June 19, 2019 at 12:01 pm #228686ok, it’s possible then that you had a cached file that was being used.

June 18, 2019 at 10:42 am #228559This is really strange, I turned on wp-debug so I could try to get an output and the issue went away. Somehow the database is not being read and once you do something in WordPress that would force a cache to clear the database is read again…
I’m not sure what to try because it won’t stay long enough to test with. I can say I’ve never seen this before. I’ll keep thinking.

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: How to centre mobile logo
June 15, 2019 at 2:17 am #228346Thanks a lot Hannah, that has worked great, could you also tell me how I can align the logo left? Or Just decrease the padding so the logo gives more room for the title on mobile sites.
Also, when I publish any changes they don’t seem to be visible on mobiles. It shows the changes when viewing them logged in on WordPress and using the customiser or editing theme options but when they’re viewed on in incognito nothing changes. I have cleared all caches.
Thanks!

June 12, 2019 at 12:12 pm #228129That is very very strange. Can’t say I’ve seen that before.
Well, to me it seems like some kind of caching issue, caching in the database that gets corrupted and for some reason just reactivating the theme clears that cache.
Can you send me a login and I’ll run some tests. Also access to the server would be helpful so I can see the logs and htaccess file

June 11, 2019 at 3:46 pm #228049Thanks, I may experiment with some way to cache save those differently so WordPress doesn’t do that.

June 11, 2019 at 10:56 am #228031Hi Hannah,
I have it happening in both Safari and Chrome. I have cleared the cache in both. Just to clarify, I am going to share another screenshot from my post:
https://pintsizepilot.com/self-driving-the-golden-circle-iceland/
If you scroll to the bottom, you have the “Recent Posts”. The post about “20 Things to do in NYC” is how I want the images and text to render (the image I believe is the “feature image” for the preview. It is also rendering in the same way it always has on my site until recently. The other two shown there (stroller post and Skiing in Chile post) are not showing correctly despite having a feature image of the same size defined.
I am attaching another screenshot.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Ascend ThemeThank you for the code, I had to SFTP to the site to upload it to the Child Theme. It does not appear to be working though… I tried on another browser after resetting the cache too.
Edit: Just had an idea: I am currently working on the article so, it is in draft mode. Could that have any bearing on the page numbers not moving?
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Post Grid/Carousel with random order
June 4, 2019 at 1:35 pm #227548I must also suggest that random is usually highly discouraged because the query isn’t cached (many hosts don’t even allow it) and for users, it’s better to define what they are going to see and not leave it up to chance. Also, users get really frustrated when they can’t find something that was there a minute ago before they navigated away.

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Problem with Ascend Carousel
May 30, 2019 at 10:32 am #227135Hi guys!
I’m having a problem with the Ascend Carousel widget. Here’s what it is: I’m building the homepage using Elementor. I’ve added the carousel widget with the following configuration: blog posts photo output, 3 columns, 6 itens, scroll setting 1 item. While I’m editing, Elementor shows as if everything’s working fine, as you can see on the printscreen I’m sending. But when I publish the page, the Carousel expands to 4 columns, instead of 3, and doesn’t display all 6 itens (see the other printscreen). I tried changing it to a different number of columns, just for testing, but it’s always adding one extra column and not displaying all the itens. I’ve cleared the cache, updated all plugins, and tried opening the website on different browsers, but the problem continues.
I’m currently using Elementor’s maintenance mode, so only the admin can view the website. I’m sending a temporary login information on a private reply so you guys can take a look.
Thank you,
