    Hey,
    All those have to do with your hosting provider. You need to contact your host.

    Ben

    #241823

    I am using the contact form template included with the theme. It looks fine on screen and says that the email has been sent, but it never gets to my email box. I made sure the address is updated in the MISC settings area and it is. Any ideas about what is getting in the way? My site is here

    Thanks – Lorian

    Makes sense!

    Just tried the default TwentyTwenty theme and started seeing the option.

    Will contact Artbees/Jupiter X for this then.

    Thanks for the support!

    #241783

    Wait, looks like a problem with my theme’s CSS. I’ll contact them sorry!

    #241749

    Is there anyway to edit the Additional Contact section of the email customizer? Im not of fan of the info that displayed here plus its left justified instead of centred in the email and doesn’t really fit with the email layout. Any help would be great thanks!

    #241745

    Hey,
    Sorry I might not be clear.

    Plugins don’t define fullwidth options inside Gutenberg. That is considered theme territory.

    See here: https://developer.wordpress.org/block-editor/developers/themes/theme-support/

    Wide align is considered an opt-in feature, and themes have to opt-in for that option to show in the Gutenberg editor. It’s not something we can control for the Jupiter X theme; you would need to contact the theme authors.

    Does that make sense?

    You can do a quick test if you like, install a Gutenberg ready theme, and you will see that align options.

    And I want to add that I haven’t added any short code etc. for the captcha to appear on the page. I have just chosen the contact form template and seen that this didn’t add a captcha to the contact page. I assume it should happen automatically.

    Thanks Ben.
    The client has insisted on the contact being on the home page (twice 🙁
    This works perfectly.

    Hello,

    I updated yesterday some plugins. Now my page is broken. Switching all plugins off does not fix it. Only when I switch to the Twenty Twenty theme it is fixed. So, what is going on with the theme?

    mrcardboard.eu

    Edit/Things tried and did not fix it:
    – Deactivate all plugins
    – Switch to PHP 7.3
    – Upload a fresh 2.5.6 Theme file
    – Cleared the Custom CSS section

    Best regards,
    Hendrik

    Hey,
    So you can manually force the contact menu item styles not to change, but based on how WordPress works, the active class will always be on a menu item that is directed at the active page. Since your “contact” menu item is for your home page (doesn’t matter if you have an anchor tag) WordPress will give it the active tag.

    #nav-second ul.sf-menu > li.current-menu-item.menu-contact-us {
        background: transparent;
    }
    #nav-second ul.sf-menu li.current-menu-item.menu-contact-us > a {
        color: white;
    }

    #nav-second ul.sf-menu > li.current-menu-item.menu-contact-us:hover {
        background: #f2f2f2;
    }
    #nav-second ul.sf-menu li.current-menu-item.menu-contact-us:hover > a {
        color: #da251c;
    }

    Hey Hannah,

    I’ve added the API Key but I am worried about the other steps:

    Upgrade From Free to Premium – Simply Active the Premium Theme. All your theme options will transfer.
    You will need to update your menu location assignments and your widgets. See steps below-

    Step 2 – Choose a menu(s) and assign it/them to the appropriate location(s) in the theme.
    Step 4 – Click and drag each widget back to the desired location (when switching themes widgets may switch widget areas or be placed in the “inactive” widget area).
    *Note be sure to deactivate the Kadence Toolkit plugin. It is not needed with our premium themes.

    Another thing: I also received an email from WordPress confirming the following:
    Howdy!

    Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site and notifies you with this automated email.

    In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Jetpack by WordPress.com.

    First, visit your website (https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/wp-admin/update.php?action=update-selected&plugins=boxzilla%2Fboxzilla.php%2Cjetpack%2Fjetpack.php%2Cmailchimp-for-wp%2Fmailchimp-for-wp.php%2Cwp-file-manager%2Ffile_folder_manager.php%2Cyith-woocommerce-category-accordion%2Finit.php&_wpnonce=7fbc3ba05d) and check for any visible issues.

    Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

    If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigates further.

    https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=gyN7hkKBND7NX8HPrZIbzX&rm_key=Ch0vHMVZ4hG2mFt1pKIjww

    To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

    When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 5.3
    Current theme: Ascend – Premium (version 1.9.2)
    Current plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com (version 8.0)
    PHP version 7.2.25

    Hey,
    Your contact us menu item links to your homepage. Is that intentional?

    Hannah

    #241510

    Hi
    (On desktop )
    When I select the home tab in the secondary menu, the contact us tab is also activated.
    How do I ensure only one tab is activated (when on home/ only home is activatd)?
    Pls advise

    Hi Ben,

    Yes, I’m on the latest Virtue theme 4.9.16

    Here is the part of the transcript where the support agent points out rev slider and virtue premium:

    [12:10:18] Gary: Does it show you which plugins aren’t compatible with 7.2?
    [12:12:03] Hania: the errors I can see here are related to revslider and the theme: virtue_premium
    [12:12:48] Gary: Ok, thanks. I’ll contact the theme designer to see if they have an update.

    I’m happy to give you my login info if you need it. As I mentioned in my initial message, I am a complete novice at this stuff. I’ve enjoyed the virtue premium theme, so please understand I am not throwing any heat at you or the theme. Just trying to get my website updated so my plugins all keep working!

    Thanks for any guidance, help.

    – Gary

    #241445

    Thank you for your reply. I now added a contact form my choosing contact as the template. The kadence reCAPTCHA however didn’t appear into the form by itself although it is activated. What can I do in order to get the captcha to appear?

    I found instructions about how to register public keys etc. I also tried to do this but for that you should go into settings of the reCAPTCHA plugin. I don’t have a “settings” link by my plugin.

    Can you please help me.

    Kristoffer

    #241442

    Hey
    Thanks for posting,

    1. Within virtue you have a contact page template that can add a simple contact form, our reCAPTCHA plugin will work with that page template contact form. See here: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/templates/contact-template/

    2. You don’t have to pay for premium to get reCAPTCHA in WPForms. It’s part of the free plugin. See here: https://wpforms.com/docs/setup-captcha-wpforms/

    3. We also have Kadence Blocks, within Kadence Blocks there is a Form block that you can use and within it you can set up google reCAPTCHA in the form block settings.

    I hope that helps!

    Ben

    #241420

    For the kadence reCAPTCHA plug in it says “Adds Googles reCAPTCHA in WP comments form plugin as well as Kadence Themes Contact and Testimonial Forms”.

    What is the Kadence contact form? Is this something else than the WPForms lite, because to that one you have to pay in order to get captcha to work?

    I would like to use the Kadence contact form and have the reCAPTCHA plug in to it working. Could you please help me and show me how to do it? I have already looked in the documentation, in the forum and googled as well. I have Virtue Premium.

    Thank you, Kristoffer

    Contacted Yoast and it turned out that I have an older version, a little bad that it doesn’t come up as a regular update of plugins but you have to do it manually.
