Hello,
SHure! Here is a Acreenshot. If i hover there apperears a grey line in the bottom of the picture. It would be perfekt if the titel would be there? I did Hide the Title on the post-page – maybe thats why it does not appear over the picture? But the mai Problem ist, that i would like to have the title the same way as it is shown in the “Blog Photo Grid” and not above the Picture. Is that possible?http://www.directupload.net/file/d/5077/wrwyjhpz_jpg.htm
Thank you so much:)! Greetings!
RandiIn forum: Pinnacle ThemeHallo,
i wanted to have posts in the style of the “BLog PhotoGrid” from one category on the Home Page. I’ve already solved it so far, that (with the help of a shortcoe) the pictures of the posts appear. But i can’t see the posts title. How can i add the Post Title in the Pictures (to have it look like the blog photogrid?)?
I would be sooo thankful if someone could help me because i’m quite new with wordpress;)!
Thank you so far and sunny greetings:)!

Hi Hannah,
Thanks a lot, applied and working.
1) Can you let me know how to make only bottom padding a little more for the portfolio featured images on the grid page?
2) I also added the Page Builder to my posts editing view and put the display to none so that the Page Builder editor can be applied but the content of the page builder is appearing on the left side just like my portfolio content before. How to correct that? Thanks
Stephanie
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi, I checked a lot of forum topics but can’t see if the following customization are possible on my website where I use Virtue:
> On the portfolio grid page, make the title of each post to display center & below the featured image rather than appear when hover over
> Increase the space/padding around the featured images on the Portfolio grid page
> Is there a possibility to add a frame 1pt around a some featured image?
Thanks
StephanieIn forum: Reply To:April 30, 2018 at 11:30 am #188920The height of your items depends on their content. In some you can see you have a description in others you don’t. Your images all vary greatly. If you want them all the same height you can force a minimum height on everything but that would just create a lot of empty space. Perhaps thats what you are wanting? Try adding this css in your theme options advanced settings:
body.search-results #kad-blog-grid .blog_item { min-height: 640px; }If you prefer that your search only search products and not pages or posts then you can use the woocommerce search widget. That will then output the search results as products and they would appear like they do in your shop page.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Image or slider at top of category pages
Hi Christine,
There isn’t a built-in function for this in Virtue, but you can use the feature page template, then use a shortcode to display your posts within a specific category. Like this:[blog_grid orderby=date items=4 columns=3 cat=photos]
You would just paste that into the content area of your page. Would that work for you?Hannah
In forum: Membership ForumsTopic: Excerpt in shortcode
Hello,
I’ve used this shortcode for Portfolio Grid on my landing page:
[portfolio_posts excerpt=true columns="4" items="4"] but is there a code for having the Excerpt text bellow the image, like on a “normal” portfolio grid page.Or is there another solution for handling this?

Pamela
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Image Menu Mobile Responsiveness Issue
April 16, 2018 at 1:29 pm #187542Hey,
I’m just trying to make sure I understand. You have three columns added that responsively switch to one for small screens. And on a mobile phone but only when the phone is horizontally arranged you want two columns? And the third to be below that but just taking up half the screen? Is that correct?
Your plugin “Post and Page Builder by BoldGrid – Visual Drag and Drop Editor” is adding some very strange css which is causing some issues for different screen sizes. It won’t work well with the pagebuilder we recommend so I strongly suggest using one or the other not both.

April 11, 2018 at 10:43 am #186948Hey,
In regards to your home page, The theme options > home page layout > module portfolio grid has a ratio setting for the images. square, portrait ect.Your images are smaller than the square crop size of 600×600. I’m looking and it seems your images at all 710×530 or 514×686.
Since the theme can’t crop those images to the same size because they are not at least 600×600 the output is whatever the original size is. But because its set on a ratio where the images would normally all be the same size the theme is making rows instead of a masonry layout.
So the best option would be to set the home page portfolio grid to masonry and not a specific ratio. But that is a missing setting (I just looked) so you can’t at the moment. My apologies. I will update this and add a “inherit from image” ratio setting in your theme options > home page layout > module portfolio grid.
In the meantime you can use the portfolio shortcode in your home page content to output this grid using masonry by adding this shortcode:
[portfolio_posts ratio="softcrop" items="20" columns="4" filter="true"]Or I should have the update for this out later today with the added ratio setting of “inherit from image” in the theme options > home page layout > module portfolio grid.
Aside from that, I would suggest using larger images for better retina support. Right now I’m looking at a retina screen and hte images appear pixelated because of there size. We suggest 1600×1600 at the least for image sizes, read more here:

March 29, 2018 at 11:16 am #185703Hey,
2. If your adding a slider through the page content and not through the theme options > home slider then you can’t switch out that slider with a mobile slider. The theme options > home slider only switches with the mobile slider. If you just enabled the mobile then it would show on mobile and not remove anything else because it’s only designed to switch with the theme options home slider.
Does that make sense?
If you would like to hide a row on mobile in pagebuilder then click on the edit row and there in the top right corner click on “attributes” and add this class to the class box.
hidden-xsGallery post. Please link directly to this so I can see what you mean. Please make sure that your posts have a “featured image” added.
Can you sort your blogs by category
You can use a normal page and add a shortcode for each category. That would show your posts in different grids based on category on the same page.
Click on the shortcodes button and choose the blog shortcode.
Just add one shortcode for each category.
side bar that just lists all the categoriesYou can add the categories widget into your sidebar, then when a category is clicked the user would go to that category page where only that category shows.
Does that help?
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Kadence Pro slider Mobile font size
March 29, 2018 at 10:08 am #185677Hey,
So the font size is going to be directly related to the grid. So if your grid is 1200px wide on a screen size that is 300px the fonts will be 1/4 of there original size.So one option is to make your grid the width of your largest text line. That way on mobile it will fill the areas width.
If you’re making a separate slider for mobile I’m not seeing it on your site. But you would want the grid size to be something like 400 wide and 700 tall.
Can you post a temp login so I can see your settings? use the checkbox for Set as private reply.

In forum: Reply To:Ahh, that makes sense. I set the slider grid to 650 to match the image – it looks fine on desktop and in laptop view port settings in the chrome inspector, but it’s still off center when viewing on an actual laptop in chrome. We cleared the browser cache.
In forum: Reply To:Browser screenshot was in Chrome.
Not sure how changing the grid width of the slider to 600px will help. See screenshot at the link below.
Since the slider doesn’t offer an option to add a colored shape to it, my options are either place a dark color overlay over the entire image or upload a separate darker image to place behind the text.
Regardless if they are independent of each other, I should be able to align both elements to center in a responsive layout.
In forum: Ascend ThemeHi,
I’d like to force the height of featured images in the “latest posts” grid. That way the titles would line up. Currently portrait and landscape images cause the alignment to be a mess. Do I remember correctly that in Virtue I had the option of selecting whether to contain the image (scale) in the given space, crop it (fit width to given space) or fit to width (with full height), I can’t find such settings now. Should they be there?
regards,
Ville

March 20, 2018 at 10:20 am #184139I can’t really know the SEO implications, usually, search engines ignore display none but you would have to talk with an SEO expert for advice.
So instead of “latest posts” you could add the page content or the home widget area.
You would add in the posts like this:
<div class="visible-xs"> [blog_posts type="grid" orderby="date" items="8"] </div> <div class="visible-sm visible-md visible-lg"> [blog_posts type="below_title" orderby="date" items="8"] </div> Add button to posts page hereBen
