March 30, 2014 at 10:05 pm #6857Looks like you are using W3 Total Cache, so when you make an update you have to clear all the caches so that logged out visitors can see the updates.

Problem with image shaking in Firefox still remained. I completely cleared the cache. Maybe problem is with the size difference? cleared cache and history of both browsers.
The 3rd gallery is working – swipe & touch to open lightbox in both android standard and chrome browsers.
in the standard android browser the 1st and 2nd Gallery opens a new window on touch – but when you hit the return to previous window button on the handset it opens the lightbox. touching the edge of the carousel gallery images opens the lightbox.
in android chrome browser the 1st and 2nd Gallery opens a new window on touch, hitting return of the handset takes you back to the originating window – No Lightbox unless touching the edge of carousel gallery image

Thanks in advance for extensive developments and theme support. Since updating offline and online test sites, seem to be experiencing some functionality issues that had been previously fixed (e.g. in v2.1.2 Carousel Galleries navigation in Android browsers was fixed in February).
1. Carousel Gallery in Android Browsers.
The current upgrades seem to have re-introduced functionality problems on android smartphone browsers (android standard and chrome browsers). The touch functionality is not working properly – instead of opening the image in a lightbox, to allow arrow/swipe navigation of the whole gallery; it opens a new window to view a single image instead of the lightbox. Some images do not display after touch in neither the lightbox nor the (faulty) new window. The only way to open the carousel gallery lightbox (on samsung galaxy note 2 mobile android & chrome browsers) is to find the edge of the image that may randomly open the lightbox. (This functionality was working in v2.1.2 and the problem was initially limited to android chrome browser). I have tested on the demo site carousel gallery – it has the same problem 🙁
2. Filter Products/ Categories lost functionality
Filter Products/ Categories in the back-end seems to have lost functionality since the upgrade. selecting a filter to sort e.g. by product category seems to have been disabled. Applying the selected filter choice does not work – the list stays the same. Please can you provide a temporary solution before the next update if this has not been already fixed.3.Virtue: Image widget – widget code classes seem to have been added, modified or removed
Please confirm if the Virtue image widget has been updated with additional class functionality – as this impacts the custom css box codes by ignoring the custom code or making modifications unpredictable. The custom css added to the css box to left align the text in footer 1 was avoided since updating. It seems that .virtue_image_widget_caption has either been added or varied the applicability of .about_image_widget.4. Video Functionality
Since the update – video functionality for some video plugins (being viewed in smartphone/ android browsers) has been lost/ erratic. This restricted functionality used to be limited to the android chrome browser, now the standard android browser on samsung galaxy note 2 (has stopped or) is erratic in playing some videos (shockwave/ flash?). This might be a cache issue on the handset or low broadband bandwidth if it is not coincidentally attributed to the theme update.5. Page Builder
After test updating offline to v2.2.3 there were some suggested compatible plugins. Is the Page Builder plugin already built into the Virtue theme or is it an additional plugin to create responsive column layouts using widgets and shortcodes?I hope you can help 🙂

I have a similar problem, I’ve changed the tagline throughout (virtue-options-main-logo and wp’s settings-general), but the one appearing on the browser tab has not updated, and it’s been weeks. I flushed browser cache and WP Super Cache, and turned off WP Super Cache. site is: earthsign.com – it should say Liz LaManche in the tagline visible in the browser tab.

You can confirm again that it is only effecting your sites and not the demos right?

March 4, 2014 at 10:49 am #5674Looks like you are using W3 Total Cache. I don’t have the issue happening to me but it’s probably with the cache. If you go into the w3 total cache settings, click on the page cache tab and click the box that makes it so it doesn’t cache the front page. See if that resolves.

OK, YOU ARE RIGHT, Doing like you said now it works but this is strange. I had to click the update number above then back again to themes > aspect and it shows. It’s a strange behaviour indeed because I also cleaned the browser cache and tested with 3 different browsers I had not used so far but they showed all the shot 3b .
Anyhow we solved it.

In forum: Virtue ThemeI have updated from the free theme to premium so make the site more secure and offer more options.
I followed the upload directions but when I came to the theme update import the only data I received was {“redux-backup”:”1″} which I imported – ??
and my site needs to be totally reset – I do have a backup of the free theme settings but wish to use the new premium – 2.1.3.
Do I need to reset everything or is there an easier way.
I have deactivated the virtual toolkit plugin and only have woocommerce 2.1.1 and W3 total cache activated. I have not updated to the latest woocommerce yet.
Should I update to the latest woocommerce before starting over?
Please advise of the best steps to take to get back to my original settings?

February 15, 2014 at 4:28 pm #4736Sounds like there is an issue with your htaccess file which handles permalinks? Are you using a caching plugin? I saw that wp super cache was having some issues with the new woocommerce.
The other thing is when you installed woocommerce there should have been a database converter option that popped up after you updated, if you didn’t run that is causes all kinds of issues.Ben
