Hi! I inserted a Widget text in my Widgets->Primary Sidebar. I gave it a title and in the content I inserted a link to another site, which is my booking engine, appearing as a block.
On desktop screens, the title as well as the block are centered in the sidebar as desired.
When I reduce the screen width to mimic a smaller device, as well as on my iPhone 5, the title of the sidebar is centered aligned but the block is right aligned, which results on missing information. I tried quite a few things to make it centered, without luck…
Is there a way to make it appear centered? I think I cannot make it a bit smaller (although I which I could) but at least, centered aligned?
I will send you an admin login in a private message. My site is in maintenance mode for now.
Thanks! In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Translation in Icon Menu

September 2, 2015 at 3:25 pm #56954What page has the video.
Are you using any caching? If so then you can’t use the mobile switch because the cached copy will have the site built. and won’t run the code.
In your desktop settings set the background size to contain as a test

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Can't see arrow in Slider
Hi Ben/ Hannah,
I wrote a question a few days ago but haven’t heard back yet. Just wondering about my homepage slider – I would like to have an arrow indicating to scroll down but it’s not showing up.
Here’s my website – http://www.sarahhuntyoga.com
Thanks,
SarahIn forum: Virtue ThemeHave virtue Premium theme style one of the latest version. After everything seemed ok on practice site I started setting it up on real site. Downloaded latest version of virtue premium theme and then downloaded the Kadence Importer plugin and proceeded to download style 1 of the theme. Everything seemed to work well. Then attempted to change background color of header through the “Advanced Styling” but it would not take. It looks like the .headerclass background is not changing. Suggestions? Thanks.
As I had none of these problems with the old version could there be a problem with this new version.

September 2, 2015 at 2:44 pm #56932Hey,
I don’t think either thing is what you want. You can just contact your host and say “I don’t want to enter my ftp credentials to upload something to my site. How do I fix on this server”. It’s not a thing you need to figure out it’s a server setting.Ben
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Mobile Slider not responsive
Hi guys,
I’ve tried multiple setting but I haven’t been able to get the slider I have set up for mobile version to be responsive.
For the desktop version of the home slider I have chosen “Page Title” and uploaded a image as my header. It works perfectly, no issues there.
On the “Home Mobile Slider” page I have turned “on” the create a more lightweight slider for your mobile visitors, I chose “page title” just like on the main page, uploaded the same photo and have the options selected as “No Repeat” “Contain” and “Center Center”
here is the link to the site: http://www.thebreakfastball.com
I’ve been messing around with it for a while and cannot seem to get it right. Not sure what I’m missing.
Thanks in advance for the assistance.
Mathew

September 2, 2015 at 1:44 pm #56911Hey, Thank you are clarifying what you were trying to do. I am not trying to waist any time here and I was hoping for that at the beginning after I explained that a landing page template and a front page are totally different things.
First off. I highly suggest not doing this and I highly suggest convincing your client to use modern web design techniques. Having a user have to click to get it has been proven to make users leave without entering and with the design options you can easily add a video to the top of your home page.
Now If your going to do this anyway you have to understand that the home page is your front page. Period. YOu can’t have two the home page will always be the first page on your site.
so If you want to make that page just have a video you can using the home page layout options and home slider options.
For your second layer page (the one you keep calling home) that has to be built in pagebuilder as it’s not your front page. You can’t use the theme options to build. Here is a tutorial about using pagebuilder: https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder-virtue-premium/

In forum: Virtue ThemeHave virtue Premium theme style one of the latest version. This one, at least to me, does not make sense. After everything seemed ok on practice site I started setting it up on real site. Downloaded latest version of virtue premium theme and then downloaded the Kadence Importer plugin and proceeded to download style 1 of the theme. Everything seemed to work well. Then I went a custom logo but with no luck as the previous virtue logo would not leave in essence I had two logos, one over the other. I tried customizing the logo throught the “Appearance – Customizing” option and also throught the theme options “Main Settings”. Help!!! Thanks.

that will take the user to Home page .I think that I am making sense to you .So ,please help me how to do this.thanks in advance,

September 2, 2015 at 12:58 pm #56897Hey
Don’t add that css:.rowtight { display: none ; }That will break so many things. Please don’t edit core framework css.
1. That isn’t your home page. Nothing you do in the theme options > home layout will effect it. Your home page is the front page. You can’t make it another.
2. Your posts page is exactly that. a post page. If you set it as the page you called home or the page you called anything that doesn’t matter. When you set the post page to any page it will make it a page that displays posts.
Looking at your real home page it seems you are just wanting to put up a notice that you are working on your site. I suggest using a plugin like this:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-maintenance-mode/And then I suggest checking out this tutorial about the home page: https://www.kadencewp.com/creating-a-home-page-with-virtue/

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Active and hover background in secondary menu
Ya know what, I was looking for a little check box that said transparent like I’d seen elsewhere. It never occurred to me to type “transparent” into the color box, but it worked like a champ! Thanks much.
As for the text background areas in the Image Menu Item, I was thinking of playing around and trying a pale blue. I was even wondering if this could be transparent. You can view the site HERE.

Let me be clear, using the importer will replace all your current content. There isn’t really a way to import the content without replacing what you currently have. But we do have tutorials explaining the steps of getting your site set up like specific demo styles. https://www.kadencewp.com/tutorials/

September 2, 2015 at 11:36 am #56864Hey,
Can image is not helpful in terms of css. We need to see the code so it’s always better to post a link. If you need to leave a maintenance/coming soon plugin in you can also send a temp login to your site. All of this is for your main menu.. you added via email (you can’t do that) you have to copy from there because the code is sanitized in an email so yours is broken.
#nav-second ul.sf-menu>li { width: auto; display: inline-block; float: none; } #nav-second { text-align: center; } #nav-second ul.sf-menu>li>a { padding-left: 10px; padding-right: 10px; }This will make the icons smaller:
.sf-menu li a i { font-size: 18px; }Ben

September 2, 2015 at 11:17 am #56859Hey,
“old files couldn’t be removed”
That is a server issue. Its permissions but understand that it’s not just about folder permissions. It has to do with php user permissions. Your errors allows point to your site trying to connect with wordpress.org and it not wanting to work (a different server issue).I suggest you contact your host. Give them a chance to fix there issues and help you set up the server correctly. If they won’t help then thats a great time to find a new host. There are plenty great hosts who can set you up with a working wordpress install.
