In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Large galleries help
Hi, not sure if this is something you can help me with… but it won’t hurt to ask.
I’m setting up client proofing for my weddings with password protection (I figured out the password stuff), a wedding can easily be 1000 photos and yes I will be posting every one of them! But I think setting up a single gallery page with 1000 images on a page is a bad idea, so I’m going to break it down into groups, ie ceremony, formals, family, reception, getting ready etc.
Now I can create separate pages for each and depending on your answer I may just do that. But, what I’d really like is a single page with perhaps a drop down list to select the gallery – so the single page supports multiple galleries. Make sense?
Anyhow just wondering if this is something I can do with your theme or if you have any ideas?Thanks, Glenn

Hi Jesper,
1. The search menu function only works with the default header style (Theme Options > Site Header). If you wanted to use a child theme we could give you code to hook this function into the right menu.
2. The recent posts widget was built more for a sidebar or footer. I would suggest enabling the Latest Blog Posts from Theme Options > Home Layout.
3. If you use the Home Image Menu from Theme Options > Home Layout there is already an option to change the font color.
Hope that helps!

There is a featured image set.
For post summary do you mean what is set under the reading settings? If so, it is set to show ‘full text’ for each article in feed.
I will try to get hosts to look at error logs, but they are pretty useless so not sure where that will get me 🙂

Hi!
I’ve just begun building my second wordpress site and using Pinnacle this time. However I have a few problems.
1. I can’t get the search bar/icon to show up in the menu even though I’ve enabled search in primary menu.
2. I’m using the “Pinnacle recent post” widget on my home page to show recent posts from the blog. However they turn up really really small and I’d like them to be a bit bigger and more in line with the rest of the content.
3. I also have “pinnacle image menu item” widgets on my homepage and I’ve tried to change the text colour from white to a more bluish colour so it stands out a bit more from the picture. However the text is still white…
The website is *Login to see link
Thank you in advance!

There may be a plugin that offers this, but I did a bit of searching and couldn’t find one. You can add a slideshow to any blog post using page builder and and the pinnacle: gallery widget or any of the slider widgets.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the theme:)Hannah

I appreciate both of your responses. I’m sorry for the delay. I forgot to check the box at bottom to send responses to me.
I want to create a slideshow on Apple’s iPhoto with all the music, bells and whistles. Then I would like to add that slideshow to a post on my blog-site, http://williamkemsley.com.
Forgive my innocence. While I’ve come a long way, I’m still a babe in the woods about ways to make my blog-site more sophisticated.
I’m on a Apple Macbook Pro and have had a lot of success in building my site on the Pinnacle Premium theme. I love the support you folks have given me. Everyone who visits my site and knows me goes out of their way to compliment me on the site.

March 31, 2016 at 4:51 pm #88614I got on your site (by the way best to post here in the future you can use Set as private reply.)
You had the border set.. see this image: http://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/1128858/c2b70ed8337c37b5d91298c71a4ee56f
Notice the border color is set. That you just have to clear.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHey, guys! Thanks for the superb support. You’ve helped me with a couple of tricky little requests, and I now have one more… BTW, I just did a 5* review on wordpress.org, praising your support.
One of the things I did a couple of days ago was try to get rid of white space between the slider and the footer on the home page. I followed advice I found in a couple of postings here, and added this code to my Advanced Settings:
/*Code to eliminate white break between slider and footer*/
.ktslider_home_hidetop {
padding-bottom: 0;
}.home .contentclass, .home .sliderclass {
padding:0;
margin:0;
}On a computer, it works perfectly and looks great.
However, I use the Cyclone slider as the Mobile slider, and have specified the numbers along the bottom as a cue to users to wait for the slider to cycle along. You can see this at *Login to see link if you view it on a phone.
Now that the extra white space is gone, the numbers now show up overlaid on TOP of the footer. It looks a little nasty. Is there a way to add padding for phones only? I wouldn’t want to add white space back for a computer user.

March 31, 2016 at 1:14 pm #88595One more thing: Is it possible to keep some kind of reduced sized header image in my blog post, just with the site title rather than the post title? I ask because much of my traffic is driven to specific articles on my site by Google and I would like my branding to show.
Post now look like this:
http://www.pintsizepilot.com/family-friendly-dfw-airport-hotel-grand-hyatt/
Where home page looks like this: http://www.pintsizepilot.com/
Thanks.

March 31, 2016 at 1:02 pm #88587I have a feeling we may be misunderstanding each other… Are you looking in your footer widget areas or are you just looking at all the widget options you have?
If you can post a link that really would be super helpful.

March 31, 2016 at 12:57 pm #88584Hey
In your theme options > blog options you can turn off the post title in header.Ben
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeMarch 31, 2016 at 11:53 am #88563Hi there,
I was just wondering how to remove a post title from the header. Right now, when I click on a post, the title appears both at the top of the post and in the header (I would prefer to just have my logo appear in the header).
Example:
Home: *Login to see link
Post: *Login to see link (I would like to keep the reduced header size within the post though).Thank you !

March 31, 2016 at 11:50 am #88562Hey,
I’m seeing the page die when the query goes to call the post summary option.For this post: http://www.michelebradyceramiques.com/?p=1812
can you tell me what the post summary option is? Do you have a featured image set?
Also you could know right away by checking the php error logs what’s tripping the page. Your host would be able to show you where that is.

March 31, 2016 at 11:15 am #88558In each post you can set the max height and width. Make sure that your settings there are smaller then your images. For example this image:http://www.naturalchoicesuk.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/runner-1.jpg is only 251×201.
So you need to make your slider width 250 and height 200.
