    Hey,
sorry for the delay it’s holiday season here.

Also just so you know “nudging” a post will only make it longer till I reach it. I always work from the oldest last post.

You shouldn’t every edit theme files to add scripts because once an update is released it would remove your changes. There are some safe ways to add scripts into the header of your site through a child theme or plugins but there is also a built in way with this theme.

Go to theme options > theme extensions and enabled the header footer scripts. Save and reload the page. Then in your header script area of the theme options add the two lines.

    Hope that helps,

    Ben

    Hey Alesya,

Please in the future post in your own topic rather then posting in one marked as resolved.

Can you also post a link to your site with the css added so we can see what’s going on?

Vera, I have done this using Hannah’s css she posted whenever I would like the header image with no title on top of it. Then I just add a H1 in the body of the page for title and SEO purposes, it works well.

    Hey,
Do you mind posting a link?
    Thanks!

    Hi Nate,
Sorry for your struggle! First off, ensure that you do not have the virtue/pinnacle toolkit plugin activated. That is only needed for the free theme.

    1. Where/how are you adding the image? Can you post a link?

    2. I would suggest scaling down your images. Does this work for you?

You can see full documentation here- http://docs.kadencethemes.com/pinnacle/
    And tutorials here- https://www.kadencewp.com/tutorials/

    Hope that helps!

    Hey Danny,
Sorry for the delay! Crazy time of year.
There isn’t a simple way to make this work. If you created a row with four columns you might be able to use some css to get the second top column to stretch to the third, but it may be a slightly different look. If you post a link to where you’re working I may be able to help further.

    Hi,
Are you able to post an actual link to your site? You can set as a private reply.

    Hello Hannah and Ben,
When viewers click on my web address my last post appears but not my front page. Is that the way it is supposed to be? Or have I dropped my i’s and not crossed my t’s?

Thanks for the reply Dana! I appreciate it.

Unfortunately, i’ve tried the suggestions mentioned here various times (specifically clearing the cache) to no avail. I also updated the new theme. But I can try clearing the cache again to see if something changed with the new theme.

the the section of the site in question.

It not a big deal yet, as is it Christmas season. However, the site is for a presentation on Monday, so this all has to be working by then.

If it helps, i found an error in the page that seems to associated with the image. I’ll post it here

<b>Warning</b>: stripos() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in <b>/home2/waa6tu0aas3g/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php</b> on line <b>3379</b><br />

I’ve got the same error Michael, maybe try the tips Ben and Hannah suggested in this thread to see if they work?

    https://www.kadencewp.com/support-forums/topic/error-with-new-update-1-5-4/

I’m still having an issue but I’m not too worried about it right this second as it’s the Xmas season (my main concern was at first the images weren’t even showing up in the summary of the blog posts so most of my homepage was completely blank).

    Hello folks,

My first weekend working with WordPress. Love your Pinnacle theme so far!

But i have a question that’s i havent been able to figure out yet

images that i set as the “Feature picture” do not show up in the page with the full blog posts excerpts (they show up in the either in the summary fine).

All i get is what look like a broken picture thumbnail which directs me to the picture in question, indicating (to me anyway) that there was a problem in rendering the image. However, when i post the image in the paragraph section, it shows up in the blog post fine.

    I have verified the following
-blog post is set to “image”
    -I set featured image
    -head content set to “image”
    -post summary “image post default”

Can you care to help offer assistance?

    site is miclangelo.com
i took it off maintenance so you can see it (let me know if there’s a way you can access it without me having to make the site live).

    Thanks!!

    Thanks Hannah,

I haven’t tried going one by one, but I did de-activate all plugins at once via SQL (active_plugins record in wp_options) and the problem persisted without my patch line.

And I don’t see how this would be related, but I also get a fatal error on trying to activate the “Virtue / Pinnnacle ToolKit” theme (the theme which post-types.php checks for with the is_plugin_active() method):

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare kad_accordion_shortcode_function()
    (previously declared in .../wp-content/themes/pinnacle_premium/lib/kad_shortcodes/general_shortcodes.php:33)
    in .../wp-content/plugins/virtue-toolkit/shortcodes.php on line 22

I’ve tried Firefox, Edge (the new IE), and Chrome – all are the same even if I clear the cache, cookies, and browsing data. The homepage shows the blog featured images, but the blog posts themselves aren’t displaying them, there’s just a broken image link above the title of the blog post (but all the other images embedded in the posts are showing up fine). Don’t worry about it right now, it’s not massively important right now as at least my site is displaying the homepage images correctly. Enjoy your Xmas, and thanks for looking into it! 🙂

    Hey Danny,
You could do this using some css. Do you mind posting a link?

    Hi Andy,
Do you mind posting a link to your site? I would suggest deactivating your plugin one by one to test if one is conflicting.

    #72864

    Hey Dana,
I just tested and your images were linking to their correct blog posts. What browser are you using?

    Hannah

Not sure if it’s just me, if my update didn’t work properly, or what, but after updating to the latest version of Pinnacle (1.5.4), my site failed to load with the error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_plugin_active()
originating from line 3 of lib/post-types.php

I was able to seemingly fix this by adding the dependency to the top of post-types.php:
    include_once( ABSPATH . 'wp-admin/includes/plugin.php' );

Should the theme be patched, or is there something else going on with my installation? Presumably plugin.php is meant to be called before post-types.php, but this isn’t happening for whatever reason…
