In reply to: Mobile slider option not working correctly.
So it still was not working correctly until I did not cache the homepage as you said. So is there a slide ratio you can recommend that looks good on desktop and mobiles so I can use the same slider? I prefer to cache the page for performance reasons if possible.
Thanks! In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Virtue Premium Mobile Slider

January 16, 2018 at 5:45 pm #175362It was weird that the mobile sliders were showing up on my desktop as I never set it to do that. Not sure where I went wrong.
You can’t page cache on your home page if you are going to load the slider based on mobile or desktop. You have to turn page caching off. Else the page cache will just return the last cached slider instead of seeing what type of device is requesting the site and outputting the slider for that device. you can add the home page to the exclude list.
If you are going to page cache the home page then you need to use just one slider that works for all screen sizes.

Have you enabled a mobile menu from Appearance > Menus? The simple mobile header (and actually mobile view in general) would pull from that, rather than your primary or secondary menu. After enabling the mobile header did you clear your cache? View this demo from mobile and let me know if that header layout would work for you (you wouldn’t need to enable the search and account cart icons.) http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-3/

January 10, 2018 at 12:38 pm #174642Hey,
The slider, you can’t have the same slider added to the page twice. Only one will load because of the slider ID even if one is set to not show, in your case the mobile slider. You seem to have added the same slider into the desktop and mobile, if you want to use the same slider just use one slider and turn off the mobile slider option. As for resizing. The Kadence slider will shink your text and images in proportion to the size of the grid. So you have a 1170 grid so on a screen size of 585px your content will be exactly 1/2 the size they start out at.
So in your case where you want wide content and full height, then you want content that isn’t small on smaller screens you can use two sliders just make one slider for mobile where the grid size is more of a mobile size. I did this for you and added it to your settings so you can see the output.
Another option would be to add your content using the Kadence legacy slider. This slider doesn’t have unlimited layer options or the ability to place layers and animate them in different but based on the slider you created it would do what you have and instead of sizing based on the ratio of the grid you can set specific font sizes for tablet and mobile.
In terms of why so much memory needed, I see 19 plugins running. you are running woocommerce and woocommerce subscriptions which are two very larger and heavy plugins along with wordfence and paid memberships and pagebuilder extra widgets. I would actually suggest you increase your max memory to more like 512mb. If you get a decent amount of customers subscriptions plugin alone is going to need more.
Perhaps there is a misunderstanding about how the php setting work. This doesn’t mean your site is going to constantly run using that much memory but in a situation where caches are building it may need to access that much.
Also I really strongly suggest you update your php to version 7 that will improve your speed as well.
I hope that helps,
Ben

January 8, 2018 at 5:39 pm #174403Can you send me a login so I can take a look at your settings? I can only see a cached response. And I can’t recreate on my test site.
