    Hey,
    In your settings > reading. Make sure you have not set a page to be the “post” page. Leave that on select. Then make sure your blog page is using the “blog grid” page template.

    Hi Hannah,
    thank you so much , i entered the short code and it works but there is a little problem , hear is the link http://www.fayesmithmakeup.com/test-subscribe/, as you can see it shows the blog posts ( i have mentioned the category as blog i mean cay=blog cause i wanted to only show the blog categories) in the bottom of the page the page numbers are not showing, as an example http://www.fayesmithmakeup.com/blog-full/ was the previous blog-post i use, it shoes the page numbers in the bottom like 1,2,3…195 like wise but the blog page i created dosent show like that(link with http://www.fayesmithmakeup.com/test-subscribe/) the short code i m using [blog_grid cat=blog orderby=date items=4 columns=4], so in order to see the blog page numbers what should i do? thank you in-advance for your support.

    Hey Panduka,
    If you want to add content to the bottom of a blog page you will have to use the default page template and add your blog posts via shortcode like this: [blog_grid orderby=date items=4 columns=4] You would just paste that into the visual editor and add your content underneath.

    Sorry, just had a stupid moment. The shortcode above will display a grid of your staff posts, but we’re talking testimonials not staff so ignore that. Although if you wanted to add your testimonials as staff posts that would work! Otherwise I’m not sure of a way to do this without using page builder.

    I see your photo showing, it’s just really small. Are you wanting it this small? Or do you want it to spread across the top page like here- http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/templates/feature/
    If you want that, then I suggest using the feature page template and using a larger image. Then you can add your blog posts via shortcode like this: [blog_grid orderby=date items=4 columns=2]
    Hope that’s helpful!

    I’m not sure what you mean? Breadcrumbs are supposed to show post-types and then one page that is the grid page you can’t have them not show the “types” if you have assigned them.

    The permalinks can have a portfolio type in them by using this as the base: produkty/%category%

    Thank you for explanation Ben.
    I need to assign post type to my posts because I want to have this nice filter on portfolio grid page (sunplus.com.pl/produkty/). Do you have other idea?

    I think I cant make slug like this because in theme options > portfolio options, my Portfolio Permalink Base is ‘produkty’. ‘Markizy’ is a page, not a post and that is why I can`t do this :/ Am I wrong?

    Hey Kathy,
    What values do you mean? Are you referring to the portfolio grid page or the portfolio post? Can you post a link?
    Thanks!

    #95829

    Hey Lydia,
    The staff feature is set up the same as the portfolio. You have an actual staff page that uses its town page template, then you have staff posts that make up the grid on the staff page. Does that make sense? So to edit the grid page go to Pages from your admin and find the Staff page (assuming one is already created). Ensure this page is using the Staff Grid page template.

    Yes, i understand now. It’s working.

    Just one detail: it’s possible to have the Sidebar below posts?

    I have a BlogPhotoGrid template, with Fullwidth – Span Screen Size activated.
    If i show the Sidebar in the side, i will not have that configuration (make sense…).

    It’s possible to control the position of Sidebar?

    One possibility is to use widgets Footer Colunm 1, 2 and 3, but i’m using that for Footer.
    Home Widget Area works only in HomePage.

    Thank you,
    Carla

    To add to the above question: Whether using Staff Grid Template or Default Template with Staff shortcode, the same difficulty exist when Use Staff Excerpt or limit_content=”true” are selected: the text tags and attributes in the text body section of the indiviual staff post is not taken into account (does not consider the <a href …, the <br /… , etc).

    Hi, I would like to show one page with my employees picture in rows of 3 columns (along with some info like name, title, email and phone) displayed in a stack of 4 blocks high based on their job: “Our Consultants”, followed by “Administration”, “Marketing Team” and finally “Our Associates”.
    For example:
    Our consultants:
    Joe Carol Mary
    Carl Ben
    Administration:
    Arthur Joanne
    Martketing Team:
    etc.
    Right now, I was able to create a “staff” post per employee and assign one of the 4 categories to each.
    When I created a page based on the Staff Grid model, they all show with the proper information (name, title, etc), but they are not segragated by category.
    I can create a page with one category, several or all categories, but I cannot separate them into blocks on the same staff page, category according to their function.
    Is there a way to achieve this using Staff template or another way? I am using a child theme of Pinnacle.
    Thanks!

    Hi.

    I searched for this theme, but i’m not cleared, also because the topics have 2 years.

    I’m building my homepage with Page Builder, and i want to have the Header (with Logo and Menu), then i want a Portfolio Grid, then the latest Posts of blog, and then some widgets.

    My problem is how to insert the Portfolio Grid in the Homepage.
    I didn’t found a possibility to insert it with Page Builder, and even when i create the Page with Portfolio Grid model and insert the others sections with Page Builder, is not working.

    Can you give me please some suggestions?

    My page is

    Thank you.

    You can use the post grid widget if your wanting the images to represent posts. Or use the gallery if you just want images.

    Dear Support,

    Not too long ago there were a few shortcodes available on the documentation page but they are gone now. It looks like that we could get along with either the virtue shortcode tab or various widgets when using page builder. However, I am unable to find a suitable shortcode to display a specific portfolio type that looks like the one automatically generated via the Homepage Layout Manager (size, Portfolio Excerpt under Title, etc). I used the post grid widget but it is far from optimal (see a test page here

    I remember that there was a nice portfolio shortcode that could do the job perfectly, can you please share that me(us) again? Unless there is a better option I have missed.

    Thanks

    Hey Kenet,
    Try adding this to your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings:

    .product-category.grid_item a h5 {
        background: transparent;
    }
    .product-category.grid_item a h5 {
        color: #000;
    }
    .product-category.grid_item h5 mark {
        color: #000;
    }
    .product-category.grid_item:hover a:hover h5 {
        background-color: transparent;
    }
    .post-type-archive-product .grid_item img {
        min-height: 150px;
    }

    Hope that helps!

    1. did you talk to the plugin authors as I suggested?

    5. I appreciated your need, I think if you’re in a place of really needing customization that’s beyond your knowledge then probably time to hire a web developer. I already offered all the coding, what’s there you would add into the functions.php file of your child theme. you would add and edit that to your liking but if you don’t understand that it’s not a recipe for success. Anytime you change how something is supposed to work you need to understand it and know how to manage it from here forward. Woocommerce will change in the next year and in the year after that. It falls on you to manage and update that code to work with woocommerce so if you don’t know from the start it’s only going to lead to frustration later.

    NEXT SECTION
    2. What browser is this?
    3. Is your t-shirts category larger then one page? If so you would need to use an ajax filter and filter off attribute from the sidebar since you would need to re-query the category. See here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/yith-woocommerce-ajax-navigation/
    If you only have a page of t-shirts you can turn on the theme non-ajax filter in your theme options > shop settings.
    9. When do you think you will remove the coming soon plugin? That would help trouble shooting why you are having this issue and allow me to query from more then just my computer to see if I can recreate at all.

    10. Correct the footer wouldn’t animate in like your shopping products.

    11. I don’t understand you have a sticky header turned on? You want to leave the topbar off?

    12. See this post about site speed: https://www.kadencewp.com/need-for-speed/

    13. If you want something to automate table code for you then you would need to use a plugin. I recommend tablepress.

    14. The Portfolio grid is a page. You can edit the title and discussion rules for that page by going to pages > all pages then clicking to edit the portfolio page. If you don’t see discussion options make sure to click “screen options” in the top right and turn those on.

    Finally in your theme options > misc settings you have an option to turn off comments for all pages.

    Sorry Ben, I didn’t have the latest version. Now it is updated and your [blog_posts items=”8″ orderby=”date” type=”grid” columns=”one”] was 100 % correct. Thank you really much for this help, your theme is so great to work with.
    Would you please delete the Antoka webadresses from this discussion.

    Hey,
    They aren’t supposed to show arrows unless your output is a slider for the post then it would navigate through each image in the slider.

    The portfolio isn’t set up the same way as a gallery partly because of the options for sliders in the grid.

    But if you want to make this happen you can by adding this js into the footer scripts of your theme options > header footer scripts:

    <script type="text/javascript">jQuery(window).load(function () {
    jQuery('#portfoliowrapper').each(function(){
    			jQuery(this).find("a[data-rel^='lightbox']").magnificPopup({
    				type: 'image',
    				gallery: {
    					enabled:true
    					},
    					image: {
    						titleSrc: 'title'
    					}
    				});
    		});
    });
    </script>

    If you don’t see this option you can go to theme options > theme extensions and enable.

    Ben
