    Hey,

So if you are on there pro plan and they don’t let you have 200,000 hits per month or 15,598 views (both are valid, hits are not views) then you need to find a better host. 200,000 hits are not that much. And while you can certainly improve that by running your own cron jobs, routing traffic through cloudflare free plan to remove some bad traffic and optimizing some things with browser cache to lessen hits per load. In the end the core issue is ridiculous. I’ve never heard of a host offering a “pro” plan that doesn’t allow 200,000 hits. Most hosts don’t’ count hits they limit by views.

Let me give you an example with hits.

Your home page has 64 different hits per page load. (not very uncommon and not a crazy amount). If that page is loaded 15,598 times that would be 998,272 hits to your server.

Hopefully, you are getting the picture. Hits are not something you go by and it’s insane to threaten to cancel an account for having 200,000 hits.

Now with that said 15,598 is a high traffic site. I certainly would not call that low traffic.

Here is a link to some speed and hosting recommendations https://www.kadencewp.com/need-for-speed/

But you may try looking at blue host if you need something less expensive.

    Hi Team Kadence,

After updating to 4.7.3, I realized that the option to turn on/off the Portfolio settings under Theme Options > Theme Extensions appears to be not working. I tried disabling all plugins (in case of conflict), disabling any other themes (in case of conflict), clearing the cache, and turning the feature on/off a few times but Portfolio is still showing up (even when set to off).

I assume something changed/got missed. Can this be fixed? Thank you!

If you’ve removed the CSS and it is still showing, then you probably need to clear your cache.

    Hello,

One quick way to test if the problem is due to your child theme would be to activate Virtue parent, clear your site’s cache, and then test the menu. This would quickly rule out the child theme as the problem if your issue persists.

Let me know if that makes a difference.

Thanks for reporting. The issue is your getting a cached version of the skin css file. I’ll have to add version control to it. Up to this point those don’t really change so they don’t have cache busting.

    Hello Justine,

The first thing to do here is test your plugins by deactivating one by one, seeing if the issue goes away when a certain plugin is OFF.

Be sure to clear your cache each time. I don’t believe that this is an issue with Virtue or any of our plugins, since this isn’t being reported by anyone else or isn’t happening on any of our test sites.

Let me know if you find a plugin issue.

    Hey,
So we are clear, if you make a change then go into your super cache settings and clear your cache you still don’t see the changes on your site?

Who is your host they may be adding their own cache.

Based on your suggestions, I tried several new approaches to fixing the problem, unfortunately none of them worked:
1 – I found out that my host automatically added a caching plugin to my site and so I turned it off and purged the cache. I then installed the Kadence Slider plugin, but the results were the same as every time before
2 – I tried to update the Kadence Slider plugin by going to Dashboard -> Updates, but that screen said that all plugins were up to date. This is strange because when I went to Plugins -> Installed Plugins, the message under Kadence Slider was “Update Required”

    What else should I try?

I did erase the cache but for some reason it was still there.
    Luckily it’s normal now.
    Sorry for bothering you!

Hmm, I’ve tried on several browsers and I can’t recreate. Have you cleared your browser cache? Are you using any browser extensions?

    Hey Milos,
I’m seeing it display the same on both Chrome and Firefox. Can you send a screenshot of what you’re seeing? Have you cleared your cache?

I just found your domain in another post. Looks like you’re using wp super cache. They require you clear your cache after every change is made. What are your caching settings?

Hannah, I don’t use a caching plugin so there is no cache for me to clear. As for downloading the plugin, I downloaded it yesterday and the same problem occurred as I outlined in the original post. Just to try something different, I installed an older version of Kadence Slider (v2.2.6) and the same problem happened as when trying to install 2.2.7. What else should I try?

    Hi Sandy,
Have you cleared your cache? Have you also tried redownloading the plugin? https://www.kadencewp.com/my-account/my-api-downloads/

I was cleaning up some stuff to address an SSL addition to the site and somehow the navigation duplicated the logo. I looked at the source and at the menu settings, but can’t see why it’s happening. I cleared the cache and refreshed, but no dice.

Any idea what may have happened?

    Thanks,
    Dean
