Hi Jasmine,
Limit content will determine whether the entire post is shown or just an excerpt. Setting it to “false” will show the entire post. Try setting it to “true” and see if that fixes your wrap issue. The height sets the height of the image.The portfolio grid has an option add an excerpt to the summary. You can choose this in the edit page under Portfolio Page Options.

I would like to display, according to an order that is not alphabetical, the picture of 19 employees in a 3×4 format with their name and job title below, and some text below the staff grid.ORDER : solved
In each of the individual staff post (or portfolio post), I did set an order number under Attributes (right side of edit page) from 1 to 19, it works perfect. You also mention the use of *Login to see link but I did not try it yet to further sort within each categories.TEXT BELOW STAFF GRID : partially solved
Using the DEFAULT TEMPLATE (instead of the staff grid one), insert the following shortcode (that I tweaked a bit combining a few support answers):

I do not know what ” limit_content=”false” height=400 do in this shortcode… What do they do? And should I remove them?The problem with this solution is that the name and the job title below each image do not wrap around when they are too long, contrary to using the staff grid template. The name and/or the job title with the next employee are overlapped, rendering the text unreadable. How can I make them wrap around?
USING PORTFOLIO ?
I saw another support post where the use of PORTFOLIO GRID is suggested. But is it possible to have text below the portfolio grid?I am thanking you in advance!

When using content output it would output the text just like you had in the individual post. So you would be able to set your sizes and spacing how you want and that would go through to the grid.

1. please post a link.2. you can’t unless you make the columns 4 not 5 or 6.
3. You would have to use a child theme, I would strongly advise not doing this. 50 items just adds a ton of loading time and people don’t usually click through 50 items in a carousel anything past 8 and it’s likely to not be seen, save the users the download speed and just link the grid if they want to see all.

Ben, the problem is that some images are vertically oriented and some horizontally. And because of that, a slider becomes a rectangle with 800×800 size for example, while 50 images have 800×400 resolution and few 400×800. I just want to keep this vertically oriented images, but the way they don’t affect the slider or grid.
I add media via button below the portfolio post, it’s below the portfolio options tab, at very bottom of the editing page. So the images are not actually in the post and switching between visual/text both show no gallery, it’s not in the post, but below under the options tab. It says “images for the slider”

My site is in French as a default language and english secondary – When I create the english version of my portfolio post, In the right hand side I have no category listed and cannot select a category.
What that means then is I cannot create a grid that filter out only one category.Any help on this?
I also experience a lot of Page not found issue – which I seem to fix randomly without really knowing why or how.

1. You can do this using shortcodes like this:
[blog_grid orderby=date items=4 columns=3 cat=photos]
Then if you want only one column you could use a shortcode like this:[kad_blog orderby=date items=4 fullpost=false cat=photos]2. You can set that up by creating a row in page builder and setting the background image of that row then setting the Background Image Style to Parallax. If your homepage is set as a static page you can add this from the home edit page, or you can use the home widget area (enabled in Theme Options > Home Layout) and add a Layout Builder Widget from Appearance > Widgets.
3. You could use a shortcode rather than using the staff grid template. Like this:

Just so you know h1 is for page titles. inside the grid the post title would be your h5 font which you can set in the theme options > typography settings.Just so you know the demo was using

I can’t seem to create a blog like in the virtue premium demo – *Login to see link
When i make my blog page set to the ‘blog grid’ template – my blog posts dont include the images and scrolling on the top of each blog post like the demo page does, also it doesnt put the blog title in bold, and neither is the blog title in the same font as seen on the demo page – rather its much bigger and not as neat.
How do I overcome this? Do i need a plugin? Can I assume that anything on the virtue premium demo page can be created on my site as I have bought this theme?

I was looking at my Grid Blog page and I noticed that the first Video Post was looking perfect, then I scroll down (Infinite Scroll set) and another Video Post came up, this time it was completely distorted, losing the proportion and then another Video Post, again distorted.
This is the image of the Blog Page Before Scrolling:

I circled in red all three Video Posts.
I checked the Posts themselves, they are all created the same (iframe).
When you see them in single mode they are Ok.Then I checked the Category Page, here is the image:
This page shows no problem.
I decided to disconnect the ‘Infinite Scroll’ and BOOM, problem GONE, not SOLVED.
Here is the image of the Second and Third pages (the first one is the same as the very first image)
What do you think about?

You should be able to set how you want archive pages to show in your theme options > blog option. Scroll down. You can set it to be a grid there.

Hey,
Items in a blog grid are ordered height first. Meaning highest on the page (this is similar to pinterest).
If they are all the same height then they would default to left aligned but as you have with posts that area all different sizes the “next” post in the loop goes to the next highest placement.Add this css and you can see what I mean:

Sure thats fine, make two different staff groups and assign each staff post to one of those groups. Then when you make the page use the staff grid template and choose to show only items from one of the two groups.

It’s going to be up to you to decide what works best, but you should be able to accomplish that with the built in theme options. If you’re trying to display multiple portfolio grid pages, then you will have to get creative when it comes to using your “portfolio work types” and setting up each page to show only the posts that you want to be there.

Have you looked into the “Staff Grid” template as an option? You could use multiple of these and determine who you want to appear on each page, and you’ll be able to pull those individuals through shortcode anywhere you want on the page. This seems to be a bit easier than trying to get your page to display two portfolios.
You could also use the portfolio work types to determine which posts display on each portfolio page. Under your portfolio page options you’ll find this option. You’d have to create new types for each post you want to be grouped together, but that should work as well.
