    In your settings > reading set the unselect a page to be your “post” page. (leave it blank)

    then go to the page you named “blog” and use the blog grid page template.

    Hey,
    1. In your theme options > portfolio options you can set the portfolio post page that is what is used for the grid icon link.

    2. Also in your theme options > portfolio options you can make it so those arrows stay within portfolio post type.

    Hi Ben,

    The portfolio type name “Les éphémères” ID “les-ephemeres” it’s already create when i post my question yesterday.

    But when I read my question in this forum I realize that I made a mistake in the appellation.

    I want to hide portfolio type ID “les-ephemeres” on the page name “La galerie” ID “la-galerie-2” or page ID “53” (which is a portfolio category grid page template)

    Thancks a lot for your help !!!

    1. I see the description?

    2. Looks like your adding css to hide the images, so you would need this to set the titles to have a height:

    .product-category.grid_item a h5 {
        position: static;
    }

    3. You didn’t post a link to the issue?

    Hello Nicklas,

    In Theme Options> Blog Options, find “Display Blog Grid posts at equal height.”

    Switch that to ON, and let me know if it solves your issue.

    Hi,

    Hoping someone can help me get my blog grid to be the same height.

    See how the two columns do not have the same height and as you scroll down, they are not aesthetically symmetrical? I got that it’s because the title of the posts are different lengths and are two lines vice one. How can I get my posts the same height without having to change the length of my post titles?

    Anything helps.

    Nick

    That’s right Ben. Thanks a bunch.

    portfolio posts are not designed to work and look like blog posts. They are not designed to be archived by date because they are not a type of post that is defined by date.

    You can make custom pages using the portfolio grid page template. And you can assign portfolio posts to types that you yourself define as dates but there isn’t a type of widget that will make a portfolio posts type turn into a blog post type.

    You are targeting the portfolio post grid right? Not galleries I understand that you can already control the sizes in galleries.

    Hi, I want to show the latest portfolio posts in the homepage, So I made a new page, set the template to “Portfolio grid”.
    Now the page shows normally with all the posts in it.

    However, After selecting it as homepage under “Settings > Reading”, No content show on homepage.
    “page content” under “theme options > page layout” is enabled too.

    I tried entering text in the editor and it’s showing just fine.
    So only templates don’t work on homepage? Any idea what could be causing this? Thank you!

    Hi,

    On our site an author will create a post – and the post is displayed on other pages of the site based on its category (using the blog grid template). The post excerpts are no longer displaying for the posts that were created with Pinnacle split content. This was working beautifully several weeks ago. Am I missing something?

    Here’s where it’s working:

    Here’s where some of the posts are missing the excerpts:

    Thanks,
    Katherine

    In each portfolio post you can assign what page should be the link in the grid box. Check your portfolio post options.

    Hi Ben,

    I don´t know the right function but I tried to edit the themes (child) functions.php with the following lines:

    <?php
    // add your custom functions here

        /* Set & create additional image sizes */
        /* set_post_thumbnail_size( 150, 150, true ); // default square thumbnail */
        add_image_size( 'Test_1140x760_w', 1140, 760, true ); // testsize 1 landscape
        add_image_size( 'Test_1140x760_h', 760, 1140, true ); // testsize 1 portrait
        add_image_size( 'Test_kd_267x400', 267, 400, true ); // test 2
        add_image_size( 'Test_kd_840x560', 840, 560, true ); // custom grid landscape
        add_image_size( 'Test_kd_560x840', 560, 840, true ); // custom grid portrait
        add_image_size( 'WP_medium_large_w', 768, 512, true ); // WP responsive medium_large landscape
        add_image_size( 'WP_medium_large_h', 768, 1152, true ); // WP responsive medium_large portrait

    And this is the corresponding option panel of ImageMagick Engine after editing:

    ImageMagick Settings

    All the sizes I added to functions.php are generated by the Imagick app properly. So if a theme defines all sizes in functions.php, it will work. Perhaps it´s possible to enter all sizes Pinnacle uses here? For me it´s trial and error.

    This is the summary of my internet search:
    Since WP 4.5 Imagick is the standard image editor in WP but you have to have Imagick app and the php-module (PECL) installed on your server. If not WP falls back to GD-Image editor with all major drawbacks like stripping off IPTC/EXIF-metadata and ICC-profile.
    In contrast to the first statement of my hoster´s support, I don´t have php-module installed but Imagick app and I can only reach it by command-line. It´s far beyond my skills to implement that and ImageMagick Engine is the only plugin I found that enables the ImageMagick command-line but it isn´t maintained anymore. Here is a good post published one day after I started this thread about just the same problem:
    WordPress | Keep EXIF IPTC Metadata | Resized Images

    I hope you can help. The last possibility is to look for a new hoster.

    Thank´s a lot for your great support,
    Dirk

    Create three pages for your categories.

    Use the portfolio grid template and set the pages to only pull portfolio posts from those categories.

    In each portfolio post you make you can assign a “parent” page that the grid would lead to. So in each portfolio post set the grid page that applies the the category of your portfolio.

    Hi,

    I would like to have the same portofolio navigation like this :

    In this site there is 3 portofolios :

    Casual
    Business
    Shoes

    when you are in a single post/product and you want to return on the category you click on grid navigation and you stay on the category, not go in the link in every portfolio post.

    Sorry for my english … thank you for your help

    I’m using the blog grid template on my blog page. They are no all equally lined up. How do I turn off the masonry feature so that all the posts are lined up and equally spaced? Thanks.

    #108091

    I’ve tried adjusting settings for the blog page, through theme options, but it doesn’t seem to work. For instance, I had it set for Blog Grid, and to now show archive and recent posts in the sidebar. To not show the sidebar at all, actually. But, the blog page still looks the same, seems to have a mind of its own.
    Any idea how I can fix this?

    Thank you!

    Hi Hannah,

    I didn’t pay attention to this button till now. It is a great tool, thank you. I used it on the test page https://www.setthings.com/en/0-2/ but i do not know why the post do not extend on all width, see it on the test page. I used the shortcode [blog_grid orderby=date items=1 columns=1 cat=category]
