Topic: Pinnacle Carousel
Hello
When I add the Pinnacle Carousel as a widget and I set it up for any of the option whether it is images or products it doesn’t seem to display in the page.
Here is the link of the example: *Login to see link
You can see at the bottom of the post that only this code appears:
[carousel type=best-products items=6 orderby=menu_order columns=3 scroll=1 fullwidth=standard]Please advise on what am I doing wrong.

In forum: Ascend ThemeHi, Ben, thank you for responding. Sorry for the delay.
We began imputing some. On the website, the categories are listed in the footer, using Virtual Editor and columns.
We want a visitor to be able to click on the topic they want to read and then be taken to the page listing all posts relative to that particular category.
We tried using the List Category widget, but it just lists them in one column. Not what we are looking for.
Hope that helps.
Thank you,
PamHi,
We have created a list of topics in footer. It gives us the clean look we’re look for. The Category Widget wouldn’t allow us to place in 6 columns. I will give you the link so you can see what I mean.
If there is another way to accomplish this look, please share. Otherwise, I fear that we will have to create a page for each topic and create a shortcode. <grimace>
Your thoughts?
Thank you,
PamLink in separate post. 😉

Hey,
1. You can do this with some css. Which icon are you wanting to use? http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium/icons/2. This explains forcing your products to two columns in mobile:

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Nested Blocks
Sorry, I guess I’m not making myself clear. I don’t want a minimum height, I want a maximum or exact height, like the SiteOrigin Hero. It has an option called “height”, under “Design and Layout” (yet, it is still scaleable) I’d like all 8 photos in four rows of two columns all to be the same height. I seem to have some control over width, although I’m not sure I can get it exact either, but I don’t seem to find any control over the height of a row. I’ve uploaded two screenshots, one with the new Blocks and our current site (www.cagesplus.com) using SiteOrigin Hero.
So, again, can I add a rows (or multiple rows, e.g. a table) so that all the rows and columns have the same height?
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Nested Blocks
I see can add columns. But can I add rows together as one block? It seems each row is independent from the previous one. How can I add more than one row in a block? Or how do I control the height of each row, so they are what I want, not what it defaults to? Some of my pictures are of different sizes and in one row, the left hand picture, for example, is shorter than the right hand picture, for a 2 column row. When I add another row, the height of that row is not the same as the previous row. Any way to get the row height controlled? It seems the width has some control over it, but I can’t see how to control the row height.
Thanks. /Bob
In forum: Ascend ThemeSeptember 20, 2019 at 5:29 pm #237848Hey David,
It looks like you intend to set a max-width for your content instead of adding 6 columns that will resize at the defined size.
If you can edit that second row, remove your first and last column. Just have 4 columns. Then click on the “edit row” and in the right sidebar you can add css. Add
max-width: 1140px; margin-right:auto; margin-left:auto;Then go into your custom css and remove this custom css you added:
.custom-html-widget { max-width: 200px; } .custom-html-widget { min-width: 200px; }In forum: Ascend ThemeThe text has to elongate on smaller screens in order to fit the window. This is why I suggested decreasing the number of columns for smaller screens. If the text stayed the same width it would fall off the side of the screen. Does that make sense? Sorry if I’m still misunderstanding…

In forum: Membership ForumsWhen set to 3 items and 3 columns for the screen width, the 3rd item gets bumped to the next line on IE11/Windows 10. This seems to occur at various screen resolutions. Chrome displays them correctly. Wondering if there’s some fallback CSS that would help IE11 along. If I change the 33% width to 32.2%, it allows the third item to remain on the same line as the first two. We’re still not quite where we can stop supporting that browser as MS is still supporting it.

September 20, 2019 at 11:47 am #237826Hey,
You would use the “row layout” block, you can add columns, then place your image overlay blocks into each.Ben
In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Nested Blocks
I’m starting to look at the new Gutenberg block editor. (Ok, I tend to wait for the dust to settle). I’m running WordPress 5.2.3. I also have Kadence Pro Blocks and am a premium member. I have been using the SiteOrigin PageBuilder for quite some time. Actually I haven’t made changes for a couple of years now. On my home page I have a sets of rows. The second row setting is with 2 columns and within each column are 4 rows, hence something that looks like a 2×4 table, in which are SiteOrigin Hero boxes. (The “SiteOrigin Hero” looks a lot like the new “Image Overlay Block” in your Kadence Pro Blocks plugin. Although I admit the Image Overlay Block seems quite a bit easier to use.) What I want to do is imitate my home page using Blocks. How can I get a “2×4 table”, in which I put an Image Overlay block in each cell? I didn’t see where I could nest blocks easily, which it seems based on my current layout, is what I need, unless there is some other way to do it.
I’ve attached a screenshot of my home page which was built using SiteOrigin Pagebuilder.
If you want to see the layout and images I’m talking about see: http://www.cagesplus.com and scroll down a bit.
Thanks. /Bob DeCloss
In forum: Ascend ThemeHey David,
Try adding this to your custom css box in Theme Options > Custom CSS:.custom-html-widget p { margin: 10px 10px !important; }That will remove some of the extra margin. If you want I can provide css to change the number of columns for tablets. Let me know!

September 19, 2019 at 4:46 pm #237762It’s your theme, it’s preventing the columns from being saved in the admin. If I activate another theme, save the gallery then it works just fine.
Even if you go back and reactivate your previous theme.

September 19, 2019 at 4:03 pm #237755The output is showing that a column selection isn’t set. Can you make sure you are setting the columns? Can you post a login so I can see your settings?

September 17, 2019 at 1:50 pm #237623The theme options change size based on the columns you set.
Regardless you should always use the larger size.

September 17, 2019 at 9:47 am #237586Hi,
I have a question regarding the image sizes for profucts. If I don’t use the theme’s image sizes but rather enter my own in the customizer settings, I am unsure what sizes should be chosen since image sizes will depend on screen size. For example: On desktop, my main product image on the product detail page will have a certain width, but on mobile it will be LARGER because image and product summary will be collapsed underneath each other, so the image actually now takes up more space then on desktop. the same applies to shop archive pages: On desktop, I might have 3 columns and each image might be let’s say 400px, but on cell phone there is only ONE column meaning each image will be larger then 400px. So what sies should be entered? Always the largest size a particular image can have?In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeSeptember 16, 2019 at 12:23 pm #237555Hey,
1. I’ll put this request in my update list.2. Changing images crop sizes for different devices isn’t an option. I suggest you use a blog grid output instead:
[blog_grid columns="3" items="20" orderby="date" cat="some-category"]Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Center Footer Columns
Hello,
I found this posting about centering the footer columns in the Virtue support forum (*Login to see link and I added the code to my Advanced Settings:
footer#containerfooter {
text-align: center;
}
.virtue_social_widget.clearfix {
display: flex;
align-items: center;
justify-content: center;
}
.footermenu {
float: none !important;
margin-right: auto !important;
margin-left: auto !important;
}
.footercredits.clearfix {
display: inline-flex;
flex-direction: column;
width: 100%;
}
.footernav.clearfix {
display: flex;
}It centers everything but the menu, which is still left justified. How can I center that for mobile?
You can see what I mean at *Login to see link
Thanks,
Jim
