I see that you’re using 3 caching plugins. It’s likely one of them is still showing the old slider. I suggest only using one cache plugin to avoid confusion. Then clear that plugin as well as your browser cache.
As for tablet view, it will still be using a mobile browser so the video will not show.

Hi Kevin
Sorry for this. I tried two things, none of them worked
1) adding an image on the kadence slider- still showed black background on mobi
2) tried to change the theme options to a basic slider for mobi instead of kadence slider pro and uploaded image there, again nothing. Have already cleared cache
incidentally, do videos render on tablets or not?

Hello Max,
I just tested the infinite scroll on my test site and it’s working properly. I would test your active plugins for a conflict by deactivating one by one to see if the issue goes away when a certain plugin is OFF.
Be sure to clear your cache after each plugin. You’re also getting a bunch of errors on in your javascript console reading “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘is_mobile’ of undefined
at revolution.extension.layeranimation.min.js?ver=5.4.8:7
at revolution.extension.layeranimation.min.js?ver=5.4.8:7”Are you up to date with all other plugins?

Clearing the cache: Chrome > Settings > Advanced > Clear Browsing Data > Clear cached images and files
I turned off the shrink header and this makes the transition less jumpy and keeps a good amount of padding.
*The problem is we’re back to the logo with text having the transparent/slider image background instead of the purple background.
The following custom CSS is present:
.is-sticky .headerclass#kad-banner #logo .kad-standard-logo {
background-image: url(“http://saintmarks.ecwwblog.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/STMarks_Logo_window-white.png”) !important;
}Is there additional CSS you can add so that the background stays purple the entire time/throughout the logo transition?
Thanks!

Hello Hannah.
When I first got to the page it appeared to be working. The background stayed purple and the logo had a jumpy transition from logo with text to logo with no text.
Then, I cleared my cache, refreshed the page, and the changes were gone. I checked in Theme Options > Custom CSS and the additional code you referenced is gone.
Not sure what’s happening…
Thanks for all your help!

In forum: Virtue ThemeYes, I removed it completely because it wasn’t entirely happy with the way it looked. I’ve tried the slider widget you mention and this is a lot better, but I don’t like or see the point of the excerpt here and there’s no option to omit it, ir to remove the date below the tiltle without having to remove the date from the actual post.
I’ve tried to revert back to the original recent post widget instead as that was overall still the better option despite the issues I mentioned in my original query. However, after removing thecss code you gave me and clearing the cache, I can no longer use that widget at all now (see previous comment) because it is not working as it was before.
I’m a bit wary of doing anything more now because after experimenting on the recent posts widget with the code you gave me, I can no longer use that widget at all because it’s not working as before even though I removed all the custom css code and cleared the cache (see my previous comment).
The problem with the widget now is that is shows NO thumbnail, just text, and even though tere appears to be a new tick box giving the option to include or exclude the date below the title, there is no longer any option to limit the recent posts to any particular category, as before. As it looks quite ridiculous I have removed it all together from the sidebar, which ios now completely empty.
So, all in all, I am much worse off than I was before I submitted my query.
Andrew
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeSo no I’m really confused, I just deleted all that custom css and removed the widget, cleared the cache to try to revert back to the recent posts widget instead, but now everything’s totally messed up when I try to use the recent post widget. The picture doesn’t appear and I can’t limit to a single category – though I’ve noticed that there’s a tick box where I can include or exclude the date…

In forum: Ascend ThemeJuly 24, 2018 at 3:43 pm #196878Hey Ben,
That is a relief, thank you.
I’ve signed up for free Moz trial and their notification confirmed 102 crawl issues and a loooooong list of speed issues (more than 1 page).
For me it came as a shock.I’ve installed total Cache and Smush. I know I still have a lot to learn and ‘time’ is a problem, therefore I might ask ‘stupid’ things.
I’ll rather ask than keep quiet 🙂thanks I will read the post.
regards

Hey,
You can upgrade an active theme subscription to full Kadence Membership at a prorated price right from your account page. https://www.kadencewp.com/my-account/Your main product image being shown as a thumbnail is intentional. This allows the user to navigate back to the main product image after clicking other thumbnail images. Previously when you clicked thumbnail images they opened in a lightbox rather than replacing the main product image so it was not necessary for the product image to also be a thumbnail. Does that make sense?
I’m seeing all your thumbnail images showing as they should. I tried in several browsers, including firefox. Have you tried clearing your cache?
Hannah
