Hey,
What are you permalink settings? Try setting to Post Name. Does that change anything? Also, in Settings > Reading ensure that you have no set a page to be your post page. That should be left blank.

Hey,
You can use the custom menu widget. You can assign items in your apperance > menus and then call that menu into the sidebar with the widget.

In terms of styling you would need to use css if you wanted to change backgrounds and colors. We can help with that if you can post a link and tell us what colors you want.

I don’t know what plugin your using… But I suggest using the “virtue: recent post widget” in your apperance widgets page.

In your post edit page there is a box for a custom excerpt. If you don’t see click “screen options” in the top right corner and make sure excerpt is checked.

There you can define the text that should show in an excerpt so wordpress doesn’t have to try to navigate through your pagebuilder content to try and pull an excerpt.

Are you talking about the cart in the top bar?

Here is some CSS that will let you control the background of that.

If you’re talking about another cart on the site, could you post a link so I can write the correct CSS?

    background: red;
}

Copy and paste this code from the forum to Theme Options> Advance Settings.

2. Where should I add this css code? I tried adding to 3 different places (the theme options/advanced settings css, the page builder row css in the testimonial post, and the page builder editor box css in testimonial post. Each time it seems to be hiding the testimonial text rather than the testimonial image thumbnail. Is there a different place I should be adding it?

In another post here I found
.shop_table .actions input[type=submit].button, .product_item .kad_add_to_cart {

}

background: #fe9e3b;
color:white;
}
Which let me change other cart /shopping backgrounds but can find one for the View Cart button???

Hey,
You can use the sidebar feature. You can create sidebars from Theme Options > Misc Settings then add content to them from Appearance > Widgets. You could use the custom menu widget for your case. Then on the edit page[s] you can select a sidebar template.
You can change the text/background/etc with css. What colors are you wanting? Could you post a link?

1. If you go to Appearance > Menus you should see a Portfolio Type tab on the left. If you don’t see this you may need to select it from the Screen Options tab on the top right of the page.

2. a.) What exactly do you mean “types (not filters)”? They’re the same thing.
b.) You can use a shortcode like this: [portfolio_posts orderby=date columns=2 ratio=square filter=true layoutstyle=flat-no-margin hoverstyle=default items=6 masonry=false lightbox=true showtypes=true]
