    In Theme Options> Portfolio Settings> Portfolio Category Pages, find “Choose how many portfolio items show on portfolio catagory pages.” Your setting there should determine how many posts appear on your portfolio category page.

    Hope that helps!

    Hey,
    This would be a tricky setup since this isn’t how wordpress is designed so you would kind of have to make this up a bit and for each post you would have to manually add some of the linking. So if your looking for an automated way to do something like this I don’t know of one inside wordpress.

    Your first thing would be to make your main blog show only “main blog” categories.. to do that you would need to make one parent category. Call it whatever you like but it would need to be the parent for all your main blog categories. Then in the blog page you would need to choose to show only that main parent category. That would keep your mini posts from showing on the main blog. This of course means that all your mini posts would be in a separate parent category from your main posts.

    Then in each blog post where you would want mini posts to show or in each mini post where you would want the main post to show, you would have to add in the link. So you could add a carousel using the carousel widget and link that to a mini category. Or just add an image with a link to the main category in your mini post. Thats as close as I can think to the kind of setup your talking about.

    Hi Walter,
    If I’m understanding correctly you can do this using a shortcode like this: [kad_blog orderby=date items=1 fullpost=false cat=events]
    Just paste that into the visual editor of your homepage and ensure that page content is enabled in Theme Options > Home Layout.
    Hope that works for you!

    Can you post a link to where you are seeing this extra image?

    You can add a flex slider into the page content using pagebuilder. Just add a “virtue: gallery” widget and in there you can select a slider option.

    see here: https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder-virtue-premium/

    Hey John,
    This isn’t an error with a plugin. You need to fix your php.ini file. Sounds like your using a newer version of php then what your php.ini file was originally created with so you just need to update it like the error says To avoid this warning set ‘always_populate_raw_post_data’ to ‘-1’ in php.ini and use the php://input stream instead.

    This should be something your host can help you with.

    Hi Ben,

    I am using a plugin, WC Vendors Pro, and whenever I go to form (e.g. the vendor application form) of this plugin, the sidebar is being pushed to the bottom.

    Before posting my question here, I browsed on their support forum and they claim that the sidebars are not controlled by their plugin. It is controlled by the theme and Woocommerce.

    Can you please let me know what to do to keep the sidebar on the side when the forms are called up.

    Here is the link in case you want to take a look at. http://www.ckingsensors.com/ckingbuynsell
    If you register and apply to become a vendor, the application form appears on the page and pushes the sidebar to the bottom.

    Thanks for the help,
    Jay

    Hi Hannah, hi Ben,

    @ Hannah: I just set the post summary to “portrait picture” (it is called portrait bild in German) and it works…!

    @ Ben: Yes, I am using modern tribe events calendar

    Thanks to both of you – I have another problem, but I’m going to open a new thread…

    Hello Ben and Hannah,

    I’ve contacted my host again and it looks like the problem is solved at the moment!
    All I’ve done was to change the setting in W3 Total. There was an error message when I enabled the minify, so that was disabled and the page cache setting was changed from disk: Enhanced to APC. After that, my site got super fast!

    Thank you so much for the time and patience you have! (I don’t know how many forum topics from the past that helped me.)
    I’ll donate through the link you posted in “support policy”.

    The home page in question is

    The home page is defined as static, but we’d like to give it a bit of dynamism by having the Next Event announcement appear on it and change from time to time. I want the announcement to appear under the green heading “Next Event”.

    There seem to be a dozen ways to do this. Whichever way, it must be very simple for users who know nothing about WordPress.

    For blog entries I have created categories called “Blog”, “Events” and “Home”, on the simplistic idea that a blog entry will appear on the pages that have names the same as the blog category. Works for my pages named Blog and Events, but not for the home page.

    I thought maybe the user creates a new blog entry, assigns it the category of “Home”, and this appears on the home page. Doesn’t work. If I redefine the home page as a blog, the picture and text disappear and we have only a blog posting.

    At the moment we want only ONE blog entry to appear on the home page.

    Can this be done? I’ve found various old entries in the forum that seem relevant but I’m unable to combine them into a solution. Sorry.

    Thanks for your help.

    1.

    .woocommerce-message .button {
        background: #000 !important;
    }

    2. In Theme Options > Topbar Settings set Show Cart total in topbar? to On.

    3.

    .post-type-archive-product h1.page-title {
        display: none !important;
    }

    Hope that helps!

    Hi,
    1. What url are you pasting in the icon link tab? Make sure you are including the entire url.

    2. If you use the latest blog posts setting from Theme Options > Home Layout you can set an excerpt word count under Home Blog Settings. If you have your homepage set as a latest post page you would need to set a custom excerpt for each post. This can be done from the individual post edit page[s].

    Hope that helps!

    Hey Samuel,
    I think the issue is that you can’t switch back and forth with pagebuilder within one page/post. You would need to start over. Sorry.

    Where are you seeing this? Can you post a link?

    Nothing in the theme that I can think of would be tripping a firewall. I need more information about your setup to guess. I have no one else reporting this issue.

    Posting a login would help,

    Hey,
    The shortcode is not supposed to effect the home portfolio full settings.

    It it supposed to create it’s own grid.

    You would have to change the js to effect the shortcode and one line in the shortcode. For the JS

    change this line: $('#portfoliowrapper-home').isotopeb({ filter: '.photobooths' });

    to this:
    $('#portfoliowrapper-homeshortcode').isotopeb({ filter: '.photobooths' });

    Then in your shortocode change from this:
    [portfolio_posts columns="4" items="50"]

    to this:

    [portfolio_posts columns="4" items="50" id="homeshortcode"]

    Ben
