In forum: Virtue ThemeNot using any of the extras. Just Virtue. WC support says those items (Phone Number and Email) should be appearing by default. (And they used to be on the New Order emails. Both stopped appearing with recent plugin updates.) I think there used to be a heading to the section below the line items, and it was called ‘Customer Info’ or something. It’s like that whole section isn’t there anymore. (And it’s not just the one PA Bakery site. Recently, several of my Virtue/WC customers have complained about the missing phone number. No clue as of yet to the source of the problem, hence this conversation…)
I know there is/was a child theme in place on PA Bakery. (At some point def…not sure of the status at the moment.) I don’t even remember why we used one, but I know it didn’t have anything to do with emails! (Maybe some simple product formatting or pagination code???)
Anyhow, according to WC, those fields should be showing by default, and if they are not, is is usually due to a conflict with the theme. (Paraphrasing their words; not blaming!)
I greatly appreciate your help here, Ben!
In forum: Virtue ThemeI got a response from Support at WooCommerce stating that The new order notification/email does indeed show phone number and email, but apparently the theme is conflicting with it or something.
This used to all be fine, but somewhere along the upgrade path, phone number and email address stop showing up on my WC emails. This used to all be fine, but somewhere along the upgrade path, phone number and email address stopped showing up on my WC new order emails. (WC says this is a theme issue, not a WC issue.)
Please help!
The site is pabakery.com, BTW, but I seem to be experiencing this issue across the board on sites with virtue theme and WC that have been updated recently.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: How do I change my post width
July 12, 2018 at 11:57 am #195725ok, I think you are just wanting to change the max-width of your site.
Go to theme options > misc settings and turn on “Limit Max Page to 940px”
Let me know if that is more what you want wanting.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: How do I change my post width
July 12, 2018 at 6:48 am #195673It is looking good but how do I now just adjust the total width of the site and narrow it by say 10/15%
I’m looking to get post character length down to 70 or so characters
In forum: Virtue ThemeI have the secondary menu background color set to light blue (#019ed3), with Hover and Active Background Color set to dark blue (#015697). When I am on the Home page, the 4th menu item is dark blue, as if active. This only happens when I am on the home page; when I go to any of the other pages, the hover and active background color does not appear until that menu item is selected. How can I fix this?
Thanks.

Hello, I am using the WPML plugin on my site. I had some small issues with the plugin and I contacted their support forum. The issues are resolved but they gave me this advice:
Can you please increase your Memory Limit and WP Memory limit to 256M? 128M is the minimum required by WPML.
Your current values are:
– Memory Limit 256M
– WP Memory Limit 40MAdd this code to your wp-config.php to increase WP memory:
/** Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');Paste it just before:
/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */These settings can be limited directly by your hosting provider, so I recommend you to contact and ask them to modify them directly. If you can get even higher values It would be great.
So I asked my hosting service and the increased memory limit to 256M, and that there is no need to change the wp-config.php
I still got on my System Status :
WP Memory Limit: 40 MBWhat should I do? Should I change the wp-config.php by myself?
Thanks in advance, GAbiIn forum: Membership ForumsBen – Glad that was clear enough to make sense. I wasn’t so sure I was explaining the problem well.
It’s not a big deal to me. It highlighted a need to go back and tidy up some of my older products.
Elementor is a bit of a learning curve. I think there’s more control than there is with Sitebuilder but every so often I hit things that stump me. Today I figured out that Elementor has its own setting for fonts and thus wasn’t using the ones that I had set up in Ascend’s settings. But I can definitely make layouts I couldn’t so easily make before so I’m glad to have been introduced to it.
🙂
Thanks,
Mark
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi guys,
On a DEV site, I’m having difficulty getting the menu dropdown positioning right. (Login to follow). There was a large gap between the menu heading and the dropdown sub-menu items.
I found this code: .sticky-wrapper .kad-header-style-three .nav-main .sf-menu > li > ul {top: 82% !important;}
and I have reduced the gap with: .sticky-wrapper .kad-header-style-three .nav-main .sf-menu > li > ul {top: 60% !important;}I have tried to correct the left alignment of the sub-menu dropdown by adding: ul.sf-dropdown-menu.dropdown {margin-left: 20px;}
but that only seems to work on the left hand menu “Knowledge Base”.
Please could you advise how to get this CSS to also target the sub-menu dropdown under the right-hand menu item “Quality Scorecard”.
Very many thanks,

Has Mailchimp fixed this problem yet? I am now adding the popup to another site, http://www.redceltstone.com. Do I still need to follow the code changes via your https://www.kadencewp.com/add-a-mailchimp-popup-subscribe-form-to-your-site/?
I am having trouble with this again figuring it out. Help appreciated.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Where Is My Blog?
July 11, 2018 at 5:24 pm #195635Oh, I see there are a lot of errors on the page, makes it so the animation can’t load to fade in the blog.
Looks like your adding mailchimp code, which doesn’t work well with wordpress. See here: https://www.kadencewp.com/add-a-mailchimp-popup-subscribe-form-to-your-site/
I suggest using boxzilla: https://www.kadencewp.com/setup-mailchimp-for-wordpress-plugin/
What you can do is turn off “animate in” that is in your theme options > misc settings.
but I suggest fixing mailchimp regardless since right now it’s not working on your site.

July 11, 2018 at 4:42 pm #195616You seem to be using the “Cachify” plugin, I suggest disabling this while your are editing and working on your site so that you can see updates without issues of caching.

In forum: Membership ForumsHello
Thank you for a terrific product. With roughly 800,000 books published annually and growing, and a with a good majority of them self-published Goodreads has become an important social media site for the publishing industry. I think it would be a very good addition to the icon library of the social media plugin.
Thank you again,

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Gap Between Rows
July 11, 2018 at 2:33 pm #195595Hi, I am in the middle of building a new site for someone and I am getting a big gap between rows using Page Builder.
I have been into Settings > Page Builder and set the Row/Widget Bottom Margin to 0. I have made sure it is 0 in the Layout of the rows but still a big gap.
The link where I am referring to is here: *Login to see link
Is there any CSS I can add?
Many thanks in advance.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Change portfolios shown in grid
July 11, 2018 at 10:33 am #195569Hi there
It is a membership site. The first part is to limit what they can see according to their membership level – which translates into a portfolio type. I can see this as being doable either by using different pages as you suggest or using some of the member shortcode if I cannot plug into the query.
Members are allowed to book items in the portfolio, which I am managing by hooking into the single portfolio template and that is working OK. I now want to limit the portfolios shown on the grid to only show those which have not been booked ( determined by a metadata field on the portfolio). This is on the top of the category filtering above.
I cannot see a method of doing the second part without hooking into the query unless there is the equivalent of the field on the carousel for inputting ids which can be changed on the fly or some way of hiding individual portfolio items in the grid.
It’s only local at present, so I cannot give you access to take a look, but your thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you
Mandy

July 11, 2018 at 10:32 am #195568Hi Kevin, no when you compare boxed with site-wide there is no difference.
I would like the post section narrower and keep the header and footer the same width and make the side panel wider to take up the slack from the post narrowing
