1. Does this happen on all posts/pages that you edit with Elementor? Have you tried contacting GeneratePress support seeing as that’s the theme you’re using?
2. When I go to edit your product template and open the elementor editor I can see everything that is being added and how it will display on the front-end. Are you seeing something different?

Hey Mike,
Sorry for the delay! Seeing as this does not seem to be a theme related issue, have you tried contacting WP Inventory Manager support? I would suggest starting there. Let us know how they respond!
I have also flagged this for the developer to see if he has any insight that I’m not seeing.Hannah
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Had to restore site after update.
Hey Adrian,
Yes, it’s very possible this was caused by a lost connection. Or it could have been an issue with your server timing out or something like that. If this happens again I would suggest re-uploading and if you still have trouble, contact your host.Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Off centre Google Map marker
How can I get the map to display with the marker off centre, to the left? Like in the screenshot attached, so that the distance from Sydney is shown.
There is a “Map Center” field in the widget but I cannot get it to work.
Can you help, please? Also, how do you use the multiple markers please? I tried to put in a Marker Two, etc, but they do not show up.

May 9, 2019 at 3:24 pm #225247Hey,
So I can explain, It’s not a bug although I don’t like how WordPress designed this. The “default” page template is not a specific template. There is logic that runs to determine which template to use. Most of the time the template is page.php but if the title of the page matches the title of a template then that template is used instead. This means that the contact template is used instead of page when your title is contact. This confuses the logic for a sidebar and it’s falling back because it’s not set as a page template but it’s not pulling the same meta that is used in the default page settings.
The correct solution is to assign a template.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben
Sorry to bother you again!
On an Event Venue record, you can have a Featured Image and you can add an image to the Text area.
When you view all events for a venue, it picks up the image from the Text area if you have put one in, but also displays Image Placeholder on the screen. I am not sure if the Featured Image should be displayed in this space?
Anyway, I contacted the Event Organiser plugin owners with the problem and they responded as follows:What’s creating that placeholder image?
The plugin can’t automatically display a the venue image, because its largely the theme that’s left to determine what is displayed. However, it just requires adding:
echo eo_get_venue_thumbnail( get_queried_object_id(), ‘post-thumbnail’ );
to the venue template. I can help with that if required, but if you’re trying to replace the placeholder image it would be good to know what’s creating that in the first place: the theme, or a plugin? Are you able to shed some light on this please? Not sure how I would update the template (I think I would need to use a child theme plugin?).
Many thanks

May 7, 2019 at 10:30 am #224980Hey,
Thanks for your feature requests, what I am planning to build is a simple contact form block for Gutenberg in Kadence blocks pro that will add these features excerpt I’m not aware of any that would block links being used in the form.Ben

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for your detailed explanation and your willingness to assist if I further run into a problem. I appreciate it.
I already tried WPForms on my staging site. It’s a bit heavy for me where I require so little; just a contact form with some basic must have fields. I don’t require a ton of features.
I’m satisfied with what you already have in your Virtue Premium Theme but the spam messages that are getting through the contact form. It’s okay if you have no plan to add any other features to your existing contact form.
I’m grateful for your continuous support.
All the best!

MinhajulIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Virtue contact form is unable to filter out spam
Hello,
The theme contact form is meant to be quite basic. Users who wish to add more features to their site’s contact forms should really be using a plugin. There are a lot of really good plugins out there developed by great teams with the sole purpose of adding secure and customizable contact forms to WordPress sites. We recommend to all users who wish to customize contact forms that you use one of them for more advanced applications. I can’t speak for the recapctha plugin that you’re using, but it doesn’t seem like it’s working properly if you’re getting a lot of spam with it active.
I suggest you take a look at this post:
https://www.kadencewp.com/create-custom-contact-forms-with-wpforms/It covers customizing the forms with WPForms, and adding security via reCaptcha directly to the plugin. Using the plugin, all of your needs should be met. Given the quality of this plugin, it doesn’t make any sense for the theme to have all of this functionality built in when there are already developers who offer amazing products for free that fit this niche.
I know you stated that you don’t wish to use a plugin for this, but in this case, the plugin is the most logical method. We can assist you with any styling issues you run into. There’s also Contact Form 7 and other plugins out there that are great for contact forms.
I’ll flag this thread for a developer followup and Ben will be able to comment further on this matter when he’s available, but take a look at the post I linked to and let me know what you think. While I understand wanting limit the use of plugins, there’s really no reason not use them when they’re well developed and supported for a specific purpose such as this.

In forum: Ascend ThemeHi, we are using Ascend Premium and purchased WPForms for contact forms based on the theme’s recommendation. We are having issues with dropdowns in the forms. I contacted WPForms first and they tried to test using free Ascend and could not duplicate the problem I am having with Premium. They had given me some CSS to use to try to help and it didn’t work either.
If I use placeholder text in the dropdown, the window is only one character wide. I’ve tried small, medium, large window settings and none work. If I don’t use placeholder text, the window is only as wide as the first item in the dropdown. So if the first word is 8 characters, and there is a second item in the dropdown that is 12 characters, it cuts it off at 8 characters.
Also, I am unable to use the recommended WPForm setting “Base & Theme Styling” as it has formatting issues. If I use Base Styling it is much better, except for the dropdown menu issue.
The site is currently on an internal test server so there is not external access. I can attach a few pics of what the dropdown looks like.
Any assistance appreciated!
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben,
I’m overwhelmed by the number of spam emails getting into my spam folder through Virtue Contact Form. I’m worried if it harms the reputation of my domain. Because some spammers are using the emails of my domain to send their spam messages.
For example, I often see emails coming from [email protected] to [email protected] with lots of spam words and links in the email messages.
I don’t know whether a domain can be harmed by sending spam content to its own email addresses. Could you please make your contact form a little smarter?
Because the simple math doesn’t seem to be working very well. Please don’t suggest another plugin to handle this. I’m sick of WordPress Plugins. They also break the style of my theme. Like JetPack always seems to break the style of the Post Comment button on my blog posts. I avoid Plugins whenever possible if something can be solved by adding or modifying some code.
One more thing I also like to mention that I do not use your Kadence ReCaptcha. For I already have Invisible ReCaptcha installed in my WordPress site. It provides a function for custom forms which I then added to Virtue Contact From before the closing </form> tag as it was instructed by the Plugin Author. The Invisible ReCaptcha loads and stays at the bottom-left of my site when I visit my contact page. But I don’t think it does any good like the simple math.
Here are some of the things you may want to pay attention to.
1. Please change the Name field and split it into First Name and Last Name in the same row. Auto-capitalization of the initial letters of these fields will be much appreciated to get clean records.
2. The email field must not validate emails when anybody/spammers are putting an email address of the domain rather than using their own email. For example, Email field of the site *Login to see link should not allow anybody to use [email protected] as their form address. Employees don’t use visitor’s contact form/lead generation form to communicate with their team members. I don’t think it would be an issue for the people having their work email addresses on that domain.
3. Please add a Subject field to your Virtue theme’s contact form. It makes the sender’s purpose clear and helps the recipient prioritize tasks without reading the whole message. As a matter of fact, I don’t understand why this is missing in the first place. It wasn’t something I expected from an intelligent team like yours who have gone ahead and created fine things that other developers usually miss or overlook. Indeed, you have good taste.
4. Do not validate an email when the message field contains links in it. Give the visitor an error message that links are not allowed in the message.
5. Could you implement an Anti-spam Honeypot in your Virtue Contact Form? I don’t know whether it really helps. A lot of techies are talking about it. It’s funny that spam bots are trapped in a hidden field where they are able to work their way around the Simple Math or ReCaptcha.
As always I’m grateful for your generous support. I also think it is necessary to inform you about these problems we existing users are facing. So you can make it better and attract more people to your business who pay attention to these details.
Thank you again for your continuous support!

Regards,
Minhajul HaqueI am trying to send the following message through the contact form in my website (www.sbcreativecontent.com):
This is a sample test message using special characters:
Can you watch <5 dogs and >3 cats? I’m looking for a regular pet sitter for my zoo.
Thanks!
However, when the message comes through to my email, it looks like this:
Comments:This is a sample test message using special characters:
Can you watch 3 cats? I’m looking for a regular pet sitter for my zoo.
Thanks!
Is it normal that any thing contained between the more-than and less-than signs doesn’t come through the contact form?
I am testing this for a client who is experiencing the same issue.
Thanks,
Jennifer
In forum: Ascend ThemeHi Ben,
I’m trying to fix the issue with my store page. *Login to see link dio/store/
Yesterday after I added new products (and new images into media library) the page doesn’t load. And it gives out JS errors.
I was in contact with the server support all last day. I restored WP and DB. Next, the store was broken down again just after adding one product and new images to the media library.I believe the issue with product images wasn’t properly solved in December when I came to you with that first time.
Could you help me with that and eventually fix the issue?

Thanks for the info. I have never clear the minify cache in autoptimize. So that is something I will check out. I did go to the plugin site but they wanted the url which had been sorta fixed by deactivating the plugin, while I waited to hear back from you. I will reactivate it check it out and then contact the plugin authors they did have an update just a week ago. Thanks again for a fast heads up on what to check out.
