    Hi Hannah, Ben,
    thanks for looking.
I have cleared the cache, however the result has not improved. It seems that the shake occurs in parallel to the right hand scroll bar loading, maybe this is a pointer?
    Thanks – Rob

    Hey,
I am seeing the same content on both your sites and they are showing more than just the blog. Have you tried clearing your cache? Can you send a screenshot?

    Hey Rob,
I just checked your site for a while on Chrome and couldn’t get this issue to happen. Have you tried clearing your cache?

    Hey Jenny,
I’m seeing all the images in your slider display fullwidth. Have you tried clearing your cache?
What other images are you trying to make fullwidth? I would suggest using page builder and setting the row layout to fullwidth stretched. You can do this either by setting your homepage as a static page or using the home widget area and adding a layout builder widget.
    Hope that helps!

Hi there! I am loving the Pinnacle Theme. Thanks for the great design!

I recently changed my business name & URL and managed to take care of everything with Bluehost and some figuring out on my end. The only problem I’m having is that I cannot change my LOGO and FAVICON. When I go into Appearances => Customize, all I get is the message “Customize: Loading…” up top and a spinning ball, never ending, on the right-hand side of the screen. I can make the changes I need to make in Site Identity / Logo, but because the right-hand side of the screen doesn’t resolve, I cannot save. Which means I cannot change anything. I’ve tried to work with Bluehost on this (not helpful) and have posted in the WP.org forums. But I’m stymied. Any ideas? (I have cleared my cookies & cache in Chrome, but still nothing.)

    Thank you so much!
    Caroline

ok, so there is caching, that could be part of the difference. I don’t know godaddy’s caching settings but it may purposefully force the refresh of the cache if your logged in.

No, I used to have zen cache, but I got rid of it because it was clashing with the GoDaddy’s caching that’s on my site via the SSL I added from them.

I’m seeing quite a few 404 errors on your site. This usually has to do with missing files. I would first recommend re-saving your permalinks and clearing your cache. If there’s no change I would suggest contacting your host to see if they any insight.

    Hey,
There are quite a few things happening. the main thing is your browser. for example try your site using firefox. It will work like you want.

Chrome has yet to use the same technology as firefox in this. So it rebuilds the page. even if partially cached. It also tries to remember where you were based on the height from the top of the page. When rebuilding the page the grid has to be re aligned and since it’s not static content it’s height isn’t determined until the page is loaded and thus when chrome tries to scroll you to where you were it’s not possible because the page isn’t loaded enough to be that high yet.

While I’ve been hoping for browser to work more like firefox I am working on an css trick that would make even chrome not have to redetermine the iso grid size, look for that in the next couple updates.

You will want to give that file download about 5 minutes. The cache will still point to 3.5.7

    Hey Jay,
I just checked your site from three different browsers and it seemed to be working fine in all. Have you cleared your cache? How did you go about updating?

    #89264

    Hey,
If you’re using page caching on the front page then the script to check for mobile won’t run (no script runs because it just outputs the cache). so in this case you can turn off page caching just for the front page in your page caching settings of w3 total cache.

Have you tried clearing your cache after making the changes? That might help the situation. If that doesn’t work, then you could also go through your activated plugins one by one and deactivate them to see if the changes take place then.

Would it be possible for you to post a link to your site as well?

    Thanks!

    Quentin,
I’m also now seeing a slider on your homepage. Have you cleared your cache?

    Hi Hannah,

Thanks very much. I think i worked out what the problem was. I cleared the cache in WP Supercache and this allowed me to ulilise this widget.

    kindest regards,

I must be missing something. I went to theme options > home slider. enable the home slider and saved. Cleared cache and I could see the slider above the header on the home page.

I turned it back to none so it’s off.

    What is the problem?

    1. Don’t’ use super cache. Use wp rocket or w3 total cache as I recomend in “need for speed”.
    2. Just because you’re not deferring the js doesn’t mean it’s slowing down the site in any major way. it just means none of your scripts are being deferred. Always understand what a score means in whatever test you’re using.
    3. What is your url? As I mention in “need for speed” compression is what you need to really work with when it comes to images. I recommend 1600px in dimensions if your images are compressed correctly.
The “specify image dimensions” doesn’t have to do with file size though. Thats a rendering thing (accounts for next to nothing in terms of overall page loading) and I need to see your page to see what images are not specified.
