In reply to: Post/Page Editor window – always maximum width
March 22, 2024 at 2:16 am #287980Hi Karla,
Thanks for trying to help with this.
I have three WP sites, all using Kadence. And had used all for years before latest update, which has changed all three. So it’s something in that making the change.
I’m using Right Sidebar in my page layout. I’ve displayed another image from my test site below, which shows how close the text is now to the edge of the screen. There always used to be a gap.

Hi, Björn!
You can remove the sidebar from the Theme Options. Go to Theme Options > Page/Post Settings. Select “No Sidebar” for the Default Page Template – Sidebar Default option – https://share.zight.com/geuBerEZ.
I hope this helps, and let us know if we can assist you further.

March 16, 2024 at 9:33 pm #287862Hi Robert,
There isn’t a way to add a native sidebar to an element template.
What you can do is create a custom sidebar using the Row Layout block. Here’s a video for reference: https://share.zight.com/BluqmGqp
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

March 16, 2024 at 9:30 am #287856Hi Karla,
is there also a possibility to set all the sidebars of existing blog posts (not pages) to hide, or do I have to deactivate in every single post (Free Theme).

BjörnIn forum: Membership ForumsTopic: 3 questions…
February 13, 2024 at 2:45 pm #287491Hi,
I have three questions:
1. How do I make the white space between the two curves disappear by putting both blocks (the top and bottom one) together? Please see the screenshot. I tried with padding but it doesn’t move the curves.2. How do I set the page/homepage photo in a way that the photo along with bottom text/wavy banner will show up full screen on any screen?
3. I don’t know what I clicked but something strange happened – when I want to edit the top block (with the photo), I can now only see the “Content” option in the right sidebar and even that one looks weird (please see the screenshot). How do I get back all the functions?
Thank you for your help!
BarbaraIn forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Dark overlay preventing from writing
Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out.
From the screenshot you sent, I am unable to pinpoint what could have caused the dark overlay. To troubleshoot this, please change the Content Background Color to white in the theme Customizer > Colors & Fonts > Colors and see if that helps.
Here is a screencast for your reference:

For the Head and Footer checkbox, this is caused by the Head, Footer and Post Injections plugin activated on your website.
Kindly deactivate the plugin or click on the bottom-arrow icon in the editor to move it to the right sidebar. Here is a screencast for your reference:

Hi, @jcvvcj!
This topic has been marked as resolved and it can cause a delay in responding to you. Kindly submit a new forum topic for your question in the future.
There is no option to add a new sidebar. However, if you have the Kadence Theme Pro add-on, the “Hooked Elements” can help you replace and show a different sidebar content for specific posts/pages. Here’s a link to the feature – https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/how-to-use-element-hooks/.

January 19, 2024 at 8:58 am #287153Hi @travis-fultz,
Try adding the following code to hide the sidebar on mobile in your Customizer > Additional CSS. https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/how-do-i-add-custom-css/
@media screen and (max-width: 768px){ .has-sidebar .primary-sidebar {display:none !important;} }You can also submit a feature request to show/hide the sidebar based on devices here: https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/feature-requests/ so the developers can consider the feature that you have in mind. However, please note that we cannot give an ETA of when this will be added. The development team considers certain factors before implementing new ones.
I hope this helps, let us know if we can assist you further.
Kindly open a new support ticket for new inquiries. This will help us maintain minimal topics in a ticket and avoid confusion along with the conversation.

January 12, 2024 at 6:53 am #287027This code did not work for me.
My site and an example blog post: https://www.menofstrengthusa.com/bible-verses-about-strength-in-hard-times/
currently i have sidebars globally turned on but only want them active on desktop so they don’t show at the bottom of mobile pages.
Im not very code literate so not sure why it wouldnt work.
You would think there would be a simple setting for this?

January 8, 2024 at 2:22 pm #286973Hi There,
I am unable to replicate the issue. The sidebar is showing as expected. Check the screenshot: https://share.zight.com/bLuQDjxN
Could you share the website URL, so we can have a closer look at the issue?
For initial troubleshooting, please could you do the steps listed in this article https://www.kadencewp.com/blog/how-to-troubleshoot-your-website? This will help us rule out these usual causes of WordPress issues, so we can move on to investigating other possible causes of this issue on your website.
Please let us know how it goes, we’ll be more than happy to help.

Do you see any console errors while adding any block to your sidebar widget areas? Please take a screenshot and send it to us here if you see any errors.
The issue might be coming from one of your plugins too so please do some of the troubleshooting steps here:

December 17, 2023 at 9:49 pm #286732I just now noticed that no blocks from any plugin can be added in kadence sidebar…so its not just kadence blocks…others as well. The footer widget and others allow for inserting…so the problem is just with the sidebar it seems.

December 17, 2023 at 9:47 am #286730I cannot get the pro blocks to appear. I have done all the above to no resolution. When I try to look at the widgets nothing appears for the sidebar but an error code if I click on the + button. I cannot edit anything in the sidebar.
