December 7, 2022 at 1:52 pm #281350The font settings for page headers is customizable, even though it is pulled from the typography settings.
Why not do the same for the archive as well? It would be intuitive.
Thanks.
In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Being able to change product elements Order
The product elements order is adjustable, just not through the Customizer. WooCommerce makes it very easy to move around things on the single product page/template. Here’s a simple code snippet that moves the add to cart button above the product short description without the need for Kadence to do it for you:
/* Move add to cart above product description */ remove_action( 'woocommerce_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_template_single_add_to_cart', 30 ); add_action( 'woocommerce_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_template_single_add_to_cart', 15 );In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Read more tag work on Portfolio page?
Hi, Kathy!
I apologize for the long delay in getting back to you. It seems like your forum topic was overlooked.
Could you confirm which Read more tag you used? Is it this one – https://wordpress.org/support/article/read-more-block/? I believe this will only add a link that will take the user to a post or page.
On the other hand, if you have the Kadence Blocks plugin, you can use our Show More block. This is how it will work – https://share.getcloudapp.com/OAu2rxBj.
I hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist you further.

Hi, Ville!
Please could you send us your website URL? This is so we can test it via the Google Lighthouse and inspect the page of anchor tags without “

Looking forward to your response.

December 6, 2022 at 8:10 am #281325Hi Dave,
Can you send here the link to the page where we can see the menus, so we can check if there’s a setting for that, or we need to use custom CSS?
There’s a way to target the menu items and use only a shorter code, but we need to look closer at the menu you are referring to.
You can send your reply privately by checking the “Set as private reply” option below if you’d not want to share the link to your site publicly.

ChitoIn forum: Membership ForumsHi, Alex.
WooCommerce Order details are not shown on the users’ settings/backend. The display options for the checkout fields are:
- Display in Emails
- Display in Order Detail Pages
See this screenshot – https://share.getcloudapp.com/QwujGLQ0.
If you checked the second display option, you should be able to see the field by going to WooCommerce > Orders > Specific Order – https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQu4vNv2.
And, if not possible, can I use a ACF or Toolset custom fields and use it in the chekout manager?
This is not possible currently, the fields can only be added using our Checkout Manager.
I hope this helps. If I misunderstood, let us know so we can help you further.

KarlaIn forum: Kadence BlocksDecember 5, 2022 at 10:18 am #281314Hi Kadence Team!
I am using the countdown block inside 2 different sets of popups (on-exit intent) and a banner (fixed to bottom) conversion item. Both sets work on the same page with different URL parameters for triggering:
SET #1:
The timer is set to count until Jan 1st. (It does fine)SET #2:
The timer is set to count until Feb 1st, but it shows like it was set to Jan 1st like de Set #1.I triple check both conversions items and block settings. Also cleared cache several times. No luck yet.
Any idea to solve this?
In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Image sizes and aspect ratio
Hi!
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you.
The example I gave for my last response is a specific case where you can use properly sized images (given the structure you provided). The general or standard sizes will remain the same because those sizes will be appropriate for any website. The exact image size and resolution will greatly depend on where you want to show them.
I hope this guide will help you further about WordPress images and the best sizes – https://enginescout.com.au/wordpress-image-sizes/.
“If I save those settings and take a look on my site for my 1980×108 resolution in inspect…Please tell me why I am uploading an image that is in principle 3.8961038…larger?”
Please could you give us a page URL where we can see your current progress? This is so we can better understand how you have set up the page content and we can inspect the page. You may set up a development website and set your reply as private so only you and the support team can see the page URL.
We are having issues with the Kadence Starter Templates plugin but we’re working on resolving it. For now, you can download it directly on this link. Then, install it via Dashboard > Plugins.
Let us know how we can assist you further.

As a “workaround” if anyone needs it, the Design Library inside of the page editor still works perfectly.
Takes a bit longer since you have to go page by page but it isn’t too bad.
So if this is holding you all up, try this, and good luck with your builds. 👍
In forum: Kadence ThemeHi, Karla. Thank you for answer.
I’v seen your video. Yes that are the steps i get error with.
Apparently, I will have to do experiments with plugins and themes to localize the problem. Unfortunately, I’m still newbie at WordPress (i dont know safe paths and dont understand side effects of certain actions). So the work will take time.
Thank yoy again.PS: May permalink setting the same as your (they are default as i remember). And i empty cache every time i change pages or settings (

December 1, 2022 at 8:46 am #281269Thanks Karla. I found this great idea for using a rewrite rule to handle /events/ vs /events/past/, which lets me use the same archive page for both lists. So far it’s working really well. My full pre_get_posts function is below in case anyone else would benefit from it.
One downside so far is that the event_start_date return format needs to be Y-m-d in order to be able to use it in the query compare param with either < or >= operators, but I would rather show it as “Dec 12” in the hooked elements’ UI but dynamic text uses the return format and not the display format.
function custom_events_query( $query ) { if( is_admin() ) return; if( !$query->is_main_query() ) return; // check for param to show either upcoming or previous events $compare = isset( $query->query_vars['is_past'] ) ? '<' : '>='; $meta_query = array( array( 'meta_key' => 'event_start_date', 'value' => date('Y-m-d'), 'type' => 'DATE', 'compare' => $compare ) ); // sort events by custom event start date if( isset($query->query_vars['post_type']) && $query->query_vars['post_type'] == 'event' ) { $query->set('orderby', 'meta_value'); $query->set('meta_key', 'event_start_date'); $query->set('order', 'ASC'); $query->set('meta_query', $meta_query); } // add class to past events body for css hook if (isset( $query->query_vars['is_past'] )) { add_filter( 'body_class', function( $classes ) { return array_merge( $classes, array( 'past-events' ) ); } ); } return $query; } add_filter( 'pre_get_posts', 'custom_events_query' );In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Mobile Flex Slider – How to remove space around it?
December 1, 2022 at 7:32 am #281267Hi Jilly,
Thanks for writing.
Can you send the link to the page in question to look closer and see what slider you are using?
Can I access the slider properties using css to alter padding and margin?
Yes, you can use custom CSS to override the padding and margin. You can inspect the elements of your page and target the class or ID of the elements you want to customize using custom CSS – see reference: https://www.hostinger.ph/tutorials/website/how-to-inspect-and-change-style-using-google-chrome

JohannaIn forum: Kadence BlocksIn reply to: ACF Pro
Hi, Dan!
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you!
We do not have a post that has this information yet, but I hope these will help:
- https://www.kadencewp.com/blog/introducing-the-dynamic-html-block-and-post-relationships-in-kadence-blocks-pro/
On the other hand, most of the ACF fields can be used with our dynamic contents. Some fields that have array return values or subfields like a repeater, group, or tabs cannot be processed yet. However, there are plans to add support for these types of fields in the coming pro addon updates. Currently, we do not have an estimated date for that.
Options page
For the Options page, here’s how you can select the custom field for the blocks’ dynamic content options:
- Add the Options page by adding the code snippet here. The code is:
if( function_exists('acf_add_options_page') ) { acf_add_options_page(); } - Add a field group and show it to the Options page.
- To add the fields’ values, turn on the “Show fields from all post types” option. Then, select the custom field with the “Options:” text before them.
Here’s a screen recording for your reference – https://share.getcloudapp.com/12uROoy5.
“(Creating a custom cpt in functions.php is not recognized)”
This should work. Could you confirm if you followed our guide here? Also, have you flushed your permalinks already? If not yet, go to Settings > Permalinks and click the Save Changes button right away.
I hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist you further.

Hi, Johanna!
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you here.
If you want to show featured products on your pages(homepage), you can do the following:
- Edit the homepage.
- Add WooCommerce plugin’s [products] shortcode. For example, “
[products limit="4" columns="4" visibility="featured"]“. This is how it worked on my website – https://share.getcloudapp.com/JruyXqQE.For more reference about this shortcode, you can refer to their knowledgebase article here – https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/.
I hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist you further.

KarlaIn forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Best practice for custom post type archive hero
Hi there!
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you.
I can recommend these steps:
- Since you were able to order the posts on an archive page by event_date, add an additional code snippet to exclude the first post from being listed. Here is a guide that you can follow.
- Then, for the archive page here using the Hooked Elements, you can construct it manually. This way, you can assign the event’s details.
You said you already added a code snippet for pre_get_posts. This should already change the order of your post listing for the CPT archive page. Could you send us the code snippet here so we can check? Also, try to add a conditional to apply the change in order for the “events” archive page.
For example:
if ( is_post_type_archive( 'events_cpt_slug' ) ) { // Do stuff }
I hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist you further.

KarlaIn forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: BUG REPORT: Header / Content spacing
Hi, Michael!
The paragraph and heading tags inside the content area have default bottom margins. This is something that was assigned by our theme’s styles, there is no option to change it via the Customizer.
By default, the paragraph’s bottom margin is larger than the bottom margins of headings. See this screen recording – https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQu4dK1Z.
Could you give us a page URL where we can see your content? This is so we can inspect the page of the styles it’s using. It is possible that there is a plugin assigning another value for spacing and it overrides our Kadence Theme’s styles.
Let us know how we can assist you further.

KarlaIn forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Image sizes and aspect ratio
Hi there!
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you.
“If I have understood the information above regarding images guide – then to allow for a retina screen I would ned double the size of 1200×900….but that would mean images that are 2400x1800px?”
Yes, if you want the images to look good on retina screens, you can double their pixel dimensions.
“If I take my example using the Featured image (landscape) then I am looking at 2400×1800 if I am to preserve the 4:3 ratio?”
Yes, to guide you on aspect ratio computing, you can go to websites like this.
The concern about going beyond the render screen is valid. For example, if the space where the image will be shown is only 1200 x 1600, then using a larger image size there will be noticed by Google Page Speed Insights about properly sizing images. However, for retina screens, those section’s pixel dimensions are probably also larger so I think there will be no issues with using images with larger pixels.
Overall, I would recommend resizing the images before you upload them. After uploading, it is better to optimize them too. You may refer to the following posts:
- https://wpmudev.com/blog/make-images-retina-ready/ (scroll to the “How to Make Images Retina Ready?” title)

I hope this helps, and let us know if we can assist you further.
