In reply to: Theme Performence Issues Question
July 13, 2015 at 11:22 am #48850Hey,
95% of site performance is on your server and how well it runs. There isn’t anything in the theme that outputs and requires a ton of cpu usage.I can help you trouble shoot through. What is the url for your site?
Who is your host?
What are your php settings for max memory and max execution time?
Where are you noticing the slowness in the admin or on the front end?
what plugins are you using?
Ben

In forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
Has there been any know issues with this theme performing? I’m trying to track down exactly whats been causing the site Ive been working on to be extremely sluggish and at times unload-able. So therefore, I’m basically going down the list of plugins(deactivating them) and reviewing this theme. I’m currently maxed out with my host upgrades in terms of increasing the CPU Usage, Entry Processes, Memory Usage, etc. Please shed some light if you can.Thanks,
Robert
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Trouble with Mobile Menu
Hi,
As usual, thank you in advance for your always excellent help.
Would you look at my site: *Login to see link ? Everything is fine on a desktop or an iPhone, but on an iPad, the menu button is showing up under the image that I have in the header area. I am not picky about whether the actual menu shows (which is only 3 buttons) or just the Menu button on mobile, but I do have it set to the Menu button right now. I think it has something to do with the padding or spacing, but I am terrible with trying to figure out the CSS fix for these things.
Also, below is the only custom CSS I am using. I thought that might help you see what I did wrong.
Thanks so much!Patty
.page-header {
display: none;
}
.sliderclass {
padding: 0px;
}
.sliderclass {
border-top: 5px solid #553107;
border-bottom: 5px solid #553107;
}
a[href^=tel] {
color: inherit;
text-decoration: none;
}
.contentclass {
padding-top: 0px;

Hi Ben,
I do have one more issue besides the centering of images on the shop / category pages.
I wanted to use the Replace Add to Cart Button with Image code on another site although I forgot that it has three carousels. I looked at the code but I am lost on this. I hope this falls inline with your support for the theme.

July 12, 2015 at 10:07 pm #48792Hey,
Max execution of only 120 is not normal max for shared.. But it’s not worth going over. If you can just send me a wordperss url and login with user name I will do this for you.Regardless the importer plugin can import all the menus, sliders, widgets, The standard wordpress plugin can’t. It only imports the data.
There is sliders in the file that you can import for the revolution slider.
But if you can just send me access to the site I’lll get it set for you.
Ben

July 12, 2015 at 6:45 pm #48783Ben:
I have gone through the https://www.kadencewp.com/install-virtue-premium-with-demo-content/I imported the theme options per your instructions. I choose demo 1 to copy and paste.
Missing elements of the demo follow:
1. Revolution Slider Error: Slider with alias select not found. under the logo on the front demo page.
2. Images are icons, not T-Shirts, etc…
3. No footer.
4. The demo features a video demo & an example image post not in the demo 1 advertised.should I be uploading other files from the DEMO CONTENT zip?
My intent is to pattern my site and replace images and sliders in exactly the same place settings but with my own content.
Can you help me out here. Getting a bit frustrated.
Thanks,
Mark

This reply has been marked as private.July 12, 2015 at 3:54 pm #48776In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeThis is set as the default blog page, and it’s working, but I can’t change the template info when editing the page to use Feature w/ Sidebar to set a custom rev slider at the top and a blog-specific sidebar. (The options aren’t there when the page is set as the default blog page.)
You’ll see ever other page on the site has a rev slider across the top (just under the menu; standard functionality) and some section-or-page-specific sidebar.
Advice?
Thanks,
-DanIn forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: A few margin/padding issues
Hi,
I’ve been making some changes on my site and have some issues regarding spacing and margins. I’ve done a lot of searching on google and here on the forum and found fixes to several things I wanted to change, but I have not been successful on others, even though they are probably very basic fixes for people with experience. The following is what I’m trying to do over at zwcresearch.com
1) For most of the pages, I’d like to increase the margins/padding a bit between all content and the edges of the page. Is there a way to do this for specific pages? I know about changing the template when editing individual pages. I like the full width template, but would just like to increase the space for a few of the pages so it’s not crowding the edge of the page so much.
2) There is a box on the home page that says Recent Publications that is part of a widget, and I would like to get that box to stretch the width of the page (to not leave that little bit of space on either side) and to change its color.
3) Decrease the spacing between the menu items at the top of the site. I found some code to put the vertical lines between, but my attempts to bring the words a little closer together just made the words collapse into the lines.
Thank you!

Yep we figured out the reset process and uploaded the demo files a single time. No problem there.. However…
We were always met with this message:
“Sorry but your import failed. Most likely, it cannot work with your webhost. You will have to ask your webhost to increase your PHP max_execution_time (or any other webserver timeout to at least 300 secs) and memory_limit (to at least 196M) temporarily.”I contacted our server host (SiteGround).
So Siteground tried tweaking the memory_limit and spend a not insignificant part of the afternoon doing the following…
SiteGround Responds:
“I have tried to import the demo content several times, but some files are cannot be imported. This is caused by the fact that the import process hits the server limits, which we are not able to increase since you are on a shared hosting plan. In order to have the issue resolved, you may consider an upgrade to our Cloud hosting plans where we are able to change the PHP variables. Alternatively, you may contact the theme developers and ask them for the demo content files so you can manually import them in your theme. I hope that you will find this information useful and if you need any other assistance, please contact us again.”
So that’s were it lays. We are dead in the water with the Demo files we’d like to use or at least a way to quickly get the “bones” of your demo so that we can populate and tweak.
Please Advise and many Thanks Hannah,
Mark

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeI am trying to add an image in place of the Add to Cart Button. I was able to accomplish this for the single product page with the following although I am also getting the text “Buy Now” which is coming from the plugin WooCommerce Amazon Affiliates. Is there something I can add to remove the text?
.product .entry-summary .single_add_to_cart_button {
background: url(‘*Login to see link no-repeat;
width: 150px;
height: 63px;
}For the store / shop page I tried adding the following and I see the image and when I hover over it I see the orange Buy Now button. I would like the image to be hidden until hovered over and also with no text from the WooCommerce Amazon Affiliates plugin.
.kad_shop_default_simple .product_item a.button {
background: url(‘*Login to see link no-repeat;
width: 150px;
height: 63px;
}Here is a link to my site although I have removed the custom css code mentioned above. *Login to see link
Thank you in advance.
