Hi, I was using Chrome at college. Yes the CSS is still in place, perhaps it has had an effect then but I need to clear the cache as you say. I’ll try it on the college machines again tomorrow and let you know!

    Thanks

What browser are you using? I have checked on chrome, firefox, and Safari, but the space is not showing up for me. do you still hve the CSS from the other post you mentioned on your page?

Perhaps you need to clear your cache before the CSS will effect your view of the page.

    Hi
I have a site in development, I was deleting pages and posts that I don’t need any longer, at some point I noticed the default Visual Editor was just a blank square, for any post, page or cpt.
The frontend is working fine. Every other function or feature I have tested is working fine. I cleared browser cache and cookies. I switched browser. Even an incognito window. I checked another WP site I have in the same server and it is perfect. I have a local copy of the site (not fully updated) it shows no problem.
Anyone has a suggestion to troubleshoot this? I would be thankful.
Anyway this is a site in development I can remove everything and reload, but for my own peace of mind I would like to know what happened.
    Thanks

Thanks Guys, Cache plugin was troubling me.. 🙂

    Ben,

I have changed the settings so that,

    Site Address (URL) = https://www.widefootdesign.com

This doesn’t seem to have fixed my issue.

However, I have frantically been trying to find what is causing this issue, and it seems that the WP Total Cache plugin I installed a few days ago seems to be the cause. I have found that if I change the Page cache method from Disk: Enhance (the default setting), to Disk: Basic I no longer have the ssl script loading problems.

    Thank you for your time.

Everything seems to be looking/working fine? What exactly are you seeing? Have you tried clearing your cache?

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for your reply. Yes I did clear the caching plugin prior to posting. Did you use Chrome to browse? Somehow Chrome will seem to load the scripts because I have visited the non-ssl version in the past, did you look at the non-ssl version of the site first? When I clear my chrome browsing cache and look at the ssl version, the scripts will not load. It seems other browsers I have tried (IE and Safari), will fail to load the scripts regardless of visiting the non-ssl version of the site beforehand.

    Thank you

Hey, It looks like you copied this css from an email and not from the forums. You have to copy from the forums for it to work, Try that and then clear your cache.

    #82707

Hmm? The link I just posted shows you a blank page? I can see your sitemap?

    Have you cleared your cache?

Hi just looking at my source code, I se that the horizontal menue appears twice in code, I have messed around with my template, but after looking at this site, I see yous ite also ahs the menu appear twice in the source code.

Im thinking this will have a negtive impace on SEO? because I now have twice as many liks going to the same pages.

Im cnot concerned about the links but more the text in the links appearing twice to google, messsing up my keyword frequeny.

I looked at your site,ad mine with google cache and see that it is the same for this site,

Is there a way to an if else or serve up a different version that dosent display the menue twice. Im assuming its one for regular browser, and one for mobile??

    cheers,

    Hi Ben,

Thank you for the advice. I did exactly (New update and deleted cache) what you said and things seem to be working, except the Related Products are still not showing up. Example: http://www.surfergirls.com/shop/surf-art/lifestyle-art/california-gentleman-surfer/

So what do I need to do now to make this work?

    Thank you,
    Kathy

Hey, First off you should update the theme, see here: https://www.kadencewp.com/manually-updating-a-theme/

Then make sure to clear your supercache.

    Sorry meant custom css.

I’m not seeing this in your custom css output?

Have you cleared the rocket cache?

    Ben

    #82550

Didn’t find advanced settings, put it in the Custom CSS Box. Cleared the cache, didn’t help.

    Hey Mohan,
I am seeing your secondary menu display fine. What browser are you using? Have you tried clearing your cache?

Because it’s not a file and not cached the same way.

    #82244

Sounds like you might be using pagecaching? You can’t have page caching and have a different sliders show based on device. Caching makes the script not run that would check which device you are using.

If your using w3 total cache you can turn off page caching for the home page right in the page caching settings.

That has to do with caching, you would need to clear your complete browser cache to see the updates.
