In reply to: Footer disappeared
AnonymousAugust 15, 2024 at 9:18 am #290883Hi there,
That is odd indeed.
Your footer wouldn’t be removed by removing a footer widget like the Copyright widget.
Have you checked if it is something caching related?
If you are using are caching plugin and a CDN service like Cloudflare, try to also check if the issue is not caching related by clearing all your cache: https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/knowledge-base/troubleshooting/clearing-your-website-cache/
Try this.
– Deactivate and delete Kadence theme.
– Clear your cache and reinstall using the latest version.
– See if the issue persists. Are you using custom CSS? If you are, can you verify you did haven’t accidentally hidden it using CSS?
Also, can you send us a link to your website where we can see the issue?
Let us know how we could help you further.

August 13, 2024 at 3:30 pm #290856Hi Sandy,
I’m glad you reached out. I’d be happy to help.
As of now, with, you can add a row layout with 6 columns. You can add gallery(adv) in footer widget and set the carousel mode, it will allow you to show upto 8 columns. Check the screencast for reference: https://share.zight.com/2NuoJm2x
You can check the documentation here: https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-blocks/advanced-gallery-block/
I hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist you further.

It looks like I can create a row layout with only 6 columns, and I couldn’t find a way to configure 8 items in the footer widgets.
Any suggestions
In forum: Kadence ThemeTopic: Footer disappeared
I’m using Kadence Free Theme. After installation I deleted the Copyright text of the footer section so that I can begin working from a blank page.
Now I want to add a new footer, but in Customizer I can only move widgets and other elements to the different rows, but they won’t show on the page. I can’t select the footer on the page and tried everything to bring back the footer or select it on the page via the Customizer, but it disappeared.
Is there any possibility to bring the footer back? Thanks for help!

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Widget not found!
Hi there,
Glad you reached out, happy to help.
It appears like your header is trying to display a widget that either doesn’t exist or has been removed.
Can you confirm if you have the classic widget plugin activated on your website? If you do, kindly deactivate the plugin and see if the Widget not found! text is still showing.
To further troubleshoot this:
1. Clear your website cache:
https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/clearing-your-website-cache/
2. Temporarily disable all Non-Kadence plugins to see if the issue persists. If the widget not found text does not display, reactivate the Non-Kadence plugins one by one to identify any conflicts.See more troubleshooting steps:

In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Mega menu dropdown background not transparent
August 5, 2024 at 11:13 pm #290732Hi John,
Try to change the Dropdown Shadow color to transparent or remove the opacity in Customizer > Header > Navigation widget > Dropdown Options. Here’s a video for reference: https://share.zight.com/wbuxR7Jn
That setting will apply this CSS code to your site:
.header-navigation .header-menu-container ul ul.sub-menu, .header-navigation .header-menu-container ul ul.submenu { box-shadow: 0px 2px 13px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); }Here’s how it should look: https://share.zight.com/jkupzZnl
Let me know how it goes.

July 24, 2024 at 2:52 pm #290610Hi There,
I’m glad you reached out. I’d be happy to help.
I tried to recreate the issue you mentioned by checking posts and pages images with Yoast SEO, but couldn’t replicate it. You can refer to the screencast for reference:https://share.zight.com/04u8Xww7
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:
- Yoast SEO sometimes requires the image to be within the main content area to recognize the alt text. Ensure your images are placed within the content editor and not via custom fields or external widgets.
- Double-check that all your images have alt texts set in the Media Library.
- Ensure both the Kadence theme, plugins and the Yoast SEO plugin are up-to-date.
- Navigate to Yoast SEO settings and ensure that the image SEO settings are configured correctly.
Could you please provide me with the exact URL of the page, so I can take a closer look?
You can share the website URL by setting your response as a private reply.

ArchitaIn forum: Kadence ThemeHi Kadence Support Team,
I’d like to insert a language switcher in my header. Either in the menu or in the top row of the header.
I have a shortcode for the language switcher. But I can’t insert it in the Hearder! I can’t figure out how to insert this shortcode in the menu, nor how to insert a widget shortcode in the top row of the header!
On the other hand, I can implement the shortcode in the sidebar and footer.
But I want to insert the language switcher in the Header. Can you please help me achieve this?
If you can tell me how to do it in both situations (menu & top row) that would be great.
Thank you very much,
In forum: Kadence ThemeJuly 21, 2024 at 9:07 am #290572As far as I can see, Kadence only offers a single sidebar option. I’ve got the sidebar set up on the right, with an intro widget and ads. I’d like to add a sticky Table of Contents on the left side, but I can’t see how to do that.
If I add it to the existing sidebar, it messes up the ad placement (sticky ads so that conflicts with the sticky ToC).
What are other people doing for adding ToC to their content? My posts are long so it’s worth having the ToC and having it separately looks really clean on other sites. I can’t see another option beyond giving up a lucrative ad spot.In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Change the Theme on a Live Site?
July 19, 2024 at 8:08 am #290542Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
Switching to a different WordPress theme does not remove the existing data. However, kindly keep in mind that there are specific shortcodes or functions from a theme that don’t work on other themes. For example, if a content is displayed using a shortcode that’s exclusive to your current theme, changing to a different theme would break it.
Additionally, changing to a different theme overrides the widgets, menus, and customizer settings, so the overall look of your website may change.
I suggest changing your theme in a staging site. Once you are done adjusting things, you can upload the staging copy to replace the live site.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

ChitoIn forum: Kadence ThemeJuly 12, 2024 at 2:53 pm #290473Hello! Setting up a homepage for the first time can be challenging, but it sounds like you’re making great progress! Regarding your issue, it might be worth checking if the external website’s widget code is conflicting with other elements on your page. Sometimes scripts in the head or body can cause issues if they’re not properly loaded or if there are conflicts.
Make sure you’re placing the custom HTML block in the correct section of your page. If you’re still having trouble, consider reaching out to Kadence support or checking their documentation for any specific instructions on embedding external widgets.
On a different note, if you’re looking for some downtime after all that website setup, I highly recommend the LokLok APK app. It’s a fantastic app for watching and sharing videos, perfect for a relaxing break. You can download the LokLok APK and enjoy a vast library of movies and shows. It’s been a great way for me to unwind after working on my own projects. Best of luck with your homepage setup!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: how to add instagram on my homepage
July 4, 2024 at 3:27 am #290319Hello @susiyana
It is necessary to include an Instagram feed widget rather than just a social media connection symbol. Look for widgets and plugins for Instagram feeds that work with the platform of your website. With most of these solutions, you can put a live feed of your most recent posts directly into your webpage and verify your Instagram account.
In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Kadence mobile menu column for adjacent menu items?
July 4, 2024 at 12:38 am #290316Hi TomH,
The Off Canvas area is intended to show the widgets vertically.
You can try adding this custom CSS in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS to change the display property of the first 3 items in the Off Canvas area:
.mobile-drawer-content .site-header-item:nth-of-type(1), .mobile-drawer-content .site-header-item:nth-of-type(2), .mobile-drawer-content .site-header-item:nth-of-type(3) { display: inline-flex; padding: 5px; }Here’s a screen recording for reference: https://share.zight.com/Z4uNNe4k
Let us know how it goes, we’ll be more than happy to help.

June 7, 2024 at 2:02 am #289009Hi @270378,
Thanks for writing in.
The bottom margin comes from the footer row’s Widget Spacing. See screenshot: https://share.zight.com/12ulPBNL
Each footer row has that setting.
Hope this helps, and let me know how I can assist further.

ChitoIn forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Strange margins inside footer widgets
June 7, 2024 at 1:42 am #289007It sounds like you’re having an issue with unexpected margins in your footer widgets. This can often be caused by conflicting CSS styles or padding/margin settings within your theme or a specific widget.
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix this issue:
Inspect Element: Use your browser’s developer tools (usually accessed by right-clicking on the page and selecting “Inspect” or “Inspect Element”) to see the CSS applied to the footer widgets. Look for any unusual margin or padding values.
Check Theme Settings: If you’re using a theme, check the theme settings for any specific footer widget margin or padding options. Adjust these settings as needed.
Custom CSS: You can override the existing styles by adding custom CSS. For instance, if you find that a specific class is adding unwanted margins, you can add custom CSS to set the margins to zero or any other value that fits your design. Here’s an example:
css
Copy code
.your-footer-widget-class {
margin: 0 !important;
padding: 10px; /* Adjust as necessary */
}
Replace .your-footer-widget-class with the actual class name of your footer widget.Widget Settings: Some widgets might have their own settings for margins and padding. Check the settings of each widget in your footer to ensure there are no extra margins or padding applied.
Theme/Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, plugins or theme customizations can cause conflicts. Disable your plugins one by one to see if any of them are causing the issue.
For more detailed guidance on setting up and customizing your website, you might find resources on business website development helpful. For example, if you’re looking to set up a professional website related to business services, i found this one “https://businessesforsale.ae/businesses-for-sale-dubai” for my initial developing career, you can check out businessesforsale.ae. They provide comprehensive listings and resources that might also include valuable website management tips

In forum: Kadence ThemeHi!
I added a widget to the footer. I added three Text(Adv) to it with a selection of the DIV element. Inside the DIV I just added the text “123”.A margin has appeared at the bottom of each DIV element (except the last one). How to reduce it? When I add a DIV, I expect it to have no margins… Yes, it’s actually the parent SECTION that has margins, not the DIV, but that doesn’t actually change things. I am attaching a video.
*Login to see linkYes, I can write in custom CSS, for example, like this:
.site-footer-top-section-1 section {margin-bottom:0 !important}
But of course I would like to do this using the admin panel. Is this possible? I just didn’t find it…Thank you in advance!

In forum: Membership ForumsIn forum: Kadence ThemeHi there!
I’d be happy to help you with this.
You can add this to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:
footer .widget-area ul { list-style: none; padding-left: 0; margin-left: 0; }This is how it should work – https://share.zight.com/rRuD6zeR
Also, if you do not need the bullets, use Paragraph blocks instead of the List block.
I hope this helps, and let me know if I can help you further.
