In reply to: Product shows default sidebar
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHi,
I’ve created a custom sidebar called ‘product’ and have set this as the default sidebar for products in the theme options.
However, when I view a product the default sidebar is shown instead of the product-sidebar.How can I make the theme use the product-sidebar for products?
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
I am wondering how to make the blog summary images equally sized so that the effect is an even grid and not masonry. I know how to set this for portfolio and shop but do not see the option for posts. Each image is set to landscape. Is this possible using theme settings or will the images need to be resized?
I am calling the blog grid using this shortcode on a sidebar template page:
[blog_grid items=”10″ columns=”2″ offset=”1″]

Dear Hannah,
thank you for your answer, but i mean weather it is possible to remove the right sidebar (not the topbar) from all my posts, pages, … Even if the sidebar has no widgets nevertheless there is an empty area of the right sidebar. In Design–>Menu I removed all Widgets from primary sidebar, but there is stil a empty sidebar on the right side. For e.g I want to use for my content “with=800px” without any right sidebar. I would like to use a individual Content-“WIDTH”, but not fullscreen.I hope I could express it on a right way.
Thank you very much

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: sidebar widget very weird issue
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHello Ben,
Unfortunately is always me to report something weird, I explain it briefly.
1- you create a serial of sidebar with theme options > misc settings > Create Custom Sidebars > Add More > Name > save settings
2- then you go to Appearance > Widget and add widgets to each sidebar3- at this point if you go back to theme options > misc settings > Create Custom Sidebars > Add More > Name > save settings
4- stay in theme options > misc settings > Create Custom Sidebars > remove one sidebar in between the serial and save settings5- return to Appearance > Widget you will see that widgets are been moved downward starting from where the previous deleted sidebar was set.
Shortly, Sidebar is deleted but widgets not and incorrectly they move to occupy the new created place.
You can recreate it in your local system please, do not use my site cause I spent half an hour to reset it again.

In forum: Virtue ThemeI updated my website *Login to see link from Virtue 3.0.4 to 3.0.5 and the formatting has changed from a desktop look to a mobile look. The title header and the site tagline are no longer centred but on the left side. All links including the header are underlined. The secondary menu has changed from being centred to being a bulleted list on the left side. My sidebar is now underneath the page content on the left side. My images on the homepage are no longer in line across the page, but go underneath each other centred vertically down the page. It looks like a mobile version of the site.
I’ve tried activating a different theme, deleting the 3.0.5 version and reinstalling the 3.0.4 version, but it doesn’t change. It still looks the same as described above.
Can you please help?

May 12, 2015 at 10:41 am #40497Hey, the blog page can use the blog page template and that template has an option to choose which sidebar you want to show,
Just make sure you have not set that page to be your “post page” in the settings > reading.

That does help almost all the way. I’d forgotten I can individually choose the sidebar for each blog post so that works for part! The pages part — not quite there because the default mysite.com/blog page doesn’t allow me to change the template for that page (to be different from other pages that I have which must use the site primary sidebar). Bumble, bumble.

Hi Brenda,
In Theme Options > Blog Options you can choose a default sidebar for your posts (under Blog Post Defaults) then a separate one for your archives (under Blog Category/Archive Defaults). You can over-ride the default settings in the post edit page under Post Options. And for the pages you just need to use a sidebar page template.
You can create your sidebars in Theme Options > Misc Settings and edit them in Appearance > Widgets.
Hope that helps!Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Blog Post Sidebar Default?
I have a problem– I just realized that I need to use a sidebar other than the default sidebar for my blog posts. I can change the sidebar choice for the archives, of course, but the posts? I need my site pages to use one default sidebar, my blog posts a 2nd default sidebar, and a subset of each to use different sidebars. Thats a total of 4 sidebars. 1.default-pages, 2.default-blog posts, 3.special-pages, 4.special-blog posts, Any way of doing that? I can use the primary for one of them but can’t figure how to do the rest.
Thanks!
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Pinnacle Carousel widget and Sidebar Issue
Hi Ben,
I wrote above.
The issue was exactly how explained above.
If you visit any post now it has a wide black behind the media (slideshow, video or flipguide), but after updating to latest version of pinnacle and wp-4.2.2 this black background (div set by css “flipflip” rule) shrunk and all media were offset to the right as well as the sidebar had changed size.First i made smaller the various media of about 40px to make them appear inside a minimum background, then I by chance created a new sidebar and let it two columns. The result was the site went back to its earlier aspect like you see now
That’s all

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: home slider and portfolio for the homepage
1. If you did a preview of the kadence slider then that is all you will see. It doesn’t preview what it would look like on your homepage.
2. So if you want the slider to be in line with the sidebar and not above it you will need to add it as a shortcode. Are you setting your page up as a static page? If so you can paste the slider shortcode right into the page content area of the home edit page. Or you can use the home widget area and paste the shortcode in a visual editor widget.
