    Hey,
    So just to clarify you can’t use pagebuilder and woocommerce shop page. Those conflict. If you want to add content you can just don’t use pagebuilder just use the standard page editor.

    AS for your css you have this at the top and it’s missing the closing bracket:

    .postwrap {
    background-color: transparent;
    width: 400px;
    float: none;
    margin-left: 100px;
    padding: 20px 15px 0px 10px;
    word-wrap: break-word; /* fix for long text breaking sidebar float in IE */
    overflow: hidden; /* fix for long non-text content breaking IE sidebar float */

    you need to add }

    in terms of removing the background on the category title you should also considering changing the font color if your going to do that because white will just blend into the image.

    .product-category.grid_item a h5 {
        color: black;
    }

    .product-category.grid_item h5 mark {
        color: black;
    }

    I have an extension loaded into chrome which enlargens all images … works fine everywhere in wordpress except on the blog grid post pages … cannot see why the images there are not being enlarged

    Thanks for your time Hannah, regards Rodney

    Hey Ronald,
    So the homepage cannot actually take on a page template like blog grid. It is already it’s own template. You would need to use a default template and add your posts via shortcode like this: [blog_grid orderby=date items=12 columns=3]
    See full list of shortcodes here- http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#shortcodes
    Hope that helps!

    yes this one:
    Or are you wanting a portfolio grid within an individual blog post?

    Hi Marc,
    Sorry for the delay. I’m not sure I’m following. Why not just use a portfolio grid, rather than a blog grid? It seems you’re trying to link your images to portfolio posts anyway. Or are you wanting a portfolio grid within an individual blog post? If so, you can use a shortcode like this: [portfolio_posts columns="4" items="12"]

    No not at all. I’m unsure how the link turned into that display but you can just get to the site and poke around via wpsite-management.com
    Then under the services link you’ll see them. well you’ll see the posts grid first…then individual post where the post carousels are.
    Thanks

    Hello,

    Please see:

    I ordered my items for each portfolio post I created, but it is not showing in that order in the portfolio grid (on the test page). Once I get it working, I was going to add the grid to my actual page.

    Thanks,

    Connie

    #75114

    Hey,
    This has to do with permalink limitations inside wordpress. pages that have pagination can’t share a url with a custom post type.
    So if your page is using the url /portfolio/ and your single portfolio posts are using the url /portfolio/single/ then it creates a conflict with /portfolio/page/2

    You just need to change the url slug for your portfolio grid page to be projects or my-portfolio or something just a little different.

    I get the portfolio items to show up on the right page, but if I change the number of items to display on the page to anything less than “all” the pagination will appear and the proper number of portfolio items will appear on the first page. However clicking page2 results in an error message.
    This is the Virtue premium theme. Now I am talking about using the Theme options settings and the portfolio home page being set to portfolio grid.
    I know there are wordpress settings in the writing tab that can be used enable portfolio and by choosing the number of blog post will edit that portfolio. However I am not using that portfolio I am using the one inside your theme and them options. Quite frankly, I find that having 2 separate portfolio options a bit confusing but anyways…Help

    A category grid page would show all of the type you make in portfolio > types. Just make sure you assign an image to each type. You have to click the edit link for each type.

    If a posts shares any category then they would link to each other. Are you making sure each post has it’s completely separate type?

    #74910

    to further expand, I set up a category page but don’t see how to choose the categories for the post. I can do it from the Portfolio Grid template but not the Portfolio Category Grid. Thanks.

    #74835

    Hey,
    You can add a custom menu order using the post attributes order number in each post.

    Else you can use the portfolio grid page and set your order by date as Kevin suggested.

    #74822

    Hey,
    1. In your theme options > portfolio options. Change the Portfolio Arrow Navigation to be within category.
    2. If you want to show portfolio types then link to type pages then link to individual portfolio posts use the portfolio category template and make sure each portfolio type has an image set.
    3. Image grid is like a gallery. You can add images into the portfolio slider images on your portfolio post page.

    Hannah,

    Sorry, the link is http://www.lholinerdesigns.com/WordPress/work/. The portfolio page is under Work. When I click on one of the images within the Work page, I get to another page with navigation. The images on the Work page are in a category main. When I click on one of them, I want to be able to navigate through that category only. But I am navigating through the entire portfolio.

    When I click on the pumpkin patch image, I go to a subpage that navigates through that category only. That is what I want.

    Also on the portfolio post, what does it mean for Image grid under Project options? Where do the images get input?

    Thanks.
