In reply to: Ascend Carousel widget issue
The following did not work for me:
[carousel type=cat-products orderby= date columns = 5 cat=batting-cages]
I have this in a “Visual Editor” widget. On my dev site it shows shows up as a blank line. I have a category of “Batting Cages.” Not sure what is wrong here. I purged cache too.

Thanks. /Bob
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Display glitch
Hi, I am having an issue on my website when the index page first loads(clear cache before testing), the ‘Featured’ section produces a glitch whereby the items will become enlarged for about 3 – 5 seconds before restoring to its normal state.
I have tried another 2 themes and the glitch was not present.

Have you tried deactivating plugins to see if there is any difference? It seems that you may have one or two conflicting with proper theme functionality.
If you haven’t already, try deactivating your plugins to see if the issues persist.
Be sure that you clear your cache after deactivating to be sure that the changes are taking effect.
Let me know if that helps.

Then turn off all browser caching. The nav is just HTML. It’s built when the page loads through php. Since it’s cached in the browser the page isn’t loading through php.
The theme has not input or effect on this.

ok I just flushed the server cache with Siteground. So I really don’t know what to do here. So now I will try saving the page using the feature template and hiding that header image and this time using a kadence pro slider. It is responsive, but they’ve make the text so wide in the art that I think it cannot keep up with the screen widht. Take a look and you will see all of the manager, regional mangager stuff getting cut off as the page size gets smaller.

April 28, 2017 at 9:26 am #143318What could be the reason?
Your host, hosting makes the biggest change way more than any minifying.
You can not add css to the theme style.css file and you shouldn’t.
If you are using a child theme then you can add css to your child theme style.css file. But note that you would have to clear all browser and site cache for any changes to show.
Also, you would have to make your css more specific if you’re trying to override something you can set in your theme options.
The css output is
– parent theme
– child theme
– theme options
– custom css box.So in some cases, if you’re tyring to override the theme options you just need to make your css more specific.
