Hi there
Just wondering if I am missing something obvious here. I have created an alternative sidebar which I want to use on some category pages but not on others but I can’t see where to specify which sidebar to use where. I can see on the Edit Category page the option to use a different Product archive template but when I go to Edit Woo Archive Template Item you can’t specify anywhere there what sidebar to use. Is there another way around this problem perhaps.
Thanks very much

March 6, 2018 at 8:14 pm #182230In the product layout, the item price is displayed directly below the product title. I think this is confusing for visitors, and I would like to display the price for each item next to (or just above) the add to cart button or even next to the product quantity +/- box. Is this possible?
You would need to use a plugin like this to change the product template:
https://www.kadencewp.com/product/kadence-woo-template-builder/
Or use a child theme and change the order that woocommerce hooks items into the product template.One more thing, I have a sidebar with product categories displayed on the left side in desktop view, but in mobile, this sidebar with categories is displaying at the bottom after scrolling through all the products. I want to display it at the top instead, so visitors can immediately sort by product type/category when they come to the shop main page. Is there a way I can accomplish this?
I would suggest you add the product categories into the shop page content at the top of your page using this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/widgets-on-pages/ or the plugin above that I already mentioned can edit the archive templates.
Then you would need to hide that widget for desktop so it only appears on mobile. You can do that with css.

Hi,
These may be questions I need to direct to woocommerce support, which I have, but I didn’t get any response from them.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Create submenus in portfolio page
Hello, my name is Mikhail.
My question is how can i make a filter in portfolio likeI-1-a,b,c;2-a,b,c,d; II-1-a,b;2-a,b; III-1-a,b;2-a,b;
In your demo site it is very easy to do I-1-2-3-4-etc; II-1-2-3-4-etc; III-1-2-3-4-etc; end so on.
So how can i realize a multilevel filter with portfolio? Is it posible?
Or how can i use sidebar in portfolio in order to do a comfortable menu if it is ureal to do a multilevel portfolio menu?
Sincerely yours Mikhail.

March 6, 2018 at 10:48 am #182159Hey, Please copy this css from the forums, not from an email else it will not work:
@media (min-width: 992px){ #content { position: relative; } #content:before { position: absolute; content: ''; width: 20%; height: auto; top: 0px; bottom: -30px; right: 15px; background: #87004d; -webkit-border-top-right-radius: 25px;; -moz-border-top-right-radius: 25px; border-top-right-radius: 25px; display: block; clear: none; z-index: 0; } aside#ktsidebar { padding: 0 40px; } .main.col-md-12 {z-index: 1;} .main.col-md-12:after { content: ''; background: white; width: 100%; position: absolute; left: 0; top: -20px; bottom: -30px; height: auto; display: block; clear: none; z-index: -1; } #ktsidebar-second:before { background: #87004d; display: block; content: ''; height: auto; left: 15px; top: 0px; webkit-border-top-left-radius: 25px; -moz-border-top-left-radius: 25px; border-top-left-radius: 25px; width: 23%; bottom: -30px; position: absolute; z-index: 0; } .sidebar.left { z-index: 2; position: relative; } }Paste that into your custom css box and leave it there then post back here with results. do not remove that css so we can see how your adding it.

Ben, that solved it, thanks very much.
I removed that and now my products all line up as desired on my shop home, but each individual product page still has a lot of empty space/padding between the topmenu and the product image gallery.
Also, on the blog page I have opted to have the sidebar and assigned one to the left side, but it seems to be displaying up at the top left, obscured behind my kadence slider. Any idea why this might be the case?
Thanks again.

March 5, 2018 at 2:15 pm #182029Hey,
So wait you want the sidebar to stay below the page title, but you want a widget in the sidebar to be beside the page title? If you wanting to directly add something into the page title like that (so it appears with the page title even on mobile) then you would need to add that to the page-header.php template.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Change Blog Post Form/Look
Dear Hannah , this are not working well , the result you can see here : https://dyathon.com/ . .I am sorry maybe I do not explain well . So I will try to explain again , for this I will edit images :
This is the blog look without sidebar https://imgur.com/G4PDHwv , and I like the post form/look in the category/section “Latest from the Blog” . So when I am add the sidebar , how you said homepage has not quite enough room for the grid to lay . So the look are changed in this : https://imgur.com/IG5hFHe . Is there a solution to keep the form of the posts ? I mean to put images from the top side of the post in the left side ? I can explain badly because English is not my native language so I made a Image Before and After [ Before – How it looks now ] and [ After – How I need ] https://imgur.com/dBtnxH5 . Thank you very much !
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Custom sidebar not displaying on Blog archive page
March 5, 2018 at 10:22 am #181985Hey,
This is confusing but here is an explanation. I think in the next version I’ll work to pull in page settings into a page marked as the “posts page”The blog page is a page, not an archive. So since it’s a page you set the sidebar in the page edit, not in your blog archive settings.
It’s confusing but if you go into pages in your admin and you see “blog” then it’s a page not an archive. so the sidebar setting follows what you set in the page.
Now to make things more confusing that “page” is set in your settings > reading as the “posts page” which creates a really funny relationship where it’s not an “archive” and it’s not a “page” because it’s being overridden by the settings > reading thus it doesn’t take the output settings of the page.
In the end the best thing would be to go to settings > reading and unselect your blog page as the post page. Just leave that blank, Then go into your blog page itself and set the template to blog, then add in your sidebar preferences.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeI created a custom sidebar called Blog sidebar. It correctly displays on the blog posts pages however I cannot get it to display on the main blog archive page. It persists in showing the primary sidebar no matter what I do. ie I cant even choose to not display any sidebar on the archive page.
see here it displays the primary sidebar (which I’ve edited for use on shop pages)
*Login to see linkThis page shows the custom sidebar which I want to display on the archive page…otherwise I’d like to know why I cant display no sidebar on that page too
*Login to see linkThese are my options…

Hi dyathon,
Because you are showing a sidebar on your homepage there is not quite enough room for the grid to lay like you’re wanting. THis css should get you closer:@media (min-width: 1200px) { .home .grid_item img { max-width: 150px; float: left; } .home .tcol-md-6.tcol-sm-12 { width: 35%; } .home .tcol-lg-6.tcol-md-12 { width: 65%; } .home .grid_item { max-height: 260px; } }Just add that to your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings.
Hope it’s helpful!Hannah

Thanks Ben,
I generally set up a child theme right at the start, then it’s there for future modifications. Please could you expand on your thoughts?I tried your CSS approach and I can see how that might apply. The sidebar is currently positioned so that it is level with the content and the client likes that. It’s just the one button we need to move up, but I think I can see what’s needed.
Kind regards,
Phil.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Move Site Origin button into title space
March 4, 2018 at 10:30 am #181862with a child theme this would be cleaner, you would change where the page title loads so it’s only the width of your content and it’s above the sidebar but with css you can use something like this:
@media (min-width: 992px){ .page:not(.home) .sidebar { margin-top: -80px; } }Ben
