I would like to have summaries of my three most recent blog posts appear on my homepage. I like the way it looks when I select the option to display my most recent posts as my homepage; however there is no way to limit the number of posts that are displayed nor is there a way to add a heading (i.e. Latest Blog Posts). When I use the “Latest Blog Posts” widget (which allows me to choose the number of posts displayed) for the homepage, the formatting looks terrible – specifically, the featured images are not displayed correctly and the titles are not formatted properly.
Is there any way to change the formatting of the Latest Blog Posts widget (to make it looks the way it does for the show most recent posts on homepage formatting) or is there a way to limit the number of posts and add heading if the show most recent posts on the homepage is used?
Thanks for your help.

Hey Michael,
I just played around with the plugin for a bit and couldn’t get this to work either. A simple solution, rather than using a different plugin, would be to use some css to remove this from portfolio posts. This should work:.portfolio-single .shariff ul { display: none; }Just paste that in your custom css box in Theme Options > Custom CSS.
Hope it helps!Hannah

Hi!
I would be thankful for detailed information exact HOW to edit the testimonial options on testimonial page and testimonial post.
I do not need any information about how to create Testimonials or a Testimonial page, I need information about HOW to edit them, f.e. remove “Read more”-links a.s.o.
Best regards,

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Suppress "Read More" in Testimonials
Hey Annika,
You should see a Testimonials tab in your admin panel. You can create testimonial posts there, then to create a testimonial page create a new page and set the page template to Testimonial Grid. This template will automatically pull the posts to the page.
If you have further questions regarding this please start a new thread and post a link to your site as this one has already been marked as resolved.Hannah

Hi Ben
Please ignore last post. I have made the changes you suggest. But it is still only showing 20 items.
That has also stopped the filter from correctly showing Photobooths only on first visiting the page. When you visit the home page it now shows all items, and only 20 of them.
Regards

Could you tell me exactly where in the visual editor page I paste this code, please? Top? Bottom? Anywhere?
You say “visual editor” but if I do that then
[kad_blog orderby=date items=1 fullpost=false cat=home]
shows up in a grey box and in the text editor it changes itself intokad_blog orderby=date items=1 fullpost=false cat=homeand does nothing.
Does the “Virtue Shortcodes” have anything to do with it?

The additional menu is now gone thank you.
You can do that same with the mobile navigation as the secondary menu. If you don’t assign a menu to it then it won’t show. I have done this however the red header with logo still remain.
my secondary menu (Shown on every page other than home page) seems to have a large amount of padding above the links making the header bigger. Tried CSS from seemingly related support posts but cant seem to reduce it
