February 3, 2016 at 1:13 pm #79495So of course I have no idea what your body font settings are… But if your not going to post a link this will at least get you close, I assume you can adjust from there?
#kad-menu-search-popup .form-search .search-query { line-height: 36px; font-size: 14px; height: 36px; } #kad-menu-search-popup .form-search .search-icon { font-size: 14px; height: 36px; }Ben

Hello,
I searched the forum but was unable to find what I was looking for. I need to customize the following things. I tried css codes but I don’t think I’m doing it right
Here’s and example of a typical post: *Login to see link
1) Change the style of the Date Box and the “Previous”/”Next” buttons – Outline border of the box #4c32cc width 2px; white background; text color #4c32cc
2) Remove the “suggested posts” at the bottom of the page. I already tried to turn off the settings through the theme options
3) Change the style of the post tags – larger text, text color #4c32cc, and “#” symbol in front of each word.I appreciate any help! THANK YOU!

February 3, 2016 at 11:23 am #79457Hi Hannah
Thank you for your reply. I kind of ended up going round in circles and found the last post was the simplest. If you look at the image it shows what I mean.
I set it like this using Hover and Active Font Color, Hover and Active Background Color.1) Top level menu hovers to brown background – I need it to not change background colour (or make it change to white) on the top level.
For example: Home Services About Articles and Blog Links & Resources Contact us, when hovered need to be white.2) Top level menu when Active makes the background brown. Again I do not want it change to brown but be white instead (not the submenu items).
3) The submenu when hovered goes brown which is good but the font is not white. I need to make the font white when hovered on the submenu items only, not the top level.
So to conclude with the settings in theme options > menu I now need to override the following using css:
Top level menu (not submenu items) items change to white when hovered
Top level menu (not submenu items) items change to white when active
Submenu items change to white font when hoveredI hope this makes sense.
Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.
Tom

Hello Hannah,
How to I use this code in a custom field in a template for a custom type post that is filled in using a user submission form?
<p>GSM: [types field=”gsm”][/types]555-555-5555</p> (in the template).
Many thanks and best regards,
Ed

Hello Hannah,
I found a solution putting this in the functions.php file in the child directory.
function my_add_excerpts_to_pages() {
add_post_type_support(‘page’, ‘excerpt’);
}
add_action(‘init’, ‘my_add_excerpts_to_pages’);And it seems to work.
Best regards,
Ed

Sorry Hannah / Ben – Being a bit dumb.
I think I’ve put this shortcode in somewhere :-
[kad_testimonial_form name_label=”Title” testimonial_label=”Blog Post” submit_label=”Submit”]but for the life of me, I cannot find where !?!
I think it’s around as the blog page has a section to create a new entry – which does come through a as testimonial – but I can’f find the shortcode.
It’s not in my Testimonial page and I do not have a blog page ?
Sorry
Thanks

February 3, 2016 at 7:25 am #79393With both options set:
Hover and Active Font Color
Hover and Active Background ColorHere is an image of the menu so you can see what I mean.
http://s24.postimg.org/dztpydb2d/11111.png
The top level menu items need to not change background colour on active or hover
The submenu needs to keep the same white font on hover.Hi,
I have a page setup using the ‘Blog’ category and it’s displaying posts from a chosen category, but it also displays all the posts in the child categories (even though they have been put into the parent category)
Is there any way to only show posts designated to the parent category on these blog pages?
Thanks
Clare

February 3, 2016 at 3:27 am #79367Hi
Yes I can – but I have 100’s of portfolio posts…
Why do I have to do this on every post – when all my portfolioitems are set to display “default” options for both title and other variables…In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Change font face and color
