Hello Ben and Hannah,

I’ve recently purchased the “Product Gallery Slider” plugin from WooCommerce (*Login to see link but can’t get it to work with the Virtue theme.

When the plugin is activated, the product images appear for a split second on the product detail page, and then disappear. I’ve tried playing around with the image options: setting a global aspect ratio, defining specific pixel dimensions, hard cropping and regenerating thumbnails, but haven’t been able to produce any results.

I then contacted the plugin developer, who told me “The plugin is designed to be friendly to all themes, but your theme has quite a few template overrides, which could be the source of the problem.” He then recommended trying the Twenty Fifteen theme as well as disabling plugins one by one to figure out what’s causing the problem.

Disabling plugins didn’t change anything, but the Product Gallery Slider plugin did work when using the standard Twenty Fifteen theme. I’d be grateful if you guys could take a look.

I’m aware that this issue might be beyond the support you offer on the forums, especially since we’re dealing with a third party plugin. But perhaps all that’s needed is a simple tweak or one line of code. However, if a fix is more complicated than that, please let me know and I will request a refund from the plugin developer.

Right, I see what you mean!! Now, I’d just like to have the title shrink so it fits better on mobile. Can you assist me with this?

Check out this: https://www.kadencewp.com/background-image-sizing/

You want the image to match the height of your page title, else you will loose the look.. For example add this css:

#pg-311-0 .siteorigin-panels-stretch {
    background-size: contain !important;
    background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
}

You should see what I mean. You don’t want images to be set to contain (so you can see all the image) because you will have empty areas, your setting a background image.

One thing you might consider is using a different image ratio so it’s set up better for mobile.

When looking at your site.. you have added this css:

.blog_carousel .blog_item {
    border: 10px solid #eee;
    border-color: rgba(0,0,0,.05);
    list-style: none;
    position: relative;
    height: auto;
    min-height: 281px!important;
}

That min-height: 281px!important; is your issue. Remove that.

Hi,

Could you please help me regarding following:

1) I have used Style 3 of Virtue theme. And I had there “Featured Products”, which I enjoyed. For some reasons I removed WooCommerce and then installed that back, but “Featured Products” disappeared, and now there it is not available in Home Page Layout Manager. Could you please tell me how can I get that back? I can not code btw, so would be great if there is a easy way. The website is: okgadget.ru

2) Also I have reinstalled Woo Commerce trying to fix the following problem: I have icon of MY CART in the right up corner. And also when I clicked in the featured products, it worked in a way, that product was being added to the cart. So everything was good. But then when I clicked on the “My Cart” icon, imaging I am a client and want to pay by card, it says there is no such page. how Can I create that page? I guess this is not usual page, as it should be somehow linked with the WooCommerce and then with the payment systems, which I am about to set.

Hey Ben,

Thanks for the information! I got everything to work except for the responsive design. It’s fine until I use mobile, and then the title appears part way below the image. How do I shrink the text so it stays on the image?

(Also, should I be editing h1 or is there another way to accomplish this?)

Hey,
Usually you can choose the folder of the theme and set the permissions for it and all files within.

There isn’t anyway to move a couple things in one go.. You can export your Kadence sliders and import them into the live site. Then copy the theme options and import those into the live site. What would leave you with just making your new page and checking the options.

Else using the duplicator can work to create a copy of your dev site. If your hitting an error I would need to know more to know what is causing it. Are you using a new database to drop the copied site into?

I am not sure if there is a way to do this, and I couldn’t find anything in the forum… But is there a way to override the Basic Styling for the buttons (Send Email) on a site. I want to keep the Primary Color for the links on the page, but would like to use a totally different color for the buttons and their hover. Any assistance will be appreciated. Thanks!

1. If you use that css and make the logo visible then it will sit above your hype element.

2. “Also: is it not possible to override the 1200 trigger entirely?” – not sure what you mean. at 1200px screen size the container element switches to 940px wide it’s not off screen. Are you wanting the site to go off screen?

Ben, I tried this and actually downloaded the Virtue Premium Child theme you provided. When I activate it, however, everything on my Nav bar disappears!

Here’s the site.

I currently have the parent theme activated again so you can see the nav bar while I test. Any thoughts? I need to set the minimum order amount to 2.

So the demo styles are more about the theme options settings then something you place into the pagebuilder. What about the second demo site are you wanting to add? I can help from there.

1. Reducing the width of your blog.. Your not going to find that in customizer. Are you wanting just the posts to be smaller or the whole site width? You can find controls in your theme options.

2. Error in customizer, what version of the theme are you using?
can you send me a login to your site so I can see whats going on? You can use Set as private reply to post login info.

I just upgraded to Virtue premium, so I think I have the latest version of everything. I’m currently reading through all the documentation for the Rev slider, to see if I am doing something wrong. I’ll post a link to my site if I still can’t figure it out after I’ve waded through the text.

Thanks for the awesome response time. It’s nice to know that even if I’m frustrated with my site, I’m not alone with figuring things out.
