Ok I’m confused then, if you don’t know how to clear your cache then why did you say you did that?

I’ve tried clearing before and after asking here. It’s still showing.

Understand that w3 total cache is controlling your cache. You must clear the cache in the plugin settings?

That password didn’t work either. Are you trying this before posting the login here?

So do you know how to clear w3 total cache? Becuase that would control that cache for this?

Your login doesn’t seem to work for me?

    Hello Calle,

Setting visibility to hidden should remove it from your shop page regardless of the login status on your site.

Have you tried clearing your cache after changing the product visibility? You could be seeing an older version of the page.

Let me know if this helps.

ok, so you need to give google time to clear it’s cache of your site. There is only one title there and if google is showing something differnet re-submit your sitemap and wait for google to update. It can take two weeks but usually is faster.

Yeah, that post is really helpful if you’re looking to optimize your site’s speed.

I use W3 Total Cache as a great free option for caching. It works well and is pretty straightforward to configure.

    Hello Lourdes,

The theme is known to work well with W3total cache. Can you post a link so I can see what your site’s doing? Are you running into the issue when you’re trying to install the plugins?

Some more info and a link to your site will be helpful in determining the issue.

    Thanks,
    -Kevin

    Hi Hannah,

Thanks for the speedy reply! Yes, I have cleared my cache. I’m on Firefox but just in case, I did test it in two other browsers. Just to be clear, I’m talking about the blog feed on the HOME page. Screen shot: http://www.yourorganizedlife.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Screen-Shot-2016-09-19-at-7.33.17-AM.png

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I was looking through the forum and saw that there are a couple of problems related to page caching.

Here I’d like to ask which way of page caching and and performence boosting works best (or at least without problems) with Virtue Theme.

So, apart from using PHP7 and OPCache, which should work fine, do you suggest a certain WP plugin, or do you think a server based caching option, like Googles Pagespeed mod, works better?

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

    Bests,
    Sascha

Hi … First I really love the look of this theme but for some reason I get problems everytime I use a plugin … I increase my memory and now that I am trying to use W3total Cache it just brings me to a buffering error so I try Wp Super Cache instead and still gives me an error with that plugin .. I would appreciate any help … I have been even though about reinstalling everything from start from all the errors my website gets ..

No, the original page shouldn’t have effect on your clone page. Have you tried clearing your cache?

I suppose it would depend on how old the cache is. If it’s loading your current site with the premium theme, than the cache isn’t old enough to redirect to your old 404 page.

Ok, I was thinking along those lines already Ben thank you. I am still confused about this though perhaps you could shed some light on this. If Google is looking at old cached information (I think you are right) should not the 404 page that I assigned in Pinnacle still be directing to the page I assigned in Pinnacle Pro hence no error messages in web master tools? It is a little confusing ; )

P.S I almost forgot, I have a site map up and running with Google web master tools,

Thanks Ben – I will check with the host, as w3 total cache was deactivated on this occassion.

    #112882

Just to explain. “page caching” is what causes w3total cache to show the “wrong” slider. And you can turn page caching off just for the front page.

The php (server side code) checks if the user is on mobile or standard and outputs the slider that matches. But if you have page caching enabled then those functions only run every couple hours (depending on your caching settings). And the output is cached and served up to the next user. So if the page is cached while on mobile then the mobile slider could show to the next person on desktop.

Now if your seeing this on your site with w3 total cache deactivated you would want to check with your host settings to make sure there is no page caching happening (some hosts do this) as well as other plugins. (there are several security plguins that add caching).

You need to give google time to rescan your site. If your removed links then it’s possible google is just seeing cached files that link to pages now removed.

Best also to create a sitemap and submit that to google.

    Hello Leah,

I’m only seeing one slider load on both mobile and desktop. Have you changed your settings at all? Are you clearing your cache after you make changes to your site?

    Hi Hannah

There is a licence key in there. I’ve cleared the cache and everything, it’s still showing a map in France : (
