590

Ok. Really looking forward to the new block!

What I described is still a grid of posts, or Post Grid, isn’t it?

    #240572

I would like to output a grid of posts by only showing the featured images

I’m making a new block for this type of thing, it isn’t in the scope of the post grid block.

    #240550

    Hi!

Is it possible to make the “Cover Image – Show on Hover” setting known from the Advanced Gallery Block available for the Post Grid Block (Pro)?
I would like to output a grid of posts by only showing the featured images. On hover I’d like the post title to fade in centered on a semitransparent background overlay. The whole overlay should be clickable and take the user to the desired single post display.

Since this feature isn’t yet available in the Post Grid Block I managed to create the desired look via CSS.
The only problem is, that only the title is clickable, not the whole overlay. The overlay is covering the featured image.
So I added some jQuery to find the link and add it to the overlay div.
It’s ok as a temporary workaround, but I’d love to see these settings being added to the Post Grid Block (Pro)

    Hi,
Can I remove the border of featured image of post. (home page post grid)

    but did not helped.

    Hi,
I’m displaying a number of portfolio posts in a post grid block.

The posts each contain simply a featured image then a couple of phone numbers and an e-mail address.
Due to the way the excerpt shows, the contents of each post are all run together in the grid display, making the phone numbers illegible and the display unusable.

Is there away to retain the formatting used in the original post so that when the posts are shown in a grid, you can still see the phone numbers and the email address is clickable?
    Many thanks,
    Phil.

    #240444

    Hi Team,

I am selecting which portfolio posts to display on each tab of a tabbed display based upon the portfolio tag for the post.
My post grid block is set to filter by portfolio tag.
I have setup 18 portfolio tags and I would expect them to appear in the drop down on the post grid block configuration panel for each tab.

BUT the only portfolio tags available for selection in the post grid block configuration panel are those that already have posts allocated to them. Even if I type in the name of a portfolio tag that already exists, it is ignored.

I think the list SHOULD include portfolio tags that have 0 posts allocated to them. Please can you help?
    Thanks,
    Phil.

    Hi there,
Is it possible to hide the excerpt in a blog grid for video post types?

The videos (youtube) appear in grid but some of these posts contain text in them as well and this is being used as an excerpt below the video in the grid. I want to remove the excerpt from video post types but leave it for standard post types and all others. I’m actually using shortcode [blog_posts type=”grid” orderby=”date” items=”4″ cat=”photos”] but don’t see any options to hide excerpt.

    Thank you 🙂

The blog options in ascend allow you to select “portrait” image summary which will place the image beside the post, see example here “finding best coffee” – http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-3/blog/

I’ll look into adding theme default image support for the post grid/carousel block, that is something I can hook in.
