Update to 4.2.4 and then clear your cache and try on your device without the css.

July 17, 2017 at 10:45 am #152104Hey,
gzipped the font is 106.1 kB. If your trying to improve your speed then cutting 106 kb from your load is probably not going to give you any noticeable difference. You likely have other issues that you need to resolve. Post a link and I can offer some advice.I have no wish to use icons in the content of my posts, yet the large kt-icon file is loaded with each page.
Once it’s loaded it’s in the browser cache (assuming your following our speed advice: https://www.kadencewp.com/need-for-speed/)
so removing it from specific posts wouldn’t really help your speed since if someone gets to your site they click on a post they’ve already loaded it.
Is there any way that you would consider creating a set of font files that contain only those icons used for the theme template styling, e.g. the search box magnifying glass, which could be loaded with each page and would be much smaller than the current kt-icon file that contains all icons?
This could be something I consider adding an as option inside the theme options but it’s worth noting again that you’re making “would be much smaller” sound like it’s a very large file. The really brilliant thing about icon fonts is that they are very small.

I would recommend WP Rocket (https://wp-rocket.me/) or W3 Total cache (https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/).

Good to know it only is supposed to change the iPad. However, I cleared the cache on Chrome on the iPad. I tossed the page. I opened a new tab. I checked the page. Still looks the same. The “Choose an Option” fields are overlapping the sidebar — in landscape mode, not in portrait mode, cause there’s no sidebar that way.

Ben I’m not sure how you saw it working. I only had one bracket at the end. Since your post I’ve added the second bracket, I’ve tried it again, set as low as 50, cleared cache, and it still looks exactly the same on the desktop. On the iPad I’m at a loss as to how to clear the cache in Chrome or Safari. It’s currently set to 100px.

I see its fixed on the archive page, but not in the post content itself. How do I edit the script to fix it as well?
Thanks, script looks too complicated for my knowledge, i wouldn’t fix it without you.
Hmm. Ill also try to restart varnish and apache. Maybe error was cached on back-end.

When I view your site, I’m seeing the font color represented correctly, with the darker font appearing on screen sizes over 768px. I’ve tested in Chrome and Firefox on a macbook pro and it seems to be working.
Did you clear your cache after adding the CSS?

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeThanks Hannah, that does the trick!
One weird thing, though. When I check the site on desktop, the info bar is completely gone and just the image is displayed so it’s perfect. But on mobile devices the short description is gone but the price is still there.
Tried on multiple (Android with FF or Chrome) phones & tablets and get the same result, although going into landscape instead of portrait on tablets does fix it. Cleared the Varnish cache from the site dashboard but it didn’t change. Any idea what’s going on?

July 10, 2017 at 3:11 pm #151300You seem to be using the commet cache plugin. Have you tried clearing it and disabling it? Then possibly using a different caching plugin.
Have you looked inside your php error log? Could be you have a script running in an endless loop.
I’m seeing that your page size is 4.0 MB which is unusually large for a page.
You need to make sure to compress your images before upload: http://compresspng.com
I’m looking and it seems with each one you could be saving 70%

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Flex Slider-Can't delete slides
In forum: Virtue ThemeI previously had 6 slides on my home slider. I want to reduce them down to 3 slides. I can do that with no problem using Theme Options–>Home Slider…only 3 slides remain. I flush the GoDaddy cache. But when I run tools.pingdom.com or PageSpeed to test my site it shows that the 3 deleted slides are still loading. Also the previous slider with 6 slides shows up on other computers. It’s almost as if when saving the Home Slider it takes in the Theme Options but does not upload to the host. Strange and frustrating!
