Hi
Please see my replies below:
1. In your Kadence Slider settings do you have “Respect Image Aspect Ratio” turned on?
No. I am sharing the settings used below. Please refer to the attached images (4 nos).2. Again, I’m not seeing this. What browser are you using? Can you confirm your browser is not zoomed in?
I disabled the banner earlier as there was a spill over in mobile devices. Please see now. I am enabling it for your reference. I am using Mozilla Firefox browser. My browser is not zoomed in.
Website link: https://www.wildlifeconservationtrust.org/Please view the website in a mobile device too. You will notice the spillover in the Homepage slider (top slider). Kadence slider looks fine on the desktop.
Thanks
YogiIn forum: Kadence ThemeTopic: Cookie Banner
April 8, 2022 at 11:21 am #271971Hi,
I’m currently building a company website (based in Germany) with Kadence Blocks Pro and the Kadence Theme. I will use Google Analytics for some tracking purposes. I’m a layman and couldn’t find a clear result in the forum search, so forgive me for the basic question:
Do you have recommendations for a Cookie Banner/Consent tool? I’m not sure what exactly I’ll need, and I also don’t know how to compare various tools. Or is there even a built-in way to have a cookie banner without an external plug-in?
Thanks a lot!

Hi Hannah,
The website link is: https://www.wildlifeconservationtrust.org/
However, I have the Kadence banner presently (due to the error reported).
Should I enable it? Or does the screenshot I have shared suffice?
I observe several errors after moving to Block editor (including the above).
Another one is here: https://www.wildlifeconservationtrust.org/get-involved/donate/
Upon scrolling down you will notice alignment issue with the form at “Billing details”. Any suggestions to fix this?
Thanks,
YogiIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
When I try to use the Kadence Pro banner it does not adapt itself to mobile device. Please see attached screenshot.
Seems fine on desktop however.
This error has been noticed post migration to Block editor. No such error observed in Classic editor. Is that even possible?
Thanks
YogiIn forum: Kadence ThemeTopic: Announcement Banner
February 24, 2022 at 8:33 pm #270678I am trying to add an announcement banner to my site either on top of my sticky transparent header on scroll, OR even as a sicky on the bottom of the screen.
Obviously, the easy way to do this would be to adjust my header, add a top row, and add text. However, I already used the HTML item to add my phone number to the header, so I am unable to use it again for an announcement on top of the header nav.
I have attempted to use plugins to add this, but they either do not scroll with my sticky banner, or if positions at the bottom of the screen, are broken on mobile, instead covering my mobile nav.
Does anyone have any recommendations to help?

In forum: Kadence ThemeTopic: Cookies used by Kadence
February 20, 2022 at 5:32 pm #270596Hello.
Can someone shed some light on the cookies used by Kadence?
I’ve been running into an issue with a whole bunch of cookies, which seem to be from Kadence (Blocks or theme).
Further information about the issue can be found here:
*Login to see linkHow are you guys handling all these cookies in a cookie banner, as it is required in so many jurisdictions these days?

In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Image Focal Point
January 6, 2022 at 4:36 pm #269798I deactivated and uninstalled the plugin. But one of the pages was this one. By “banner” I mean the image underneath the title of the page, the header image.
I attached two screenshots. One is what the header image looks like on my page at this moment. The other is what the full image is. If I upload the full image as my featured image, then the dirt at the bottom half is what shows up in the header. It doesn’t show the fire tower or the flag or the mountains. When I had WP Smart Crop installed I set the focal point to be the fire tower, but it still only showed the dirt. So I deleted the image and replaced it with a version that I cropped prior to uploading; I made it 3:2 and cut off the whole bottom part. That’s the reason it currently shows correctly. But I don’t like it because 1) on mobile, I want the full sized vertical image to show, not the cropped 3:2 version, and 2) it looks very grainy and stretched on desktop right now, not very good quality (though maybe that will still be a problem either way since the width wouldn’t change even if I could set the focal point).

January 6, 2022 at 4:28 pm #269797Can you post a link? I’m not sure what image you are referencing when you say banner image, if you are adding an image as a row background you would set the focal point in the row itself.

January 6, 2022 at 4:25 pm #269796Hi Ben,
When I installed WP Smart Crop I could see how to use it to edit the focal point, but the effect didn’t take. After setting my focal point, I tried clearing my cache and everything but still my banner image at the top of my page would not center on the designated spot. It was showing the dirt on the ground instead of the building that is supposed to be the focal point.
In forum: Kadence ThemeHi there,
I’m creating an alert bar to appear above the header using Hooked Elements but there’s a margin appearing between it and the header, but I can’t figure out how to remove it so that the yellow alert bar is flush above the green bar of the header. I’ve scoured the documentation and forum but no luck – can you help?
Here’s the site.
Many thanks and happy Friday!

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Font color in dropdown menu on hover
Hello,
Thank you for the link.
To change the dropdown menu item colors on hover, you can add this in Theme Options > Custom CSS:
#kad-banner .kad-primary-nav ul.sf-menu ul li a:hover { color: #000000; }After saving the changes, please make sure to purge any caching you may have.
Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.
Best Regards,
KarlaIn forum: Membership ForumsIn reply to: Using webp images?
October 13, 2021 at 7:51 pm #268416As one of the users of “old” Safari browsers (2011 MacBook Pro running Sierra), I can attest it’s an annoyance for end users. While most sites & software keep including the older OS versions as they update, many have reached the point where either 1. it’s no longer possible to include all the older versions due to actual hardware or OS restrictions or 2. they stopped caring and are focusing on more recent versions only.
It’s something I noticed earlier this year and it’s gradually worsening. More and more sites no longer load correctly – or at all – when I use Safari (my main browser). However, even on the older OS, Chrome remains up to date and those sites load & operate fine. Not sure if they’re using webp images though… I’ve simply started using Chrome for most of my website work. Even my WordPress dashboard has been giving me issues recently in Safari!
Personally, I know I’m using an older Macbook – and I don’t expect websites to include my version forever. We know it’s inevitable, and merely hope that our favourite sites keep working until we can finally afford to update. But I don’t think the effort involved would be worth it to benefit such a small percentage of users – especially when there are other browsers that continue to work.
I’d suggest that client try using Chrome instead. And perhaps add about a banner on your site set to display on older browsers with a message that due to outdated software, the site may not load as intended and suggest using a different browser?
In forum: Kadence ThemeOctober 6, 2021 at 7:55 am #268243Hi Guys!
I am having a weird issue with Kadence. I was using AdInserter before changing to Kadence with no problem, hence I am certain the issue is with the theme and how CSS is interpreted by Kadence. I’m just not very good with CSS or HTML so I’m hoping one of you can help.
My problem is, that I’m trying to use ‘custom’ banner ads, with the format of a href - img
I then select center align in adinserter and it will wrap the whole thing into a DIV, with style text-align:center
Now this code does not center my banner ad, like it did on the previous theme (it DOES center the ‘Advertisements’ text however)
I can get the ad centered if I manually define the height + width dimensions, BUT that makes it too big for mobile. I tried with width=100% that does not center the banner. I have also tried with width=50% which in fact centers the banner ad, however it makes it 50% smaller, practically useless for mobile.I’m just lost on how to actually center this, I can have additional manual CSS in AdInserter, so if anyone can advise on something that would be amazing.

Hey Pedro,
I was able to get pretty close with CSS. However, the CSS may need a bit more work depending on what you think. Hopefully it’s close enough to point you in the right direction!
@media (max-width: 992px) {
#kad-mobile-banner #mobile-logo a {
min-width: 100px;
}
div#kad-mobile-banner {
display: flex;
flex-direction: row-reverse;
}
.kad-mobile-header-height {
width: 100%;
}
div#mobile-logo {
padding-right: 5%;
}
}Does that get the look you’re after?
Thanks,

I found how to remove the page title in order to remove this image banner, thank you!
On the other hand I do not understand why there is a space between the top of the site and the background image of my second line … see on the “test home page 2”
Thanks 😉In forum: Kadence ThemeTopic: Headband from nowhere
Hello,
Used to Virtue and Ascend themes with the “page builder” from siteorigin, I try to switch to the kadence theme with gutenberg … Not easy to change!I loaded a template and duplicated the homepage layout on another page I created. On this page, at the time of publication, I have a banner (image) which is displayed at the very top, while I do not have a block in my page.
I see that this banner is displayed on the other pages of the site, (except the home page), but this banner appears well in the construction of these pages, (not only on the display).
This reminds me of Ascend’s “page title” which allows you to put a banner on all pages that have this parameter.
The site I created is currently not accessible, I will give you an id to connect.
THanks for your aid !
