I got into page, edit and then hit the insert column icon. I then select one of the radio button options and then nothing happens. I have tried from the drop down list both shortcode and visual aid but neither works.
I am trying to add two columns to my about page and would also like to do this on my contact page. On both of these pages I wish to display images in the right hand column.
Thanks,

April 18, 2014 at 12:00 am #7686Which ftp client are you using? Filzilla should let you upload folders.
I would contact dreamhost if you are having this problem, something is not right.

In forum: Virtue ThemeApril 17, 2014 at 9:34 am #7633Not with the built in contact form, for more options you can use a plugin like contact form 7 then you add it to a page like a shortcode, which would allow you to use page builder or the columns shortcodes.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeI just started working on a new site using Virtue Premium 2_3_1, what an awesome upgrade from the last version by the way. I am having an issue where I make a change in the theme options, hit save (tried twice) and then a little while while it goes back to the default setting. For example I have entered my email address in the Misc. Settings / Contact Form Email and each time it reverts back to [email protected]. Any idea why? I also notice some major slowness when navigating around the theme options. I have major delays when clicking between sections. Not sure if this my server or the theme, my other sites seem to going fine. Thanks for any help.
In forum: Virtue ThemeCleared everything unfortunately still a problem – it doesn’t happen on posts though, only the homepage and portfolio pages. On other pages like the contact page, it flashes white when you scroll to a certain point but then everything comes back without having to scroll back up.
Also if it’s just me and this problem can’t be replicated/no one else can see it then I’m not worried about it, I just don’t know how to test that.
Thanks again for all your help!

April 9, 2014 at 10:44 am #7232So what is it supposed to do? I think you are going to be much better off contacting them for support because they are going to know how this works I can only guess.

In forum: Virtue ThemeWhen I scroll back up it all appears again, and this disappearing thing happens on almost every page except the portfolio category and contact form pages it also happens on some posts and not others. I played around with adding stuff to the home page and adding ‘page content’ weirdly fixed the problem on the home page but not any other pages.
I don’t see any errors in the inspect window.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Theme options – blank pages!
March 26, 2014 at 9:43 am #6657The most likely cause is a plugin conflict, try disabling plugins first if the issue is plugin related report it on the support forms and we will look into the issue. Most likely if a plugin is causing a conflict it’s an issue out of our control as there are many badly coded plugins out there.
If you’ve tried disabling all plugins next either contact your hosting provider or login and find your php settings. It’s possible that you just need to increase your memory limit or max execution time.You can change those values using the PHP Configuration File (php.ini):
▪ php_value memory_limit = “128M”;
▪ max_execution_time = 360;
… or by modifying the WordPress PHP files (wp-settings.php):
▪ ini_set(‘memory_limit’, ’512M’);
▪ ini_set(‘max_execution_time’, 300);
Please note that it doesn’t work with some cheap web hosts, if that is the case talk to your hosting provider.Hey, above answer can be found here: https://www.kadencewp.com/frequently-asked-questions/
If disabling plugins doesn’t work send me a login via email: [email protected]Ben

March 7, 2014 at 10:01 am #5837Instead of using the contact form I would use contact form 7 plugin. It’s already styled to match the theme contact form and it will give you all the options you want and allow you to have different ones depending on the language.

March 7, 2014 at 9:53 am #5835Ahhh, you’re totally right. The feature is already there. Wonderful. Sorry for always pestering you. There is certainly a lot to this theme. I am trying to get that functionality with gallery images. I don’t believe that is supported.
Ben, I can’t seem to find an email address. Please contact me at [email protected] if you have any interest in some side work. My website is nearing completion, but I have hit a few roadblocks that will need to be overcome. Let me know your thought. Hope to hear from you,
Kevin

February 26, 2014 at 8:17 am #5229Well I would contact your host and probably ask them to update your php version, 5.3 isn’t even allowed on a lot of the big servers. And I would ask why you don’t have the mbstring extension. I’m not a server guy, I understand a lot but I think the best would be to talk with them about your set up. The only thing I can tell you is this came up once and it was a server issue, not something I can replicate or fix inside the theme.
Hope the helps,
BenIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Home Icon Menu not saving
February 26, 2014 at 8:08 am #5227Hey,
This could be a couple things, if your theme options save the first page or two of options not none after then that means your php.ini has a really low max_execution_time, and possibly a low memory_limit in the php.ini script. If you open that file on your server or contact or host you can edit that to allow a longer execution time.
If no options will save then it’s possible you have a javascript error due to a conflict with a plugin.
If it’s a javascipt error you can send me a login and I’ll take a look.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Change Titles on page, not in nav
February 23, 2014 at 6:17 pm #5106It’s a standard wordpress option, what you need to do is in the menu when you add the page just put contact into the “navigation label” for the lets talk page menu item.
