    Hello,

Is there a way to stop the primary menu cascading onto 2 lines on iPad? Also what is the best CSS to remove the 15px white gap between the main menu and first section on the home page please?

    Thanks,
    David.

    Hi Ben
Many thanks for the reply … I have made a slight change and created a mobile slider, using a smaller scale video that is hosted on the site and this works on Android and iPad, but still not on iPhone!

Is there a reason for this that you are aware of? I have read the article you sent, but can’t see that there should be a difference between the two. Both items I have tested it on are running the latest versions of iOS.

    Many thanks

    Patrick

Sorry to piggy back, but seemed sensible to use this topic, rather than create a new one!

I have this problem … however it does work on Android devices, just not iPhones/iPads!!

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

    Thanks

    Hi

I defined 3 images per row in the shop page.
The image size that is taken is 400×400 (I set aspect ratio to 1×1). And it looks fine on the regular screens.
However if I use for example Ipad Pro Large , 400px is too small and looks bad with extra space around the image.

So the solution is to use larger thumbnail size or set 4 images per row only for large resolution.

How do I acheive one of those?

    Thank you

    1. I am on version 4.8.1 (which I think is the latest version).

I just tested on an iPad in Safari (Portrait mode) and on both Safari and Chrome on a Mac — the Search field (magnifying icon and field with the word “Search” in gray) disappears at a certain size when the menu is placed under the three horizontal bars.

I believe it had been resolved earlier, but it seems to have re-emerged. I only noticed it when trying to debug the magnifying icon after enabling the cart.

    2. I added your suggested Custom CSS. This addressed the magnifying glass going to the next line below the menu. Thanks. I wonder if this type of issue will keep reoccurring each time I add a new menu item to the primary menu, or if the suggested CSS addresses future cases.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Strangely enough, when I look at the same page on my iPad, I don’t see the same problem with the Countries list. Not sure if this helps or not, but I thought I would mention it.

Negative, no ad blocker apps. I just tried it again on another iPad and was able to duplicate.

    #155722

I’ve tried on 5 different devices and I can’t recreate. Ipads, iphones. 6, 6plus, 7, 7plus, safari and chrome. The only thing I consistently see if errors because you are using iframes which aren’t related to the contact form but you should seriously consider the effects of iframes.

conversion_async.js:2 Blocked a frame with origin "https://www.jacuzzi.com" from accessing a frame with origin "https://aquaparadiseca.com". Protocols, domains, and ports must match.

Are you using any kind of ad-blocker app?

    Ben

    #155717

Yes. We have seen this occur on several different iPads and 3 different iPhones so its not limited to a single device or situation.

    Hi,
I wonder, is there a way to change color and maybe size, of the little x that closes the lightbox window, using the Virtue gallery widget (I have changed the backgroud color to White)
and to make sure that it also shows on an Ipad?
Or is there a better way to easely show how to exit from lightbox mode?
    Please look on

    Best wishes
    Kati

    I’m using virtue_premium ver 4.2.4 with WP 4.8

I’m using a plugin that makes tables (Woocommerce product tables), and it has responsiveness built into it. It works fine with WordPress 2017, 2016, and 2015, meaning, as the screen size gets smaller, green plus signs appear to the left of each item in the table, indicating there is more data not showing.

This doesn’t happen with virtue_premium. I’m using the fullwidth template for these pages typically. Here is an example:

I’ve tried out all the other templates in the theme, and have had some partial success with the Sidebar template. Here is an example:

The problem with the Sidebar template is that, although the green plus signs appear, as the screen size gets to ‘ipad mini size’ and smaller – the responsiveness stops.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get the theme to behave?

    Hi

The menu on the iphone and ipad type screen size is showing a completely different menu, how do I change this menu to replicate the main menu locations. http://www.rwpaving.co.uk

When I resize the browser on the desktop, then yes I see it’s smaller. But on the iPad it opens to a full screen size, and on the iPad I have it’s not picking up the change.

Good to know it only is supposed to change the iPad. However, I cleared the cache on Chrome on the iPad. I tossed the page. I opened a new tab. I checked the page. Still looks the same. The “Choose an Option” fields are overlapping the sidebar — in landscape mode, not in portrait mode, cause there’s no sidebar that way.

I’ve found the way to clear cache on the iPad chrome. No difference.

and it still looks exactly the same on the desktop

The css is not supposed to effect desktop.
The css would still work without that last bracket it would just break everything after it.

    I checked on an ipad.

Ben I’m not sure how you saw it working. I only had one bracket at the end. Since your post I’ve added the second bracket, I’ve tried it again, set as low as 50, cleared cache, and it still looks exactly the same on the desktop. On the iPad I’m at a loss as to how to clear the cache in Chrome or Safari. It’s currently set to 100px.
