Topic: Home Page Issue
In forum: Virtue ThemeJanuary 19, 2016 at 2:24 am #76392Hello, I use the Virtue Premium theme and bought & downloaded the WPML Multilingual CMS plug in. I do not have string translation option with it. Everything is translating fine, the posts and pages, EXCEPT:
1)the home page. I cannot get change slider images on the home page which I´d like to make into Spanish version. I looked in the Language Setting and it shows that the .mo file for the home page is not found. This is what shows:
Language Code Locale file name MO file in /var/www/vhost/eleteholistichydrate.com/home/html/wp-content/languages MO file in /var/www/vhost/eleteholistichydrate.com/home/html/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium
English en .mo
Spanish es .mo File not found! File not found!2) the Widget area does not show another language (Spanish) version, I have Footer image menus and the Sidebar..
I appreciate the help since I´m a newbie at this. In case it helps, the website is http://www.eleteholistichydrate.com
Thanks!!
SusanIn forum: Pinnacle ThemeGood evening,
On the homepage of our website (www.heyvoyager.com) I am using two widgets (instagram and twitter feed) as part of the primary sidebar and I would like to have them both aligned as far as possible to the right.
I have identified the twitter feed target using Chrome developer tools but I have been unable to successfully adjust the CSS to align it with the instagram feed.
I have tried targeting what I believe is the twitter feed widget (.div.twitterwidget.widget-easy-twitter-feed-widget-kamn-3) and adding custom CSS. Unfortunately, none of the following worked:
text-align: right;
margin-left:auto; margin-right:0;
float: right;I am using a shortcode for the twitter feed as part of the ‘Easy Twitter Feed Widget’ so I am not certain if this is inhibiting CSS.
If you have any guidance I will greatly appreciate it as I am now lost.
Thank you for your time,
Ben

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: wp-updates outage?
I am fairly new to WordPress so forgive me if I use incorrect terminology…
My questions:
A. Is ws-updates.com having an outage right now?
B. Is that site generally flaky?
C. Are you moving your updater to a more reliable site?I have not been able to login to the dashboard for our site for a couple days (as of Jan 18, 2016). I get the White Screen of Death, however, if I then access the content of the site in the same browser it will show that I am logged in and I can log out from there. The site that regular users see is working fine. The same thing happened for a few days sometime after Dec 8, 2015 and resolved with no action on our part on Dec 18, 2015. In November I set WP_DEBUG=true and found that a timeout was occurring in class-http.php in the request() method. Before I could get any further, the problem resolved.
This time I found the same timeout was happening. I added a line to print the URL being requested and discovered that it was:
*Login to see linkI also found that I was unable to access any page at wp-updates.com.
I gather that this site is used by Virtue to check for updates? I also found other discussion threads on other sites with complaints about wp-updates.com. But I was surprised that I didn’t find others on THIS site with the same complaint. It seems like this would be a global outage and all users of your theme would be complaining. I can understand brief outages, but multi-day outages that prevent administration of all sites using your theme is not acceptable.
Either that or you’ve already updated the theme to avoid the use of wp-updates.com and I’ve just revealed that I don’t have the latest version of Virtue Premium installed and am paying the price for my negligence?
I believe I am on version 3.3.5 according to the readme.txt in wp-content/themes/virtue_premium.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Responsive problem
Hey,
There isn’t a parallax option for mobile, sorry. You can use this css to align the logo and site title:@media (max-width: 768px) { header #logo a.brand, .logofont { font-size: 28px; } div#logo { display: inline; } .kad_tagline { font-size: 16px; float: right; } }Just paste that in your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings.
Hope that helps!Hannah

Hi Hannah,
Thanks for your reply, I tried those css and it didnt make any changes 🙁
When I go to the shop page it shows nothing in the admin side but lots of content on the shop page accessible from the wordpress site.
I was able to add the text through the visual editor (thank you 🙂 ) But would like to know how to remove the categories from the top of the page please, I like the category images and having them in the side bar with the basket etc.

Hi Benjamin,
I can’t get your site to load. I would suggest deactivating plugins to test if any are interfering.
You can download the latest version here- https://www.kadencewp.com/my-account/Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: edit header that's a logo and menu
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
My site is http://www.brooklyntropicali.com
I use several Revolution Sliders on my site, but can not figure out how to make them mobile responsive. I see in the slide editor tab that I can choose to see how the slider will look in desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile view, but I can’t find where I can get the slider to just scale for smaller screens. Is there an option to do this? The photos and text get cut off when viewed in mobile.
I also understand that if the slider scaled completely, the text would probably be too small to read. Are there any fixes for that?
Thanks for your help.
Susan

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Extend Footer Call To Action
In forum: Virtue ThemeThanks for your post. Yeah it was working fine before. But now that I think about it, I built the site on my localhost and then uploaded it to my server and when that happened a lot of the “localhost” links did not change to “https://odetowood.com” links. Do you think that might be an issue? Thank you for your reply.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Where do breadcrumbs show up in Virtue Premium?
All of your options regarding breadcrumbs can be found in Theme Options >Breadcrumbs. There you’ll get to choose where on your site they’ll be used. You’ll have to decide what works best for your application!
They appear directly below your primary navigation on the right side of your page.
Hope that helps!

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Mobile view not working
This theme is not set up to work like that, sorry. If everything were unresponsive it would either be shrunk down and hard to see, or it would go off the screen. I could help with certain areas like the menu or with columns, but a fully non-responsive site goes beyond theme support.
