Hey Lori,
It’s strange that setting your site identity did not change this. Are you using a plugin to clear your cache?
I would recommend installing Yoast. It will allow you to set titles and meta titles for your pages. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/Hannah
In forum: Reply To:Try this instead:
.footerclass { padding-top: 1px; -moz-box-shadow: 0px -3px 6px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.35); -webkit-box-shadow: 0px -3px 6px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.35); -o-box-shadow: 0px -3px 6px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.35); box-shadow: 0px -3px 6px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.35); border-top: 2px solid #F9C835; margin-top:10px; }That should make it compatible amongst all browsers. Make sure you clear your cache after adding.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Change Browser Tab Title
Hi,
I’m sure I must be missing something simple, but I can’t get the browser tab to stop reading: Virtue Premium Demo Site. (Of course, it should show my site name.) I went through all the settings under Theme Options and all the regular WordPress settings. Also went under Customize: Site Identity, and I have everything set to my site name. I also emptied cache just in case. Thanks in advance for your help. *Login to see link . –Lori

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Why does Fullwidth Slider Work Only Intermittently
March 30, 2017 at 3:00 pm #139433Hey,
1. Your using an old version of the theme. You should always update before asking questions.2. Your using caching so if you are also enabling the mobile menu option then you can create problems for youself if the same page cache is being used for both mobile and desktop. Some plugin (wp-rocket cache) keep the page cache seperate. It looks as though you are using w3 total cache so if you are using a different slider for mobile then you need to turn off page caching for your front page. Otherwise the caching is keeping the site from being able to check for mobile and output the correct slider. Thus you would be outputing whatever is in the cache.
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Home Mobile Slider vs Page Header
Hi Hannah,
Thank you for your quick reply. I have tried to install the said plug-ins for cache, which I was using “WP Fastest Cache” so I deactivated and activated W3 Total Cache with no results. What I am getting is the “Header” image not going to full Cover when I activate the Home Mobile Slider to “ON” (Both tablet and mobile and to fit the mobile screen).
When I turn it to “Off” everything is Ok on my Desktop view but back on my mobile it will “Blow out” out of proportion making the visibility unprofessional (Header).
When I turn it to “ON: everything is Ok on my Mobile view but back on my Desktop it will “Resize (Small Header pic)”.This is also by refreshing my cache; deleting; purging.

So looks like right now you do not have the mobile slider enabled, correct? No Mobile slider is disable, I will turn it on for you to see the difference.
After enabling previously did you clear your cache? Yes/Always (trick Ctrl F5)
Are you using the latest version of the theme? Yes Version: 1.8.7In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Home Mobile Slider vs Page Header

I also tried disabling the Avast web shield that I use, just in case that was somehow blocking the Google fonts from loading. Disabling the web shield and then emptying the cache didn’t help, so that’s not the problem. I also tried disabling all plugins on the site and that didn’t help, so it shouldn’t be any of the other plugins running.

That’s strange. What OS and browser are you using?
I just tried clearing the cache again to be sure. I tried in Firefox and Safari (I’m on Mac OS X 10.11.6). I tried it on a Mac Pro, a Mac Book Pro and a Mac Book on 10.6.11. The fonts worked fine here in the old 2.5.6 version of the template and only stopped when I upgraded to the 4.0.6 version. They only work for me on the home page which uses the Revolution slider, as if that’s forcing them to load. If I switch the Revolution slider off on the home page then the fonts fail to load there as well.
Any other ideas?

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Album and description
I recently created an album and am going to stick in several galleries. Not really knowing what I was doing I added a description to the Album, which very creatively, I called “Album.” This was just to remind me what I was using it for. The description said, “Name for collection of galleries.” I then created a gallery, called “Assembly Setup” and added a bunch of images. I then proceeded to add these to my menu. However, the topbar, where I have the menu items appear, now show the description of the Album, under it and under the drop down menu item “Assembly Setup” even though there is no description for that gallery. I then went back and deleted the description for the Album, reloaded (F5) so as to clear the cache, and it still shows the description. I then closed out the tab completely, added a new window and it still shows. Not sure what’s going on or how to get rid of the description.
One final question, perhaps I am using the gallery and or album for the wrong purpose, but I am not able to add any description on top of the gallery, like I was in my old site. See: *Login to see link
As you can see, I used a “portfolio” there. What’s the difference between a gallery and a portfolio?

Oops, one final final question. How can I change the size of the images in the gallery? Unless I put a lot of columns in the gallery, the images are very large, unlike your Shopping demo. How can I make the images smaller on a gallery by gallery basis? Can I only control them by one overall image size? Thanks. /Bob DeCloss
In forum: Ascend ThemeGood Morning,
We are having trouble getting the default featured image for blog posts to show.
I’ve been into theme options > Blog settings and set a default image but when I check the site I always get the grey box with the 270 x 310 writing on it.
If I manually add a featured image it works but the set default featured image won’t display.I’ve cleared the browser cache to make sure but no luck.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Creating slider in blog post
Hi Hannah
I use Chrome. I cleared the cache and I’m still seeing 4 individual images http://www.theexcursionista.com/ – I’m not talking about the feature slider at the top where there is my elephant image plus the Kadence sample images. I mean the next bit down where my post is featured, and also on the post page itself http://www.theexcursionista.com/
When clearing the cache in Chrome didn’t work I tried viewing in Safari (which I never use so there would be no cache to clear) and I’m still seeing 4 images instead of a slider, on both the home page and the blog page.
