Hey,
1. Theme options > menu settings. Secondary menu… you can change the item amount to 7.

2. So if you create a feature page (using the feature template) then you uploaded an image while editing that page it creates a attachment in wordpress. So if you removed the featured image but didn’t change your page template or replace the image it would show the attachment image because while using a feature template it first looks for a featured image then looks for attached images. So if you can replicate have you tried just switching the page template?

3. Have you looked at the docs: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#featurepage

A simple rundown.
Blog template for a blog page.
Portfolio for a portfolio page.
Contact for a contact page.
Feature for a page with a slider, image or video above the title
Feature – sidebar for the same as above except with a sidebar
Fullwidth for a normal full width page
sidebar for a page with a sidebar.

4. add this css to your custom css box in the theme options:

display:none;

So this theme uses an lot of options and it can be a lot to load on a low end server. And that is what it comes down to is your servers abiltiy to load all the content. It depends on your server and the php settings. Most likely increasing your php max memory settings would make a difference. This can’t be done on most any server by adding:

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '180M' );

To your wp-config.php file right after the define('WPLANG', ''); or editing your php settings from the cpanel.

But some low end server don’t allow this. You should contact your hosting provider and ask them about increasing your php memory limit.

My site.

I have had a few iPhone users try but not an Andriod user yet. My menu links (Portfolio, Blog, About, Contact) are below the blog site title. iPhone users do not see those links. Once again, I’m going through all the theme choices and also the WordPress options but I’m not seeing anything obvious. I have looked at another site that uses this theme and that site has the word “menu” shown, on an iPhone and when clicked it opens up a menu of choices/links.

What am I doing wrong? 🙂

OK it is working when I paste this on the forum but not on my contact page… I want to be able to display the email address, rather than ’email me’ text

I want a potential client to be able to click on the email link there and then so they can email me using their phone, tablet or browser. However at the moment they are having to copy and paste the email address at the moment, which is annyoying.

1) Can I have a full page wide map with the widget as with the contact page map=yes option? As in here http://otzshoes.fi/yhteystiedot/

Yes that is correct just add the shotcode, you can add a column for it if you like and then in the page options mark no for the contact form.

I insert shortcode [contact-form-7 id=”…” title=”…”] for the contact from 7 and I select “no” in Peage option “Use Contact Form”

How do I change the default contact form to the contact from 7 form I’ve created with the quiz you mentioned above. I’ve noticed that you still use the contact form template in the example you posted (http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-3/contact-us/) or have you rebuilt this manually in the page?

Hi Ben,

I was wondering if there’s an easy way to create full-width sections of a page that can have different background colors or images? I’m trying to create a single-page site and I’d like the different sections of the page (Portfolio, About Us, Contact Us, etc.) to have different colored backgrounds to more easily distinguish them from each other.

It seems like any content added to a page is constrained within the “container” class.

You should use contact form 7 over the theme contact form, will give you the control you want. You can use the contact page template and not use a contact form and just use the map. http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#contactpage

Hi Ben it seems to me that they have no idea what is happening with the vague useless answers. I just got an email back from them which states

Thank you for contacting us. The scan was most likely a script used to find common hacked items. It may have located a file that is no longer used. http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/carolannshen.com is a viewable scan for your benefit. Looking at it, it seems things are no longer infected.

I mean really? what sort of nonsense is this from a web hosting company to say this? I dont want to bother you with this stuff Ben all i wanted was some clarity on the files that I really need to make sure that I did not screw up the site. Can you tell me if you have heard any reports about my hosting company?
And yes i agree with you that getting into my site via jetpack would seem very unlikely, i have checked and looked for the htaccess file but I cannot find one?

./wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-ssh2.php
./wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php

I have deleted the w3 total cache plugin but the issue remains, I now cannot find the remaining 2 files, are these 2 files part of the plugin?

Server space is still different from server memory.. I would try and contact your host and see if you can change the php max memory settings in the php.ini file if they can’t do that then I would increase your php max execution time…

PS who is your host?
