In reply to: Kanence slider disappears when autoptimize
July 7, 2017 at 4:06 pm #151034If you want to load two sliders and hide one based on the screen size you can certainly do that with css. The theme options just allows you to load one or the other based on the device but you can’t cache a response then give that to every device.

Hey Andrew,
Have you tried deactivating all of the cache plugins on your site? Each cache plugin controls the cache, not your actual site, so if there are no cache plugins active, then you can completely eliminate caching as your issue.
Unless maybe your host has a cache that needs to be cleared.
Could you share a link to your site so that I can see if there are any obvious errors? You may want to test your other active plugins by going through and deactivating one by one to see if the issue goes away when a certain plugin is off.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Clearing the site cache
Hi Kadence,
I am trying to clear my site cache as the homepage refuses to update to a new homepage. I have tried a few site cache plugins like Super Cache but they seem to have no effect! I have obviously cleared all my browser cache, history etc etc.
Do you have any suggestions?
Many thanks,
Andrew

oke.. the problem is back! Now looking again at w3 total cache and I cannot find a checkbox for the front page caching… Mabey this is due to an update?!
So it looks like front page caching is always turned on now when using page cache… so there is no way to use a different slider for mobile without problems…

Oh well. Thanks for the in depth feedback, which I’ve passed on. But I didn’t expect any results from him.
I turned off the built in WordPress Minify and Page Cache plugin (under performance) but it didn’t make a difference.
I also turned off all plugins, one by one, but nothing changed how the uploading functionality worked.
Anyhow, we’ve all spent too long trying to figure this out. Doesn’t seem there is going to be a solution, so it’s better that I just find a replacement plugin.
Thanks again guys. Always grateful for your help.

June 30, 2017 at 10:27 am #150411Hey,
You are using “WP-Super-Cache” this plugin cache must be cleared every time you make a change. This isn’t about the browser it’s a plugin on your site that you need to clear it’s cache.

Hi Hannah, Thanks the clearing cache seemed to work but they are both sliding in from right to left and I have them set them the same as you have on your coffee demo page – left sliding from left to right and the right sliding from right to left it seems that maybe one is overriding the other. The animate also only seems to only work once, if I scroll up and take the row off screen then go back the animate stops functioning unlike your coffee demo that I have open in another tab in Firefox. Yes I used WP super cache to clear the cache and I made sure all plugins are updated but the sliders are still not working.
The slider shortcode is there, but nothing loads. I can view them fine in the slider revolution tab.
I recently updated WordPress to 4.8 and the theme and plugins.
Sorry I wasn’t sure what you previouslt meant regarding posting the link.

June 29, 2017 at 9:28 am #150269Hey,
1. Yes you have installed fastest cache.2. og:type, og:url and og:imageare there from yoast. If facebook is saying they can’t see it, that would be a caching issue as they are seeing an older cached page. If you look at your page you can view source and look in the head and see that those are set.
3. fb:app_id – that only has to do with share tracking which you don’t have a plugin set up for that so while Facebook suggests having it it’s not required to share as your url would be the default.
