Topic: Webpage slow
Hi Ben, There is some problem going on my website.. It’s very slow.. Takes about almost 16- 30 sec to load.. I tried to disabling all the plugins and it’s still the same. I even unistall the w3 cache properly. But doesn’t work either.. And I get so many css errors 13 to 24 in while inspecting the site element via safari develop mode. Plz have a look. *Login to see link
I have no idea about what’s causing it.. I don’t know if the new WordPress 4.0.1 is causing or my server.. I don’t think it’s my hosting server. Coz the other site I have on the same server with WordPress 4.0.1 is fine. The only thing is on other site. I haven’t updated the virtue premium theme. The other websites that’s are fine http://www.nefeso.org.au and http://www.maintenance.apexworld.com.au
May be you can guide me what’s causing it to be slow.. If it’s the host then I will talk to them.. I would really appreciate your help as always.
Thank you

Sounds like you are using a caching plugin. Have you cleared your cache?Post a link to your site for further support.

November 21, 2014 at 12:59 am #23079Hey Nic,
I can see your screen shot, but can’t see that in the actual slider because you have w3 total cache and I’m seeing an older version. Can you clear your total cache.Ben

November 20, 2014 at 5:14 am #23042Hey,
Your site has a ton of errors, looks like it’s caused by a “hyper cache” plugin.
I would start by fixing your errors. I recommend using w3 total cache plugin for caching. Also if you look at pingdom: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/vFFJ3/http://creativepresents.ru/
Your showing a really long wait time for your server to respond. This can happen if there are issues in your cache.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Page speed
Hi,
First, thanks for the great theme. My only problem is that I’ve been having great difficulty getting the page load speed down to something I’m comfortable with.
e.g. this was my last test: *Login to see linkI’m using W3 total cache, with compression and minify enabled — that seems to make a big difference, but still not enough. Also, Google PageSpeed Insights flags 3 of the Revolution slider files as still needing compression. The slider seems like part of the problem, but I need to keep it if possible.
Do you have any advice on what I should look at next?
Best,

In forum: Virtue ThemeNovember 16, 2014 at 3:51 pm #22663Hi,
I have revolution slider set up in my site and it was working fine until I added some tables.
I followed your advice and instead of the tables in text I added the recommended plugin and built them in there instead. I thought once I did that and then cleared the cache that the slider would display normally again. But it isn’t.
Can’t provide a link but this is what it looks like:
*Login to see linkThe odd thing is that when I right click to inspect the element it goes back to normal….
Is there anything in the following CSS that might be messing it up?

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Google Analytics Not Working
I added my Google analytics tracking ID in the Advanced Settings tab of the Virtue Premium theme. However, when I log into Google Webmaster tools, I get an error when trying to verify my site that reads: “The Google Analytics tracking code on your site is in the wrong location. You can verify site ownership with the asynchronous snippet placed in the <head> section of your home page.” I already double check that I entered the correct ID and have cleared my cache but with no success.
Any suggestions on how to quickly fix this?

November 16, 2014 at 3:47 am #22626Hey,
If your site is connecting on the desktop it shouldn’t be different on mobile. The same files are loaded. When I look at your site on my mobile I don’t get errors. Have you cleared you cache?Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeThis also happens at the premium theme at http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/shop/
Of course, you must have a page with an outdated cart already in the cache. This outdated cart is not updated at page load but only with a short but noticable delay.

November 14, 2014 at 12:18 pm #22527You can use w3 total cache plugin to change how and where the js files load.

November 14, 2014 at 3:42 am #22486Disabling the plugin doesn’t clear the cache. You have to clear in the plugin settings prior to disabling.
As for your css, your not adding in the theme options > custom css. Which is part of your issue. The other part is your child theme css has incorrect code in it.You are adding comments like:
*/ End /*But the code should be:
/* End */So fix your child theme css and then add this if your wanting to add in the child theme:
span.onsale.bg_primary { background: red !important; }Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
I’d really like to use the browser cache for html files because this speeds up the website significantly. I would like to use w3 total cache for this.
What stops me is a problem with the amount number in the cart widget (.kad-cart-total .cart-contents .amount). This problem is also notable on the virtue premium demo shop
1. User visits page: Retrieved shopping cart widget is preloaded with a false amount that comes from a another user’s cached html file.
2. … Other things happen until document is ready …
3. WooCommerce starts an ajax request get get right amount number
4. After ajax is loaded the amount widget gets updated.Between 1. and 4. there is about 1 sec, sometimes more. Due to the flipping of the “wrong” text amount to the right number, it is visually also notable to users that the cart widget changed. That is, it gets noticed.
I would like to do the following to solve this (I am open to other suggestions):
At first:
0. By default, have the cart amount set to visibility: hidden.
4. At step 4, set the cart amount to the visibility: visibleMy question is:
1. Are there any caveats I might overlook? E.g. are there situations when step 4 is not executed?
2. Is there a JavaScript event for step 4? I’d need an JS event to subscribe for when the amount has been successfully updated so that the visibility can be set to visibleIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Sale badge color not changing

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Move Shopping Cart in top bar
Hey, I just checked on two different browsers and your topbar navigation seems to be inline with the cart. What browser are you using? Try clearing your cache.
You can use this to change the hover color:.topbarmenu ul li a:hover { color: #000; background: #c9ff00; }Just paste it into your custom css box in theme options > advanced settings.
Hope this helps:)

November 12, 2014 at 7:28 pm #22365Hey Alex, I don’t see the css on your site. I do see that your using the plugin super cache. Are you clearing the cache after you add the css to the custom css box in the theme options.
